Thanks BG and SoR for the T1-type of experience this week. I’ve seen some things I’d yet to see in WvW. For example, this is almost the most people I’ve ever seen in one place on a map. I say almost because this was after ~35 of us were wiped:

A gentleman’s game outside of the wvw meta. GVG

Jahn is right, at least about EU for the most part. There are still blobs/zerging there, but here’s one example of map activity (below) that gives an indication that there are literally fights everywhere.

Ppt-based or fight-based, both styles are legitimate ways to play WvW, and NA seems to moving towards more open field fights, which may ultimately satisfy both sides of the coin. But in EU the fights tend to be one guild going after another guild, whereas on NA, the fights tend to be server rivalry vs server.

(Bonus pix is the peanut gallery you see often watching organized GvGs, these are regular numbers that come out, and GvGs tend to happen daily, if possible).

I was informed by guildies who read my post that TW was in it also. I will edit that part out again. I do not apologize, however, because it is a game and should not be taken THAT seriously.

Warmachine did good. Won most of the fights and only lost a few. Our Presence guild will improve over time. ^.^ I’m grateful for fighting us, even if I only watched in the sidelines.

Hello Azure,

War Machine won 4-2 or 5-2 against AWE of TC. Was great to see Jang Gun back in the game with WM’s 1st GvG after a long time. If I am not wrong, WM did not GvG when they transferred to BG. And like all guilds they won and lost their fair share of fights, giving them a label might not be fair.

Thank you Bincus for letting me know about the GvG, was really fun to see some good fights again.

No was originally near the GvG on SORBL, but was interrupted. Moved out of the way behind the windmill on BGBL, same deal. I’m not much good, it appears, when I get 5-8 adds, lol Was an epic fight though, easily 10 minutes long before that happened, and some took the time to watch, tons of fun. Guess we’ll try again later.

The GvG was also over, participants had already bowed to each other and we just decided to suicide into the BG blob with outmanned buff on to close out the night. Didn’t go according to plan though since most of the BG there died =(

Pretty much this, the fact that you think you were outnumbered shows how delusional people are when counting enemy numbers. You spent so long killing an outmanned group of TC you almost lost hills, should probably be thankful I don’t command properly anymore.

They didn’t, bg and sor was fighting. We rallied to defend our tower just in case.
