To be fair they are running guild only, which is 100x more than anyone could say about any BG guilds quite frankly.

That was actually one of the things that annoyed me about IRON I could never find their commanders.

on a sidenote I feel like JQ is really upset they got pushed into T2 and so they are trying to overcompensate to get back in T1…but shouldnt it be the last T2 server to come to T1 for rotation next week meaning JQ won’t be back from another 13 days?

Not upset! Just have too many numbers compared to FA and DB. It’s essentially the same problem TC faced for weeks. JQ and TC are relatively close in numbers (Tho they have more NA, and we have more SEA) so the T1 and T2 matches for both of us will end up pretty much the same unless we’re paired together. I’ll exit stage left from this thread now. Have fun, guys!

I did have a lot of fun! I had to call for help, the 20 TC on the map weren’t going to cut it. Good thing I got a speedy response and we both could have that fight!

And I’m sure you would’ve been there for at least some of it, [NOC] where on map since late NA/early Oceanic (outnumbered for 2-3 hours) getting that Bay and SW tower upgraded, so we could push out when the rest of our Aussies got home from work.

The intent of you post seems honest so I think it deserves an honest response.

The fact is, this game is available to be purchased and played by just about anyone in the world, and because of this, Anet cannot lock out content to the prime play times of one specific region. When a player in North America is usually sleeping, a player in Australia just got home from work, ate dinner, and is ready for some WvW. Not to mention there are people who may work a grave shift, and play during work/school hours for many.

I don’t mean the content is being locked out, it means everything remains the same. Players can do whatever they want, cap everything, siege everything all to high kitten. Fight small groups, zergs, get loot bags, karma, gold, etc.. The only difference, that ticker on the top of the screen reads “0”. That’s the only change.

I would presume, or at least I’d hope those who are in T1 (and who transferred here) are here for the fights, not the PPT. If they’re here for the PPT, they are probably in the wrong Tier. Many other tiers that can be transferred to, to rack up the PPT if they so choose. From what I understand, the general consensus was those who are here, are here for the fights because there are lots of them. If this is the case, then most should not be against shutting down the tick during off hours.

The idea has been kicked around 2-3 weeks ago and did have overwhelming support. Perhaps in the past it didn’t, but now (from what I’ve seen), it does.

Personally, I could care less either way. I don’t measure success or fun by how fast our zerg can run back to a base to defend it, or how our numbers overwhelm the opposition or vice versa during off hours. I measure it by even numbers attack and defending while I’m in the fray lol.

I want to hear more about the ‘battle hardened’ BlackGate SEA crew who apparently haven’t trained their NA comrades. Those doors might appear more intimidating during the NA time slot.

I’m curious about que times though for SoR and BG (if any of you can answer), how long do you guys wait on average to get in during NA prime time? On TC, I think the max (not counting reset night), time i’ve had to wait was 20-30 min for EB, and about 15-20 for any of the borderlands. Usually I don’t have a que for the borderlands, and EB on average is about 5 min.

You overestimate our queues our NA is same as yours, just height of prime might have full queues, but not for long. (BG perspective, occasional NA player)

Oc/SEA players go to Tier 1 because there is no action in other tiers, spend all night PvDooring or be the only guild across 4 maps, even in T1 often during Oceanic this still occurs (being only guild for 3/4maps).

SoR queues are really no different outside of reset night.

I zoned into WvW at about 5:30 pm server time tonight to buy some gear and there was no queue on either enemy BL. By 6pm KnT was getting rolling on BG BL which was queued but it sounded short. I play late NA (9pm server start) and rarely have queue issues.

Also, maybe it’s when I play, but I don’t run into skill lag all that often. Yes it comes here and there, but from my experience it’s not nearly as bad as some of you seem to make it out to be. I mean, if things were terrible, I’d be bummed and maybe consider transferring from the server I’ve been on since day 1 and quite fond of, but it’s not terrible, and the regular action and great fights wins out over some skill lag here and there.

Sea players had no place to go when the game launched but EU players did but you just want to lock out sea for some reason.Also in Na people work around the clock on different shifts so why should their playtime be less valuable than others.

There really isnt nothing anet can do with how screwed up wvw is right now so i wish they would just put in 20v20 battlegrounds already and i would never step foot in wvw again.

I would like to see more open field fights by IRON without overwhelming numbers. Was disappointing to see their 30+ man zerg from from BG’s 30+ (yes BG had 35 for a good long while same as IRON) many times. Not until they had 50+ and arrow carts did they even try to engage and that was 5 feet from their wall at Bay. Other SoR guilds do it and many BG guilds do it.

Sack up when you aren’t 80 vs 40.

For the record, training ended last week by reset Saturday morning for all of SOR including NA, OCN, SEA & EU. What BG & TC SEA is seeing during SEA prime time GMT+8 (8pm-12am) are the absolute numbers of NYS, SAHP, SONG, SATY plus various guilds & militia. They can fill roughly 1.5-1.9maps as stated in earlier matchup posts. We are pretty much fighting against odds but we will always give our best.
