BT had most if not all of their active members transferred prior to the server cap increase. There were frequent albeit short drops to very high during the previous weeks that they were able to capitalize on. VK did not transfer as an organized guild to BG as far as I know. In fact, from what I heard, most of their members are in Agg now on DB (edit – 10 players according to the post below). However, XF did indeed complete their transfers from Kaineng when the cap was raised.

Also, yeah Smokee and Orc are back, which is awesome, but don’t expect see the HB of old. I’m guessing they will be playing more casually than they did in the good ole days. Still, I’m sure everyone knows how powerful simply having excellent and experienced commanders on a map can be. We’ll see how things turn out. Hopefully they will be able to bring some fun encounters for IRON, and have some fun themselves.

Anyhoo, assuming the RNG doesn’t throw us more silliness at reset, next week should be exciting. SoR is still the server to beat though. The one-two punch of IRON and a very strong EST NA presence is very tough to overcome.

Most if not all of BT and VK (I think really only a few VK joined BG since most of them merged with AGG instead) already transferred to BG weeks ago during the brief times when BG dropped to very high.

No offense but I don’t think you have the information to make the claim that HB is back in full force. As far as we know Smokee and Orc are only going to come back from time to time casually and we have no idea about other HB members that stopped playing.

It’s not like SoR and BG never met. Besides this week, it was only SoR vs BG vs JQ for quite a while now. SoR won head on for the past 5 weeks in a row, BG needs to beat that to earn the number 1 N/A server. I’m sure that BG is looking forward to meet SoR again especially after this week morale boost.

Why would Oceanics abandon the Official Oceanic server? Unless you are theorizing about what affect a server with 90% of the Oceanic players in the game would have on a matchup; I find that a little offensive.

Our matchup is much more unbalanced and BG is doing better against stronger odds than SoR so I think the claim is valid. BG numbers seem to be even higher than SoR and shouldn’t have any problems winning in a direct confrontation.

Actually it is worth looking at. To the outside world, JQ looked a lot closer to you; until this week.

It’s interesting because it shows that SoR’s strong points are the same as yours, while JQ’s strong points are at SoR’s weak points.

While we had plenty of “he said, she said” on the matter; we see how much IRON affected your advantage in T1 and how good FOO must be compared to DB’s SEA groups, and they help them get stuff back from SoR.

It’s actually an interesting dynamic because each T1 server has at least one time zone where they lack, but still are endangered by T2 servers with coverage in those zones.

From the JQ perspective, BG seems to have a zerg on all 4 maps almost 24/7 this matchup.

I don’t know whether they got new transfers in or whether it is because the matchup is different and more people are out from BG. But if nothing else, this matchup has shown that BG has the population across all time zones to compete, and the huge gaps that JQ has that we have to work on to fill.

I honestly, see no difference between BG and SoR atm. Both are zergy and both seem to beat their chests about it.

There are no more tiers with the new system so nobody gets any tiers medals and the ratings have to do with matchups and statistics, nothing to do with the battlefields.

You must not put in any long nights. FA actually has MORE Oceanic WvW focused guilds than SoS. I was rather shocked by their Oceanic coverage, though I remember they absorbed a lot of IoJ’s Oceanic coverage which was far from a slouch.
We certainly have more WvW coverage overall, but most of that is either a few dedicated small ops groups or TS’s massive Midnight Zerg (well, massive for us LOL).

I actually like TC and FA, on the whole. TC went from being the “RP” server that everyone laughed at to being one of the most solid servers around; balanced in all aspects of the game. You’ve always impressed me with the Zombie Coast attitude.

FA, I played there during Beta, and always have had a good opinion of them. They don’t forum warrior much, and they seem to go about their business well. More than any other server faced recently, I was amazed how efficient they use their WvW crews. FA was more annoying last week for us because they always had a scout at every gate and one following every large group.

There’s one good thing about these new randomized matchups.

Unless you are claiming that tsym now runs spies inside SoS,which i wouldnt put it past some people.

TSym aren’t really the sort to go in for spies. More likely to kick someone who’s even on SoS without a darn good reason, let alone encourage them to spy. The only time I ever even heard anything close was just them wondering what the reaction was in the opposing TS after wiping certain groups. One of the classier guilds in WvW.

Threads are MUCH more civil.

Threads with SoS tend to be civil.

But yeah, part of it is probably just the new opposition. Outside of hacking, no-one generally knows players from the other worlds enough to really start getting personal/troll. It’s why the only real drama you see is when you get worlds from different matches on the thread.
