Post here if you have BEAT the Tower!
Charr
War
none
6th try
Asuran Guardian
Over 200 ToT bags were acquired thanks to this wonderful jumping puzzle.
Spent about 2 hours or so just trying to help others complete it. Gave me a sense of happiness to help others figure out how to do it.
Tower beater reporting in!
Human Thief, took me 4 hours as this was the first time.
Human Necromancer, took me less than an hour since I already knew all the steps by heart
Aurora Glade server
Asura Elementalist
Took me 11 hours to nail it.
Norn Ranger, no buffs.
Kept getting stuck after jumping down to the gear, would remain flat and not be able to jump very high or so it seemed. Finally it just clicked.
Dragonbrand – Level 80 – Human Ranger
Human Elementalist 25% boost (the stupid tower kept making me slide off the broken clock face 6 times though before I finally got it on the 7th try)
Charr Engineer no boost
Sylvari Ranger no boost
Human Thief no boost
Human
Guardian
no speed boost
3 hour try
Human
Warrior
No Speed Boost
Hated it, but loved it at the same time. Reminded me of how computer games used to be, where winning was an achievement rather than an inevitability. Kudos to ANet for being brave enough to put something like this in. I hope they don’t nerf it, but if they do at least we’ll all know we did it on hard mode.
Human Warrior…
Had a speed boost, but not sure if it really “helped”, it wasn’t super difficult to begin with. Just didn’t think about switching off of the trait.
Also, not really sure what’s up with the charr/norn complaining. I just used the fact I knew where my character was centered in the screen as a point of reference and it was just fine.
Charr necro, no boost. Total time maybe an hour. Number of tries, unknown.
Norn Warrior with no speedboost, did it in less than 20 tries, under an hour.
Thought it was hard, shocked to see the outrage about it. First of all, it’s not THAT hard. Secondly, the achievement for it doesn’t have an impact on obtaining the title. I thought the outrage at the BLCs was warranted, but now people are just crying for no reason. Anet wanted to put something challenging in this kindergarden game and you’re gonna wet yourself because you can’t do it? Awww, no 10 points for you.
Human
Ranger
No speed boosts
3-4 hours
I would say this puzzle is a 5/10 in itself, 6/10 because of the goo and 10/10 due to the other players with larger characters distracting you. It is a fun puzzle but people won’t see that unless it is instanced.
Finally beat it, and then beat it again about 10-20 tries later. Human Elementalist with 10% speed boost trait (did feel a little cheaty with most folks running slower than me, but with how hard it is I feel no remorse)

Asura Guardian
No speed buff
Asuran elementalist, no speed boosts.
Took maybe half an hour to get it down, been farming it for loot bags and fun ever since. Alternating between that and rampaging around the labyrinth has made for an awesome time.
Human
Warrior
Human female
Mesmer
No speed boost
Took me prolly between 12-13 hours with breaks to do this lol (but hey, at least I didn’t give up, right?) xD
Silvari Mesmer
Norn Ranger
Charr Guardian
Took maybe 2 – 2 1/2 hrs. Silvari was first, than Charr in about 6 or 7 tries, then Norn in a try or 2.
0 Speed boost
Asura
No speed boosts
I’m so happy, I finally got to the end. Human Elementalist, took me about 8 hours over the course of two days. Now I can do my midterms without any distractions.
/finger muscles twitch, wipes away a tear
Took me and a guildy a few hours to finally get it done, but it was a genius idea and I hope to see a lot more of them. Great challenge and you really do get that sense of achievement when you jump through the clock
I’ve done it with 3 different asuran characters. Engineer, Elementalist, and Warrior. Took me probably 20 or 30 dry runs before I found a decent path… hardest was developing a feel for getting through the first part with the camera issues and larger characters.. but it is perfectly possible.
Human Mesmer, 3hr+. Did watch the youtube video that teaches how to complete it multiple times before trying though.
I am bad at jumping puzzles, but surprisingly, found this one to be quite enjoyable.
Charr
Engineer
none
Norn Thief.
Did it on the 3rd time and happened to get bugged few times at the top before that as well.

Beat it again and again just to get the exotic shoes on my other characters. All 8 of them. No boosts. Includes 1 asura, 1 charr, 2 norn and 4 humans.
I did it and all i got where some slippers!

What did you expected … LEGENDARY ?
(that turn out to be a good joke i’ve created lately lol)

Charr Warrior, no speed boosts.
Human Mesmer, no speed boosts.
Asura Necromancer, no speed boosts.
Did it multiple times on my Charr, it was the most difficult on my charr at first as it was the first character I tried it with. Despite that, I would say Asura have the hardest time because they are basically invisible before the main zerg fails at the first few jumps. I managed to do it in 1 single attempt on my Mesmer (I was kinda proud and surprised). It took me several hours on my Charr while having a headache, then I came back the next morning and got it in 10 minutes. My Asura took me about 10 attempts before I got all the way up.
It took me 2 hrs til my first complete (on a human) and afterwords 2-5 tries on 2 asura and 1 norn for each (and yes i had norns and chars in bulk in every group and no speeds on any of them).
Charr
Thief
no boost
took me about 2~3hours, i used to be very bad at puzzles but i learned a great lot trying to finish this one so thx anet for the rage, and the awsome feeling of breaking through.
Asura Engineer, 80
No boosts
Trick is to jump on the wheel right after the shake, avoid instances with big people, and stay first. After a couple of jumps you will usually have only 1-2 people around until the end.
Asura Ele, if all my traits were working while in the tower then I must’ve had at least +50% speed boost. People were msging me asking why my char was so fast, lol.
Loved the puzzle.
Charr Warrior. No boosts. Took nearly three hours. It was a relief to finally complete it, but I found it oddly addictive (just one more try!), and the conversations that were going on among the players at the base of the clocktower were some of the best and funniest interactions I’ve had in the game.

Human female
Ele
10% speed boost
Took 3 hours – it was frustrating, it was difficult, it was amazing when I completed it.
Thank you designers for making this challenging!
I have BEAT this stupid puzzle so many times it isn’t funny. At least 60 times so far and I am sure it will be over 100 after today. It isn’t that difficult. If you can’t see because of a Norn or Charr then use your camera to judge distance(zoom it out all the way).
I use a Sylvari Ranger with no Booster.
Stonehenge Grr – [Heap]
Sylvari
Elementalist
No Boost
It took me about 4 hours
Human Ranger, no passive speed buffs… Finished it fairly quickly, not many retries.
Human Ranger, 80, 10% speed boost
Took about 3-4 hours, but was a lot of fun!
Guardian
Human
80
No speed buffs
Human Warrior, no speed boosts.
It was lots of fun, even though I spent quite a few hours on it.
Human Warrior, no speed boosts.
70 80 min for it
Finally beat it after about 2 hours.
Asura
Necro
No speed boosts
Dogs love me cuz I’m crazy sniffable.
Human Engineer
Asura Elementalist
I know my human didn’t have a speed boost and I’m pretty sure my asura didn’t have one enabled either. A difficult but fun puzzle!
– Mike Obrien, President of Anet
beated it yesterday on me elementalist, using speed boost. Took me about one and a half hour. And now I got a reward I can’t use because i’m not lvl 80 yet :p
Human – Ranger – None
Asura – Warrior – None
Took me about an hour the first time on my human was hard to get used to it. Either that was related to being still up at 3AM when trying to first time or not i don’t know.
Asura it took about 10 tries to get it done. Hardest bit was getting used to the jump timing with such small legs it gives me the feeling its quicker but it aint!
Human
Asura
Charr
Norn
Was pain but once you get it first time it gets way easier. After Finishing with Human, got it done with Asura next run and only redid the other 2 maybe 5 retries.
Human
Mesmer
No Speed Boost
I found out afterwards that I can’t use a black lion salvage kit to remove the rune of the mad king from the boots for some reason… sad face.
