eh, i give it a 2/10. its definately something a charr would be yelling… in a drunken rage. not much of a name otherwise.

Anrael Bloodwraith, proud Warrior of the Blood Legion. Runs in roaring, walks out dripping in the blood of his enemies.

8.5/10 Anrael almost sounds like an elf name maybe sylvari but Bloodwraith is an awesome surname!

Deleted some of my old Charr but I now have my FINAL three! (Ash and Zarric were already entered so I wont repost them!)

Cryptus Corpserazor – The necromancer of the Razor Warband. Secretive and dark in humor and personality, Cryptus is a loner and finds comfort in his necromantic creations. His constant companions are his Bone Fiend and his Bone minions which he lovingly calls his pets. He likes to frequent dark swamps and tombs to train and learn new methods to his necromancy. Being born in Ascalon he is in the perfect environment to hone his dark skill!

8/10 I like the sound of it, it does sound like a charr name. What’s funny too is that one of my characters joined the Razor Warband before (What used to be a Guild on TC) :P Also the surname Corpserazor has a nice ring to it and fitting for a necromancer, also sounds a lot like corpse raiser.

Now for mine I’m just going to post one for now, might post the others later.

Redgen Furyblaze – A charr guardian who used to be a part of the Flame Legion, though defected, and started a new within the three legions. Starting from a Gladium/scrapper, to being recruited into the vigil, and then after many events, became a bandmate of the Shade Warband, of the ash legion.

I give it a 8/10. Redgen is an awesome first name, and the story was fine, though Furyblaze doesn’t sound very smooth. It may be cool, but it doesn’t have a great ring to it, which cost you a point. What also cost you was the epic-level of the name. I tend to give 9/10 to anyone who doesn’t have anything wrong with the name, but they don’t stand out as “Super-Awesome”.

Here’s mine:
-Lycanthus Sineater[Necromancer]: Once the leader of a human separatist faction, he was the most merciless and ferocious man known, he was invited to a parley with a noble ambassador and friend of the Queen. He accepted, but only to give the ambassador the most ruthless end which earned him his fate. Having his subordinates murder on of the ambassadors children and chop them up to put in the ambassador’s own stew secretly, along with an amount of Zhaitan’s corruption, the Ambassador died with his undead son killing him from inside out. Eventually, a Mesmer Sylvari found the truth of this case and found it was his Wyld Hunt to track this man down and have him pay for his sin. Once found, there was a battle and he lost, but the Sylvari didn’t kill him. Instead, he bent realities to his will and time warped in ways previously unknown, forcing change onto Lycan. Forced into the form of a Charr, which he had known as sworn enemies before, the Sylvari condemned him to stay Charr for the rest of his life until he understood them and his hate dispersed.
When he was sent to the plains of Ascalon where a Charr outpost was set up, he wiped them out with his dark magic, the fact of him being Charr putting their guard down. He was eventually found and captured. The legions found him guilty of treason, but also found his skill and attitude useful, thus condemning him to the Sin Warband, full of strong and powerful criminals of a level of skill in murder, the most brutal Warband. It was with them that his hate for Charr disappeared, replaced with an admiration for Charr ruthlessness. He took “Eater” up as his surname, as well as changing his first name into a more Charr-like adaptation. The “Eater” was almost meant mockingly to the Sylvari and his crime.

Wtf am I reading?

8/10 for the name. It sounds fitting for a Charr and is themed with the profession.

9/10 for the thief- Suitably Charr and fitting for profession and legion. Could use a little backstory. 7/10 for the engineer, because honestly that sounds like a name more fitting for a Blood Legion charr or at least a warrior- But at least it sounds like a Charr name.

Mine’s Mera Steeljaw, Iron Legion warrior. (and yes, female, hence the “softer” first name) She got the name for having nerves of steel when under pressure, mostly. She’s the sort that just doesnt break.

9/10 This is a good name for an Iron Legion Charr, the more I think about it the more it seems to fit her. It makes me think that she can’t be swayed once she decides on something. Like when you set your jaw to do something and go through with it from start to finish. Also it works with her legion so that’s always a plus!

Petush Hammertail, a warrior of the Blood Legion.
She got her name from toppling foes on the field with her tail before raining her hammer down on them. She has good balance above all.

When she was young, other cubs fought with her because of her Gladium of a sire, and so she learned to use her entire body to fight. It gave her the upper hand in some fights until she was able to become old enough to get a weapon which could crush her opponents.

I like the story behind the name, while it is a bit off, it works well. I like the first name Sarku.

My only Charr at the moment, untill I make a Warrior, is my Charr Guardian Raska Bladebreaker of the Blood Legion. I see him as leader of sorts, he leads the charge, and inspires his warband to do their best. ‘Blade’ being the name of his warband, ‘Breaker’ being given to him as he broken a great many, a master of defense, as is many who walk the Guardian path. I plan to change it to ‘Bladeward’ if I get a name change in a Black Lion Chest.

Raska Sounds like a charr name. 9/10

My charr is Lion King Tavros(for the pun and backstory)
The story is that the Lion warband seceded from the legion and founded a small kingdom near blood legion homelands ruled by their faithful legionnaire Tavros

I like the name Tavros but i feel like lion king doesn’t really fit.

My charr is a iron legion warrior named Rhendak Ragetear.

The story is that as a cub while playing in the fields with his friends the flamelegion showed up and attacked them, leaving Rhendak for dead while abducting his friends.
The screams of the cubs still haunt rhendak to this day and left him with an unstoppable rage and hatred towards flame legion.

I’ve got Locke Gunmetal, female Charr Engineer.

I like how Locke feels very legitimate as a name also how and it plays off of “gun” (“flintlock” and what not). Locke Gunmetal. 8.5/10. Quite a fine name.

Vectuus is an Engineer; Frofor, a Ranger. Somehow I never enjoyed the idea of adding a surname/warband name. I guess that makes them both gladiums.

Gonna give that a 7/10 since “Sky” doesn’t sound so Charry to me, yet “Shatteredge” is just right.

So since i’ve made me second Charr who shall now lead me to glory! I thought to get a rate on his name too

Vatlaaw Clawmonger – Necromancer – Ash Legion

Was going to have something like Soulmonger, but I decided that not only does Vatlaaw play with your soul he likes to collect a few tokens of his kills and such afterwards. Hence why he has a sack full of claws and scalps to use in his rituals or for a light snack when everything is mundane.

9/10 – Good name, not a big fan of it personally, but it’s good nonetheless.

Rux Sparkarrow, a Iron Legion Ranger (and female).
“Rux”, oddly enough, was not entirely because of Rox. Rox actually made me get the idea to re-use a name I had used previously in other games (Ruxandra; I was going to use it for my Human, but I changed my mind since I couldn’t find a good surname for it) and wanted to use again (I didn’t think it would fit Sylvari or Norn, and I didn’t want another Asura or Human), but make it short to fit a Charr (Rox was the reason I made a Charr Ranger, since she made me see that Charr looked adorable with pets). Sparkarrow it simpler in origins than Rux – spark comes from being in the Iron Legion and arrow comes from her love of bows (I mainly use a shortbow).

8/10 for creativity.

Yowler. She’s a small, gray tabby thief with big green eyes, tiny fangs, and massive horns (A cute Charr if that’s possible). I’m too lazy to make a back story for her. Just know she makes horrible howling noises when it’s time to go for the throat.

Thank you! It’s actually named after my gray tabby Yowler who makes horrible howling noises when he can’t find me . He also likes to steal individually wrapped twinkies from the box, unwrap them, and leave them laying around the house for us to step in.

8/10-Love the last name, Raam just sounds a little to smooth and not intimidating enough.

9/10-Think it’s a very fitting name for an Ele.

10/10-Kind of embodies everything I would expect from a Big hairy beast sporting a rifle.

Mine is Kahn Warbringer, Bloodlegion Warrior. It just seemed like a fitting name for a WvW Char commander.

I really like Kahn as a Charr name. Feels very guttural, works quite well. I totally get Warbringer as a WvW/commander related name, but it almost feels more like a title at that point. Warbringer Kahn seems to flow every bit as well as Kahn Warbringer.

My Charrdian is named Siv Whitemane. She is a big, stocky Charr guardian, and “Whitemane” is both symbolic and literal for her. She is devoted to purity, sanctity, and protection of the weak. A bit of a tangent from the normal Charr mentality, but I figure her time with Dinky taught her that there are those less fortunate in the world who are worth defending.

Siv is a derivative of “Sif”, Thor’s wife and the goddess of earth, family, and fertility in Norse mythology.

“Siv Whitemane” – 7.5/10 too.

I like it, the idea that she has interacted with dinky etc However the symbolisation with fertility and so on, idk, but from the reasoning you have shown you seemed to make it work anyway.

My 2nd Char is “Grond Forgesight” an ironic name given to the fact that due to an explosion in his workshop he is effectively blind… (I hand alot of fun trying to make him look blind, with those 4 cut horns etc, a result of the explosion as well).

Due to this event, he is in the process of rebuilding his warband, his wealth and his pride. Travelling around Kryta and Ascalon, Grond attempts to create a workshop from the ground up, gathering materials, making money and working tirelessly at the leatherworking stations in the major cities. Although with the occasional summon from Rytlock, he puts his recuperation on hold to lead his warband.

Grond Forgesight

9/10. It’s a great charr name, with a lot of character, given the backstory. “Grond” uses the correct consonents for a male charr name – but I can’t help but feel like the name sounds a tad gross, so a minor points deduction.

Tsumedenko Rawrawr

He’s my only character (I’m a one-character kind of guy). Since the game doesn’t explain the naming conventions to new players, I initially named my charrdian “Tsumedenko” (“thunder claw” in Japanese) and Rawr (“I love you” and “I eat you” in dinosaur, according to my tshirt). When I explained charr naming conventions to my guild leader, he decided I was part of the “Raw” warband, which would give my charrdian this name. As an ash legion charrdian, my character is used to not being taken seriously until he appears in a ball of flame behind you with a giant sword. The name only adds to that. Silliness is the charr’s secret weapon.

Tsumedenko Rawrawr

I like the origin of Tsumedenko, and has a Charr-y feel to it. The “Rawr” does feel out of place in a “serious” name, but the explicit desire for the silliness factor works in its favour. I’m thinking a 6.5.

My Iron Legion Engineer is Korotar. I purposefully went for a single name character because I like to roleplay, and wanted to be sure that a given second name wouldn’t get in the way of a potential Warband guild.

I also have a Blood Legion Warrior named Terracarnus. This is a name I chose as a persistent online name. I have used it in many games, and I thought it would make a good name for a Charr. Phonetically the “terror” aspect, and the barking sound of the hard c appealled.

7,5 name translates to Slavic Wolf not something that belongs to a hulking feline predator altough its a lot more original than Kitten (kitten as in feline not a censored curse word) with claws or puss in boots that i came across yesterday
