asura warrior several times

norn guardian – once for slippers

Human Elementalist, air magic passive speed boost.

Spent hours on it with my Asura, finally gave up because I either couldn’t see him or the camera would flip out.

Switched to my human, only to have it bug out three times in a row and send me straight to the water. Gave up for the day.

Came back today and tried it again with new major traits for the speed boost, got a group composed of mostly normal-sized models, finally made it! Adrenaline? Yes. Fun? Meh. Back to killing candy corn elementals and glow in the dark spiders!

Charr Mesmer no boost!

Kept getting to the stairs and bumping my head and falling. But I finally made it and got my booties. Oh sweet sweet victory.

been farming tot bags with my asura neco (lv 3) lost count maybe completed 100+ already.

Sylvari Nec. No speed boosts (they actually screw with my timing so I prefer not to have them).

Took me 4 hours to make it the first time. Now I’m almost at the point where I can farm it.

Beaten it twice

I really felt like a boss when I beat the Clocktower… so challenging! Fast-paced… adrenaline rush. Oh and by the way Human thief

I beat the stinking clock tower. It’s true that after you do it once, you can do it over and over from then on, but still if you make just one mistake, it’s over. And just because I finished it repeatedly doesn’t mean I appreciate it. I hated it then, and I hate it now. But I have OCD and so I had no choice but to finish it on all of my characters. I curse the memory of it, and its conception.

Tried it on my Norn for ~7-8 hrs total Friday and Saturday, didn’t get it – gave up completely. Then I watched some videos past couple of days and decided to try again and got it on 5th attempt today.

I dunno if they changed the difficulty or whether it was me being dumb the first 7-8 hours or maybe I just needed a few days break from it to give it a fresh start.

Thief, signet speed. Mesmer, no speed buffs. Took me about 40minutes to do it for the first time. Did it in 2 tries as a Mesmer. Both are human.

The puzzle is not “hard”. Just follow the most succesfull players movements.

A couple of notes. I felt like there is actually plenty of time. Also, even though I beat it as an Asura, I was only every really successful when I did well enough on the first part to get ahead of the group. I didn’t watch any videos of it (well, just one, but I wasn’t really paying attention), but I did manage to get into the main shard last night, which was mostly empty, and about half the people there were afk anyway. That really helped me map out how to do the first section without my screen being overcrowded much. It also helped when I zoomed in my camera a bit, I don’t know why it helped, but it did (maybe because the camera seizures weren’t as severe when it didn’t have to go in as far).

Still Haven’t done it on my Charr and Asura but here’s the ones I did it on-

Norn Mesmer-no boosts

It’s actually quite fun once you get the hang of it.

Thieves don’t have a 25% passive speed boost. They have a 25% speed signet. And all utilities are disabled so you don’t have a speed boost. Very attentive I see.

I have completed it on three different toons.

so far just my Asura guardian. No boosts, wearing her brightest coloured armour i could make in that orange-y environment

Finally got it after 2 days of trying and learning. I only have one active character, a human warrior.

I had fun learning it.

After my Sylvari I also did
Asura: was easy after my sylvari’s first time.
Norn: camera spazzed out a couple of times.
Charr : Just had to figure out where paws land and where you jump.

Still an amazing puzzle!

Completed in about 35 minutes, Mesmer, no speed boost.

My record was 12 times in a row to complete it, Sylvari Mesmer, no speed boosts.

Norn- Necro

Beat it on my warrior, thief, and ele. At first I kept getting my kitten kicked, but it’s actually pretty easy once you get used to it.

Finally beat it last night with my human necro. No speed boosts or anything. I had to try it so many times though that it got to the point to where I was doing the first part mostly by knowing where to point the camera and jump by holding “w” the whole time and timing it to the music more than looking for any platforms that were constantly being hidden by the other models. When I completed it, there were 3 giant norns and 2 charr, so you never could really see anything.

Without any boosts/bonuses:
Human Thief: 4 times
Norn Warrior: 2 times

It was extremely frustrating on the first day but now I can make it to the top in 2-3 attempts.

Wasn’t too bad once 4 of the Charr in my group had fallen off.

After finally beating it after too many hours over the weekend on my sylvari, I came back to it tonight on my low level Asura warrior with a fro. Got it again after about an hour. Many large bookahs were present.

WOOT finally and only took 12+ hours haha last jump scared me cause it looked like I didn’t make it and the loading screen came up and I thought I was going back to beginning. Man what a relief to finally get this cheeseburger.
