It’s a joke. SBI has no chance. This is one of the dumbest things I’ve seen ANet do with game. Actually, I think it is the dumbest. The random seed was just too big and made some outrageous results.

SBI, just endure this week! Your rating will change drastically and you will move to the general area that you belong in. That’s what this first week is going to be like for a lot of people.

Hey now. Being originally from SBI, I have never fought my old server. This is an exciting experience for me to see how much you guys have grown since I left back in December.

It’s going to be really hard to please everyone. People want NEW matches, but they don’t want to face people immediately in their tier EG people they have recently played. That means it’s either going to be people higher or lower than you. If you make the range of variety too small (so as to get a more “fair” matchup) then we get stale matchups because that’s how it’s been done up until now. If we they add more variety you are more likely to get a disparity and “unfair” matchups.

What did people expect when they were told there would be more variety? More variety means pulling from a bigger pool, and a bigger pool means a greater range in the “skill” of the servers, which inevitably means you’re going to face drastically harder or easier servers some times.

Just relax and enjoy WvW, and keep in mind that this first week will help in establishing the new selection system.

I for one choose the fresh experience than the same kitten every week, even if it means sometimes it’s easier, and sometimes it’s harder.

Could EA and BP please stop AC creeping at EK on Mag? Good 60 people in your zerg to our 30 and you’ve siege creeped on the bridge at least 4 times now.

Will this cause SBI to gain even more ratings and even chance to match up against even higher tiers? Then these points will feed the T1/T2 before they drop back.

So the points transferred from T3 to T1?

Its interesting to see how the “server scramble” affects the glicko ratings now.

You really expect a server that was abandoned by a bunch of fairweathers like you to have grown? That’s an odd perspective.

I have never seen so many Legend ranked players on the opposing server before. And they are all terrible.

DB probably has the numbers potential to win, right? But that doesn’t mean it’s a done deal. Nor does it mean that the other servers should give up. Have some fun! It’s a game, after all. Show some fighting spirit!

Our rating will go up this week and yours will go down. We’ll have an even better chance of getting a matchup like this next week than we had this week. This system is just dumb.

I’m a pragmatist by nature. DB is going to win, most likely. But look at povV’s post. How many people are just going to do something else and not put up a fight? That’s fairweather to the extreme. What if it was Mag/CD/Ebay? Mag would win, right? But I’m sure the Mag folks would like it if CD and Ebay at least tried.

The alternative is to go back to static/stable/stale tiers. It’s really hard for me to believe that anyone who is intellectually honest would prefer that.

It’s intellectually dishonest to say that it’s an either/or situation. The system implemented this week was a hamfisted attempt to do what players wanted. People should express outrage in hopes that it gets adjusted or changed entirely.
