Post here if you have BEAT the Tower!
52 Sylvari Necromancer. Took all day and multiple tries to get to the top but man was it worth it! =]
Human
Mesmer
No speed boost
Took me awhile, but I finally got it =D. I’ll agree with what people are saying about it being really hard, but don’t change it, I got a really good feeling inside when I won.
1. Human Mesmer, 0% Speed boost. Took about two hours.
2. Sylvari Elementalist. 10% (?) Speed boost. Took a while (0.5-1 hr) somehow even though I just did it on the mesmer. Speed boost messed with my muscle memory.
norn warrior, no boosts of any kind
I kept forgetting norn jumps look like they will be shorter than they are due to heavily playing my human mesmer recently, so I had some terrible timing on some of the more sensitive spots for a while.
I wonder how silly asura will feel by comparison.
Human Mesmer – took about an hour to smash into that clock.
But I did it!! Quite the challenge whew!
WOHOO
After 8 hours of to much kittening and moaning on forums and game chat, cursing at norns and Chars nonstop every single time i tried, i finally DID it.
kitten i dont know how i feel right now when i got inside my heart was racing like crazy T.T.
Smallest size female asura, no buffs whatsoever.
well…i feel great now !!! what a freaking achievement.
if i can do it anyone can, im not a jump puzle pro, but after so many hours kicking at that crap i sorta started to do thinghs by instintc and bam done !
Asuran Ranger
10% passive speed boost
twice!
3hr on asura engi
then 10 on my human mesmer
no speed boost what so ever.
Completed it twice on my Sylvari Mesmer. The first completion and achievement took me a solid 4 hours. Got seriously hung up on the leap of faith for a long while. And I’ll never forget that heartbreaking run where I got all the way to the top and seriously screwed up my timing for jump into the clocktower! Such bliss and a sense of accomplishment when I finally made it to the top!
Did a second run (which took me another hour) to not only see if I could do it again, but also because I completely forgot to grab a screenie during my first completion.
Oh, and spotted one of the ArenaNet staff during my second attempt at the puzzle…
EDIT: Okay, I’m totally addicted and can’t stop doing this puzzle. Get better every time and and making it to the top more and more. I’ve lost count of how many time I’ve made it to the top now.

I lost count. However, I got about 200+ ToT bags from farming the puzzle.
Human Mesmer, no speed boosts.
Dunno how many times i’ve beaten it, but i’ve been farming the tower for ToT bags and i have 3 stacks
Took me 3 hours to remember the whole route and get it to my muscle memory but after that it was a cake and did it on all my characters.
Charr engi no boosts
Sylvari guardian no boosts
human mesmer no boosts
Asura Necromancer
No Boosts
Finished 4 times.
(Btw we need more puzzles like this)
Human
Ranger
No boosts
Best jump puzzle in the game.
Human/Thief
Complete after one hour.
Human Guardian, no speed boost.
Did it successfully twice out of maybe, 20 attempts. Did it a 2nd time while at the same tower with guild members/wanting to see what you got from opening the chest a second time.
Charr
Guardian
No speed whatevers
3-4 hours.
Loved it, only issue was the camera getting stuck on objects.
Seeing other players was kind of a hassle, but I like seeing them all die one by one, only to have you and one other person left. Great motivation, got the blood pumping.
I beat it in about 40 minutes, Human Mesmer. No speed boosts. Very fun.
I also got to see an ArenaNet employee there!
I’m a Charr warrior and I don’t use swiftness.
Had a ton of fun, took me 3 hours, was frustrating at times, but man, somethign challenging in an MMO! Awesome.

Char Mesmer
100+ times – 1000 trick or treat bags
I really enjoyed the clocktower activity; Its one of those accomplishments that are obtained by skill rather than throwing money at it. So I had a lot of fun, even if it took some time to learn it.
Legendaries – buy gold
Seasonal weapon skins – buy gold
Clocktower – skill and perseverance
Human
Ranger
And it felt like a very hollow victory.
Keirlann Aurion – Ranger – Chieftain of the Ace Guard [AceG]
Beat it. Human, Male, Ranger. No speed. Only a few tries.
Still needs to be fixed though. It’s way to easy for me to pop on a warrior and banner people to death, or bring Hounds of Balthazaar to obscure platforms and teach the norn a lesson.
Horrible design, failure #3 in the history of A-net, I’d call it.
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.
- William Shakespear
Charr ranger, finally got into that darn window after 2 hours.
I did strip down beforehand to make myself “smaller”, if that helps a little for all you charr/norn hating people.
It was very fun though, once you get the gist of it, and I reckon it’s great that it was challenging and not your usual jumping puzzle.
I did it on all 8 of my characters. While at first I hated it hardcore… it grew on me. I am still not a fan of timed events but you can tell alot of work went into it and that should be appreciated.
Human
Necromancer
(No speed boosts)
Completed it normally, and while riding a frickin’ broom! A BROOM!

Sylvari
Ranger
No Speed Boosts
-Took a while and a couple of tries, and I tried it pretty late at night/early morning so there was only about six others attempting it with me. Less body blocking.
Charr
Necro
No speed buffs
Norn (maxed all height width settings)
Guardian
no speed buffs
All i took was loads and loads of abuse because i had a Norn (funnily felt like i was back in WOW)
Took 5hrs 30 min
I’ve beat it on my small model sylvari and small model human females. I recorded one with the sylvari. I kind of want to record each class just to show it can be done by any class.
Also post class, race and if you have passive speed boosts.
Three times complete.
Human
Thief
25% passive speed
L2p 25% passive speed bonus dont work on CW jump puzzle
Fredy Brimstone lvl 80 Mighty Warrior
Oupí lvl 80 Immortal Guardian
I beat it on my human warrior without speed boosts and it took me about 2 hours. Although looking back I can’t believe it took me so long because once you get the hang of it it’s really quite easy.
Gandara

Sylvari
Necro
No boosts
I’m not that great at stuff like this, so it took me about 40 minutes.
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)
Norn guardian 80
2 hours for first success
Its easy , if you didnt mistake in beginning
Norn
Mesmer
0 boosts
Amazing hour of gradual progress until I finally got in a final hurdle! Loved it!
I made it in about 1h with my norn without any boost or stuff. I even got insulted because I wasn’t using an asura…
Anyway a nice JP indeed.
Sylvari / thief
No speed boosts, no QQ
less than 1h first success. Learn where to jump and do it again : p
(edited by Hughs.6549)
I did with a Charr warrior, no boosts
Gahhhh, why didn’t I take a screenshot?
Beat on my asuran elementalist, “One With Air” trait. Took about 40 min total.
Yes, I’ve beaten it.
It’s still broken and needs to be fixed through.
Smallest size Sylvari
Warrior
no speed boosts
Just beat it after 3 hours of trying at 4 in the morning. Funny part is I did it again right after for kitten and giggles and I freaking beat it again!
Sylvari warrior and human engineer. Beaten 5 times. Can do more, but no point.
Asura
No buffs, just ran and jumped.
I’ve beaten it 32 times today. Will do more tomorrow. Why? Because it is fun, and watching the misery of others is delightful. And I plan to drown the world in candy corn.
Guardian
