Siara Snowbane – 9/10. Very nice. I can imagine white charr from the north, bringing the taste and smell of death.
My warrior again – Hildr Gravesender.
Hildr Gravesender – I like Hildr as a gril’s name, but it would fit a Norn much better, I guess. Since your Charr seems to be from the grave warband the name “gravesender” tries too hard to be intimidating. I’ll give it 5/10
Tyrus Soulsplinter – elementalist from the Soul Warband.
Tyrus is greek and is based on the city Tyros which means “sharp” or “stone”.
For his last name it’s important to know, that he has DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and the personality coming with the earth attunement is the most dominant one

In Italian Brio is a musical term mostly which can mean vivacity and such
I don’t really like the name Brio for a girl but that’s just personal preference I guess, I’ve seen the last name Shadowstrike a lot in-game as well but it is very suited for a thief either way.
I’ll give you a 8/10 for Brio Shadowstrike of the Strike Warband. I hope you enjoy playing her a lot.

Well, there’s my dreams shattered. Luckily I’ve never run into any Shadowstrike’s ingame.
Names Charrnivore, a cavalier warrior with high precision. Mess with me and I’ll tear you apart limb from limb.
I’ll give it a 8/10 for amusement and punniness. I could imagine some jumped-up young warrior who’s got a huge ego bragging about how they nicknamed him the “Charrnivore” for his battle prowess, as well, so I’ll give you a 6/10 for that. Not what I’d imagine would fit in well with a warband, but I do think it kinda works!
My next: (yes I’ll probably end up going through all my charr here) Skarlath Furysteel.
A warrior of the Steel warband, Skarlath tends to go into an almost berserker rage in combat, leading him to recklessly disregard his own health and wounds. He’s one hell of a fun guy at parties though.

Mine is Flint Grimmclaw, a Charr Engineer from the Iron Legion, he is here to blow enemies apart with explosions and turrets.

I like the name it looks to be lore-friendly to me and Flint as a first name seems like an Iron Legion name for sure. Grimmclaw, Grimm Warband I take is also not taken by NPCs which is a plus.

Raska Rageclaw, Rage Warband, Blood Legion. Warrior of Blood Legion, master of the Bladestorm fighting style, and talented enough marksman with a rifle. He is the claw of his warband the first to strike and draw blood. Like his friend Reeva he fights hard and plays hard, if ya know what I mean. ;P

As much as I prefer lore-appropriate names, my first warrior is Spaiten Malus, so I can’t be too much of a hypocrite. :P (Post-hoc and canonically, his full name is Spaiten Maluscrack, Malus warband, so named for him breaking his hammer over his former legionnaire’s domepiece, but I digress.)
Names
Charr first names often have names based off of their culture (e.g., Pyre, Ember, Forge). Along with this male names are also sharp sounding with the consonants (e.g., using D, R, T, G, K, etc. used in names like Rytlock, Gron, Dinky) whereas female names are smoother (e.g., using C, L, S, Z, etc. such as names like Bathea, Kalla, Elexus); both genders often start with a sharp consonant though, but this is just generally and exceptions to this do exist. Some charr use Roman or Greek (inspired) names as well.
Charr surnames consist of two words put together, one of which (either suffix or prefix) denoting the warband of the individual (e.g., Rytlock Brimstone is of the Stone warband and Scylla Rustcloud of the Rust warband). Charr individuals generally get to pick variations of their surnames within the forming of their first warband which express their personality, ideals or history, though some limitations may apply.
Members of the same warband can also have their warband name in different order than other members of their warband, though this is rare – some examples include Lightbringer Swordshatter and Legionnaire Bloodsword of the Sword warband, and Vitus Silverpick of the Pick warband (where all other warband members have Pick as the prefix of their surnames).
Charr names are fairly visceral overall, sometimes Roman-inspired. So, “Rancor” fits reasonably well for a Charr. One part of the surname is the warband name, so using the above as an example, either the Wyrm warband or Bane warband. (Position doesn’t matter too much, but is usually consistent between ‘bandmates.) From a lore/RP perspective, this is where you get to do some of your storytelling.
Would he be in the Wyrm warband because that’s a preferred target or they identify with some aspect of the creature? Is it the Bane warband because they are doom to whatever crosses them?
Wyrm ’bandmates: Wyrmbane, Wyrmkiller, Wyrmspite, Burywyrm, etc.
Bane ’bandmates: Wyrmbane, Dragonbane, Flamebane, Aetherbane, etc.

Thank you so much for the info, it seriously helped me hone in on what a befitting Charr name should be. After some research I found that there are no wyrms in gw2, only wurms and dragons. I don’t know if that would break immersion but I’ve shied away for the moment.
Also, even though Rancor sounds good on paper it’s not as strong in practice. As much as I like the name, it doesn’t come off as well in chat. “hi rancor, you want to join?” or “hey ran” for short :cringe:
Swami has been my go-to alias in RP games over the past few years, but I feel like it’s a little light/flimsy for a Charr. Since Guru is in the same vane and sounds much more Charr-like, I’ve decided to go with that as a first name.
I typed a bunch of names into a list which helped narrow it down a lot. The survivors are:
Guru Wyrmwarden
Guru Soulsage
I’m leaning towards “Soulsage” since my character is a Guardian, but I’m not sure.
Sorry for hijacking the thread but I didn’t really know where else to put this. I’m the kind of person that will spend hours on end picking out a good name. It’s been 2 full days and I basically won’t allow myself to enjoy the game (let alone grind to 80) until I have a name that I love. :[

Soulsage definitely had gravitas, and it stands out among Charr names. That gets a +1 from me.
^ Rofl where’s your Charr name ? But mines are Charr guardian named Quickzill (supposed to be Quickzillver but couldn’t) and Charr thief Bloodquill

I just bought another character slot and made another charr. What else?
So, my characters to level up after the Asuran Warrior will be a male Charr Engineer and female Charr Necromancer.
Gnash Steelshell of the Shell Warband, Iron Legion – Charr engineer specialized in rifle and grenade warfare.
Lyan Soulbringer of the Soul Warband, Ash Legion – I’m not really sure what she’ll be specializing yet, will build up her character in the near future.

Knichtus Brocthan – Don’t really picture a charr with this name so I’m not a big fan. 4/10. And I cringed a bit at the “norn girlfriend” part too.
Kumatora Nightfury – I do like this one, especially the first name. 6/10.
Rinnae Pathbolt – I think this is your best one so I’ll give it a 7 ;-)

I got a charr thief called Mereen Brightclaw, for her white fur with black spots as well as the bright flash of her steel – very likely to be the first and last thing you’ll see of her xD
