8/10, Tenderlin sounds a tad awkward but Arrius is a good fantasy name, and I like Vivienne quite a bit and while not unique, I can appreciate naming a character after a GW1 descendant.

My Krytan Elementalist is Jonen Caledore. He’s of common birth but in puberty found a spark of magical talent. His abilities became stronger when he bought a battered old book from a traveling merchant, which contained the writings of an Ascalonian elementalist on the nature of elemental magic (which was written by my GW1 elementalist Calen; I wanted a link between the two without it being blood as Calen had no children).

7:10 For Jonen Caledore. The name is original and isn’t hard to pronounce; I also give you points for a backstory. What keeps me from rating the name higher is your last name. Caledore sounds like a corruption on Calen to me, which would make a non-blood relation to your GW’s 1 character an awkward coincidence for those who know both.
Good work nonethless; I don’t view this like school work where anything less than 8:10 is bad.

My main is: Cassandra Kaiser. She is the great-granddaughter of my GW’s 1 main, Wulf Kaiser. They are of Kurzik descent and the Kaiser lineage under Wulf stayed in Kryta after the events of the War in Kryta, when Wulf’s bride to be died at the hands of the White Mantle and due to poor battle planning of one Keiran Thackeray.
To tie it off; Cassandra is a warrior just like her forebear, and has an intense dislike for the Thackeray family, blaming them for the death of Captain Langmar (warranted or not).

7/10 – Kaiser, Germanic name, fits well with the Kurzicks.

Not bad, 6/10 and 7/10 respectively.

They sound like characters in a fantasy novel, which I like, but the 1st names aren’t too memorable.

My character’s an Engineer named Mettlehouse. I just thought it sounded cool, the word “mettle” applies nicely, it rhymes with “metal,” and in my little plotline it’s the surname he regularly goes by.

Sounds like a Magic the Gathering naming style.

My female guardians name is Arcueide Titania.

Originally, Arcueide comes from Arcueid from the anime Tsukihime (moon princess) by Type Moon. However, google translator detected that the name is closest to French. Thus, to make it sound more feminine, I added an ‘e’ to the end of it. Titania is a common name for fairy queens and is also the name of the largest moon of Uranus.

My thief’s name is Caesar Solo.

Caesar, because it’s an emperor name and suits well with his skills
Solo, because he’s a street rat, so he only can rely on himself and, ofc in reference to Han Solo the kitten

Male Necromancer: Doom Gaze

7/10 Sounds like a dark monsters name that drops a named exotic wand that has an eyeball sticking out at the end of it.

I forgot to list my other chars name so here they are:

My female mesmer name is Phira.
Phi is the divine proportion or the golden ratio, 5^.5*.5+.5=1.618
Ra is comes from the Eye of Ra.

My female warriors name is Phiaerith.
Phi of course being the same meaning
Aerith is a name I heard from Final Fantasy. The character has one of the most pretty name I’ve heard: Aerith Gainsborough. So I just combined those 2 and got Phiaerith

My female necromancer is Phiaera.
I just couldn’t think of anything cool so I kept with the Phi pattern and managed to get Phiaera

A character name I wanted was Nia Fleur but the name was actually taken. I then thought of Arcueid Fleur but it bothered me that from a french perspective, Fleur Arcueid sounded more natural. My Ranger is named Shawn Hawke… Lives in the wild, supposed to be a “lone hunter,” if you will.

8/10… like the ranger feeling it has to it cause of the hawke…goes well with the shawn and sounds good…. my eles name is Irrationalist… Well because magic is pretty irrational lol

7/10 Pretty good, one word noun or adjective is easy to remember for practical purposes as a name. Kind of like the actor America Ferrera from the T.V. series Ugly Betty. People will remember her real name.

Originally I wanted to pick Mister Sexy, but the “S” word is not allowed so I figured if you say Zexy with a deep french accent, it sounds the same.

7/10 Suits a necro quite well, but its not actually a name then again that’s just traditionalist me :P

Tobran Earnwood

Well, since it sounds nice and fits the lore quite well, I don’t see why I wouldn’t rate it 10. I especially like the first name, Tobran.

My ranger’s name is Carmila Vlades. She’s a pirate.

9/10. I think it sounds really nice, especially for a pirate, but not quiet exactly my thing.

My Elementalist is named Rymr Ahlstrom. I had intended for her to be more “in touch” with the air attunement, so I looked at some Norse mythology (I know, more intended for Norn, but I just love it), and found that "Rymr"is a reference to Thor that means “Noise”. I thought it would work. Then I wanted something to have a nice flow with it and helped show more elements, so Ahlstrom, which is basically, according to websites, “alder river”, so I thought that would take care of water and earth, by the fact that trees grow in the ground, and I guess fire since if lightning struck a tree, it would catch on fire.

9/10 i like it, rolls of the tongue nicely and has a meaning.

Matthew Shadowblade, a charming street rat thief, who prefers dark armors and blades. Likes to move in the shadows whilst fighting, and running away… occasionally ^^

Was expecting your character to be a necro with that kind of name lol. Still neat sounding though!

My Guardian’s name is Sharsis, a high born noble with a silver tongue (all charisma dialogue choices baby!) and quick reflexes (ala Guardian blink skills)

My pitbull’s name = Kyra
and my siser’s name = Rosebelle

I’ve mixed a bit the story with real life… my pitbull never seen anymore her sisters and brothers since i brought her home (she was still a baby!)

The character itself looks like my sister, blonde, straightened hair…

i’ve chosen charm, because my sister is really nice but at the same time really brave… when it comes to fight, my sister and my pitbull, both become agressive when it comes about protecting the family!

Well, this is so confusing… lol.. but those are the reasons why i’ve chosen Kyra Rosebelle.. i just love them =)

My name is Sir Robindole, and I’m a warrior.

My name came from another game called Archlord. There was a legendary armor set that I’d acquired called “Robindole”, and I myself was named Robin, so I liked it. Since then, it’s stuck to me in my future games.

My support elementalist is called Sanctus Auxilior which is latin and means holy helper or healer.

9/10 I like it, unique as I haven’t heard it before.

I had used the name Amari for years in EQ/DAoC/WoW but it’s become too common now so I mixed it up a little.

First name comes from my real name. Since our guild always uses TeamSpeak, I like people to call my name when referring to me. Last name comes from the character’s profession and a bit of her <adoptive> noble background.

“Councillor Huron” sounds kinda fun and serious at the same time. Although I can’t imagine a ranger as a Councillor :P
