Sylvari – Thief – with a speed buff!.

One hour it took to be exact, buff wore off just as i got through the window. xD

Human Elementalist – Don’t believe it did anything to my speed inside but I already had Zephyr’s Speed
Asura Necromancer – No speed buffs
Sylvari Mesmer – No speed buffs
Charr Thief – No speed buffs
Norn Warrior – No speed buffs

After nearly 8 hours of terror finally beat it for the first time on a lvl 80 Human Engie

Ele 10% Air Attunement speed buff. I really enjoyed it!

Norn thief with no speed boosting. When I jumped into the clock face it went to the loading screen and I immediately thought “Oh, crap! Did I fall?”, then I heard the glass shattering and my character appeared next to a huge chest. I cheered and then breathed a sigh of relief that I would never have to do it again. Sort of reminded me of Dark Souls, in a horrible way.

80 Guardian, no speed boosts, no one with a banner, I was the only one who made it up there.

I actually made it to the top 6-7 times. The jumping part wasn’t even that hard for me, I was more confused by the ending gimmick, which I didn’t understand until someone explained it to me.

Charr Necromancer with no speed boost

Ive made it to the top of the clock tower 36 times now when i got for the last jump through the window i just bounch off the hole the lightning makes and fall. and have to restart im at the point i can make it to the top of the tower every single time but that last jump just doesnt wanna work for me.

Jump HARD to the right. When the lightning strikes the clock, and you see the hole, jump off the stairs, toward the clock, and HARD to the right.

I finished it!

On a side not everybody was complaining to me about my big charr blocking views, which I found slightly amusing how people were being so mean to my charr for just being there lol

using my asura necro on the other hand is hell. So many stupid people the kitten camera way.

Finished, Norn female (Shortest norn model) guardian – no speedboost.

Human female thief. With 25% signet, I was not going faster than anyone else unless I took sharper corners.

85% of the difficulty is in doing the early jumps, and I found them impossible with multiple Norn/Charr in group. The other 15% of the difficulty is overcome by learning, during those times you actually get past the early jumps. I also have an easier time with a human female that I do with any of my male characters at doing jumping puzzles.

Finished the puzzle after an hour or so of getting the timing down, I’m glad it was a challenge.

After many tries with idiot Char and Norn players who seemed to take delight in the fact their big bodies annoyed the other players, I finally did it on my Human Female Guardian.

No speed boosts used. The hairy part was the bit where you have to jump down. The rising liquid was almost on the platform before I jumped >.<

The most frustrating part of this is the other players. Totally agree with what other people have said and that it should really be optional if you want to be in a group or not.

lvl 80 max size guardian charr.. took like 4-5 hours…. Taking a hot bath really works.

but then there are so many people trying to put the blame on me when they fail … that i am blocking their view…

the funny thing is i made it again in like 2 trys after finishing the tower… once you beat it, it will be a hell lot easier for some reason :/

I tend to feel that doing it on a Charr is somewhat difficult. Since we move on all fours, it feels like we need to jump before we really should. Kinda messes you up.

Human Guardian, 3 times, no boost.

Human Mesmer, 6 times, no boosts. Managed to open the fake chest once before the platform got eaten.

Human Elementalist – Possible 25% passive from air attunement – not entirely sure if this was on though.

Oh my gosh… I finally did it and it took me about 11 hours to do it. I think I am going to have nightmares of this puzzle.

Finally beat it after switching over to my Asura! I tried many times on my Sylvari and always messed up the beam jumps, lol.

The only problems I had were the usual camera angles and the beginning cluster-intercourse of Charr, Norn and Golem butts in my view.

Took a couple hours total.

Human Thief, no speed buff since they locked the skills.

Done about 10 so far.

Sylvari female ranger, have the signet but it wasn’t active as far as I could tell

I actually did it 3 times on the Asura, running with guildies/friends to help them out. After awhile it becomes more like muscle memory than actually looking at my position, and there were a few jumps after the first pause that I had to do blind because of the crowd.

I think after a while, you can feel where your character is from the camera pivot too.
