Yeh this really is too much. Poor Mr Glicko having his system abused and mutilated in a way he never intended.

Anet need to sort this out. T2 hasn’t had a decent matchup in over a month.

Its not fun fighting against a gigantic server week in and week out. We tried for a couple weeks. Now guilds are transferring off and this server is going to get rolled for weeks on end.

Anet created a garbage system and arent smart enough to fix it.

Time to work on map completion this week I guess..

The idea is fine. Having no limiters and not having the score reflect the purpose of taking points off higher ranks servers is the problem. And that all falls with Anet.

If TC started this week with 0 points, Maguuma 100k, SoS 200k (i.e. handicapping the servers based on their expected performance) then maybe some people might care to play a bit more. But its still a horribly uneven matchup.

At this point the system seems worse than WULD…..

Yea facerolls aren’t fun, but I prefer a stomping by DB rather than TC. At least DB will fight in the open field even when they don’t have the numbers advantage. Trackstar Coast ? Not so much.

I am actually glad I am on vacation for the next two weeks now.

4 out of 5 weeks we are matchup with TC and now we got guilds maybe looking to leave due to these horrible matchups every week.

We haven’t had one decent matchup since these dumb random matches began.

The devs want people to try other games. My guild leader started playing BF3 last week. Maybe I should try it.

Is the system trying to raise TC’s rating enough to fight BG/JQ JQ/SOR BG/SOR?? I don’t really know I don’t understand it…need the match geeks to tells us. I’m just guessing at this point.

The only thing this catastrophic failure of a system is achieving is forcing even more people onto a smaller and smaller group of servers (wvw people that is).

I’ve been on my server since release day and even I am thinking of moving to another server or quitting altogether =(

I’m sorry but I am at a complete loss to understand such incredible incompetence.

Well more transfers = more gem sales for ANet.

That’s clearly all they care about right now, it’s obvious.

Wtf is with these matchups? Core members of my guild (we’re WvW focused!) have been so bored that we’ve been playing BF3 or PvEing.

I’d rather get zerged down than to do the zerging for an entire week so I probably won’t be in WvW much AGAIN this week other than roaming groups or fight club.

There’s a ton of threads and discontent all over the WvW forums. If they were going to do anything they would’ve done it by now. It’s been 5 weeks and nothing has been done. Their inaction speaks louder than words, they do not give a kitten.

your right there r some threads but have u read them ??? noone really explains why the random match ups suck or how they r killing lower pop servers cause they r facing t2 servers

AND 50% of the ppl in thos threads r saying how much they r loving thes matchups most of thes ppl r from the winning servers

That’s silly. When would FA (or DB for that matter) ever get a chance to win, unless a higher ranked server lost some huge guilds?

This times 10. My little guild is thinking of leaving too. It’s just bad. The sad thing is that I think this is what anet wanted. More pay to move. Cause you can’t be this bad at something in this day and age of mmos. This match making is horrendous.

You didn’t read everything then. They said they wont change it for months. And Honestly all the people complaining should just quit. I am able to have fun in WvW and so can you. Only reason its not fun is because we push to much (TC). If we communicated more let each sever buff up for a cupple hours then fight for stuff it would be alot more fun. Let each sever own there BL for a few hours no snipling yacks and what not so there is supply. Talk tell people which BL to be on to fight. If a sever is lacking people fight them in one spot, Say TCBL. TC has alot of people to defend so there will be fights for our stuff. After awhile when attacks stop we can agree to meet on another map were TC is now an attacker and another team defends. (will this happen not perfectly but someone could try to many pugs sorta speak )

Just because what is out now is not fun (because we ALWAYS have people on a map) does not mean you should just bla bla about it on the forums, do something to improve it, use what you are given. And if you flame this post or idea just go to another sever. TC is tier 1.5 in the old system. Kinda out of place not as good as teir 1 and better than tier 2. Complaining on the forums is what got us into this in the first place!!!

only real solution to this is Free transfers to lower WVW pop severs from the top 4 severs. Need to even out the severs so there is fun. Anet cant controll people playing in WvW. IF we take everything or break the enemies spirit its our own dang fault. Blame the bigger guilds their goal is to break the fighters spirit so in the end we have no one to fight.

If you take Anet out of the equation to fix thing only thing is left is the players. To many people moved to higher fighting severs for more WvW to the point only 2 other sever could given them a good fight.

Another possible solution. NPC fighters. Make champion or vets roamers that randomly spawn on a map that is totally controlled that take keeps and keeps them wood so ninja attempts work. Have 10-20 attack every keep and tower at once to fend off the attacks(each with 2 golems)

Another solution. Quit. The more people who quite will even out the pop in WvW.

I am not an Anet fan boy i am just realistic.

And all this depends on YOUR SERVER. Not ours! Nothing we can do here and it’s obvious you aren’t doing what you’re preaching here. You had a waypointed keep most of the week on SoSBL for most of the weeks we’ve played each other.

I’m feeling too many people are equating wining to fun. Even when TC was getting stomped on, some of us made our own fun, it’s all down to what you are there for and what you want to achieve. It’s definitely demoralizing to some to see a low PPT for your own server and I’ve witnessed many a time where a considerable chunk of the populace has just simply given up for the week while others keep driving away.

T_T The t1 servers keep getting each other to themselves. Anet, let TC in on the fun; let us face two of them. Two weeks in a row of total blowouts. This will probably be another one. These weeks just aren’t fun since we have too much coverage for this matchup. So we’re often stuck doing pve objectives for wxp since there’s nothing else to do.

I’d rather get stomped than be the one doing the stomping. :/

In other news, SOS, Mag, are either of you lagging horribly on SOSBL? I can barely get a skill off, and when I do, it’s like I have perma old quickness.

That was the furthest thing from realism you could have possibly said.

The ONLY solution to this mess is in TC’s hands, and that’s transferring off of TC. You’re single-handedly making this a problem for hundreds, if not thousands of players by perpetuating this “Tier 1.5” nonsense.

Here’s the truth. There can’t be 4 “super servers”. Even if TC miraculously got the transfers to compete with Tier 1, one server will always be bumped into Tier 2 to ruin the game for hundreds of others.

Who has the immediate power to fix this? TC.
