Just to be clear, GOAT left a server that is not only continually winning, but growing by the week. We didn’t move because we finally wanted to win, we moved because we wanted to contribute. We wanted a server that values skill over numbers and the needs of the server over the egos of a few. We aren’t huge—we rolled 23 at reset—but we are enthusiastic and felt that Maguuma fit our play style and could absorb our small guild into their server without any issues. We’re keeping a low profile while we figure out our place in the established order. To bash Maguuma because GOAT transferred is just silly. We’re still trying to learn the jargon.

Tiers mean nothing anymore. There will be no meteoric bandwagon rise, like Kaineng’s, in the future. Crying ‘bandwagon’ just makes you sound quaint. Expect a lot of volatility over the next week as guilds find their fit. People will shift to where they are having the most fun. Leaving a winning server because the way they won just wasn’t fun made sense to us.

No offense, but the only way you can be considered a “non-bandwagon transfer” is if you transfer to a lower ranked server. BP is ranked 13 while Mag is ranked 7. By going to Mag you guys increased your personal chances of winning, all other things being equal. Hence by definition you guys are, indeed, bandwagoning.

And if you look back, this conversation started when some dude from Maguuma have the nerve to accused me of bandwagoning. Yeah sure, as if Maguuma never got any bandwagoners. If you look at Maguuma’s history, you will know they also got a ton of transfers back then, just before the end of free transfers. Magumma is full of bandwagoners too.

If people want to call people like me a bandwagoner, they have to accept the fact that they themselves is playing alongside many other bandwagoners in their own server. Or they can man-up and force their bandwagoners to transfer out of their server, and pay for their transfer. There is no way around it.

If you guys want respect here, please do not post on forums like the rest of Maguuma. They love to use double standards and never show any respect for anyone. Maguuma is the #1 most hated server (on the forums) for good reasons.

I think we all need to read up on what bandwagoning actually means. By the way, you’re calling yourself a bandwagoner by your own (bad) definition, so I don’t see why you could possibly get mad at someone else calling you one. Double standards, indeed!

With all the zerggin TC does, I was not impressed by their defense/offense about 12 hrs ago on TCBL and MagBL. Sadly they know when to hit and hold keeps for points vs a predominately NA server, but in a straight fight, no talent. I do recall one point where they had to have a zerg triple our size bottle neck us on the bridge at SS camp just to kill us.

Is it strange that when I watched the video I spent the whole time looking at the mini map, the green dots were so mesmerising. It reminded me of when I programmed boids as a coding exercise. Would of been even better if there was red dots like in gw1. Also, not a fan of watching game play that has been sped up.

Thanks for the fun on eb today tc from sos. Over 600 kills in that session while commanding. I felt sorry for the 3 mag who were sitting on the cliff watching us fight while we traded ownership of their stuff. One mag even tried to run into their tower when we were taking it when it was blue. Was a god laugh on teamspeak. He just couldn’t get in.

Your zerg on sos bl at the time was massive, but was god awful and they were mostly one guild. We were very surprised as you don’t get that very often on tc. I even missed CERN.

CERN is the highlight of these matches with TC. One of the few guilds that can wipe us as often as we get you. Very respectful on the forums as well.

Yeah, this is the biggest problem I have with WvW right now. The queues are getting long.

I’ve had some great duels with TC/SoS at the southern area of BL’s while solo roaming, good stuff

Good fights in EB too! Although I must say, I’m honored SoS wanted to chase me down and kill me, but laughing is really rude especially since you guys never gave up and I got cornered. And custom emotes don’t work cross server, we see gestures btw.

Our original 5 (or so) fights against the single Mag group went pretty clearly in our favor, but once the VR + “otherguildthatkeepsgettingcensored” groups separated out and worked together, that tactic is just very hard to counter with one group. We did get two decent wins just south south of Bay before it looked like VR logged off, but we had an organized 2nd group at that point to counter yours. Took us a while to hunt down some people who could hop on MagBL and coordinate a second group though.

Seemed like all fights resulted in at least some of both sides surviving so there weren’t really any good, satisfying clean wipes the whole night that I saw. Still got several more days to do this though! Having a lot of fun in the field, win or lose.

FWIW, Mag’s open field skill is noticeably better than what we’ve seen lately from others (including T1 servers, but don’t tell them I said that). Left my head spinning more than a few times last night and on reset night. <3

Edit: Apparently it censors the name of your guild…no idea why.

Definitely give VR credit, you guys are slippery. Watching those videos helps me learn to maneuver against that meta. I’m so used to brawling from T2/T1 servers, it’s strange to fight this ranged game play. You guys definitely know how to kite around.
