Laughing at the GOTL Guild from Dragon Brand. They’ll only fight if they out number you and then laugh on you. Gotta love those 5 v 1’s – they show a lot of skill.
Gonna go ahead and say this GOTL guild is a PvE guild. My buddies and I (3 of us) have fought 8 of them at the same time and have beaten them on various occasions.
Same thing goes for the NITE guild. We 2v7 TWICE in the ruins and we win both times. I’ll go ahead and say they were PvE players because there’s no way in hell we would be able to take on those numbers otherwise.
I forget which one of the above guilds has a tanky hammer warrior commander who basically hops around the fight as if he’s taunting you, only to die right after all his guildies die. Weird.
Either way….fun fights.
haha I can’t attest to GOTL, but I can tell you for NITE they were probably uplevels or just messing around lol. We have just been mucking around for fun lately since hte match is pretty much decided, but had a lot of fun fights earlier against para, gh and I think i saw ZoD running around. We got beat up by some large CD groups like CLAY and KoME earlier this week too, was fun. If you see us running around right now we are just practicing and roaming, i’ll have to find who the hammer warrior was tho hahahaha! oh well

I’m honestly curiously, though. What’s the point of “group synergy” builds if 7 of them can’t kill 2 people? Would they be able to kill a larger group of my guildies then? That wouldn’t make sense.
This isn’t even us 2 versus 7 people slowly trickling in. This is 2 of us walking up to 7 people from the get go and straight up demolishing them and it happened twice.
Only people I remember from the group was a norn male thief in all black who I think liked to spam death blossom, norn female mesmer, male guardian running hammer and staff. The first two I remember because they were large and the male guardian because he was tanky and we just saved him for last.

Right, the point he was trying to say and the one I was making was that our guys run specific comp’s when running with 15-20+ people. Guardians traited more support, warriors more CC. I also run Hammer/Staff with different traits for my guardian for group runs, that I would never run roaming for exactly what was stated above…i’d get my kitten kicked in by a good roamer because hammer/staff sucks for anything outside of blast finishing, stacking empower and using line’s of warding and symbol of swiftness.
When I roam its more power/precision based and I use greatsword/sword+focus along with different utilities… much better suited for roaming… that’s all I was saying

I like how there are obvious spies not only in our TS, but in our chat as well. No less than three times have I hid inside a tower or keep as a mesmer, and was completely fine doing so until I announced in one of the above said mediums. One location I sat in there for nearly an hour perfectly fine until we were ready to reclaim it. Then when I mentioned it, a bunch of people show up and kill me less than a minute later. Again, once is coincidence, twice is suspicious, three times is confirmation of former suspicions.
Easily rectified however. From this point forward I’ll be addressing the present Commander through PM when hidden. Three free bags for the enemy is enough. Lesson learned.

I know whats legit, I do throw ACs near gate sometimes to clear sieges inside ^^ and I even counter asked our commanders cause I doubted my feelings/eyes and they commented its hack as well..
Trust me, it was a zoom hack. Saw the circle in the middle of lords room + around the corridor area infront of both supply depot (right) and the left side nearer to north entrance. My eyes went O.O… Think there wasnt even ACs build at North Entrance but they were shooting in.. =X not to mention some circles was infront of the gate at the our side.. (maybe visual graphic)
Even my AC got hit a few times but apparently it stops? maybe HE/SHE doesnt want it to be too obvious to everyone.. but ya.. I’m really disappointed in gamers using hack.. it spoils the game.. nothing against your server, just that fellow (same goes our people in CD, those hax…).

Lol, they really need to change the game mechanics to force a double team on lead server when the point difference becomes too great, but thats another topic.
There’s always talk of double teaming every matchup. These players like to ignore that EBay focused the hell out of DB for the first half of the matchup. There was a general mentality of “BP did it, so we’ll do it too”.
But that’s fine. Keep up the QQs about double teaming. I don’t remember any time during the week that CD had 0 PPT this week like we did, during which time CD had our whole borderland and none of theirs. Sounds a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

It’s ridiculous for people to assume that DB and Ebay were double teaming us at the end. We lost because CD’rs would rather karma train at EB and CDBL after DB oceanic/sea zerg went to sleep, than defend and escort camps/dolyaks to upgrade WP’s like Ehmry did. CDBL only got 3 wp’s on its map once this week and thats because several players pulled 10hr shifts and that was when we closed the gap Wednesday night I believe. Our stuff was also paper most of the matchup and we have much less defenders, so of course DB would want to go for the weaker target at times, we do it as well.

Bolded the truth. It’s as simple as that.
DB haven’t discriminated either way. I commanded for 10 hours for EBay last night, and I saw DB wipe our BL and then CD’s, just steamrolling everything in their path, bouncing from map to map. They were running two zergs much of the night that I saw, one mainly TFV, the other mixed tags. Sometimes we were dodging one or both of these zergs, sometimes it was CD’s zerg of KoME + mixed tags, sometimes we were dodging everybody.
In any case, I can assure that there’s no way in hell I – and many others who were with me last night – would have stayed up if the match wasn’t as close as this. As a server EBay is known for losing momentum during the week, so what we seem to be achieving right now is as unusual for us as it is special.
The score at the end of the week just tell you who had the most people on at night. The score for the first few hours after reset tells you who has the best strategy. It’s pretty much the only time of the week when everyone is on equal footing.

Good fights this week CD and EB, we may have more overnight coverage but as someone who plays during NA Prime to early Oceanic I have to say, y’all are tough!

p.s To the [EA] on CD – we were looking for you guys all week in the open field – I so wanted to see an [EA] vs [EA] clash of gold and red. I’m sure we both purposefully picked off eachother’s members when we saw them Maybe next time . . .
Even if CD is finishing with third place, I have to say I’m still proud of CD. One instance DB had flipped several of our territory in EB, and were likely headed to our keep. The zerg I was in ran out to meet them. I swear there was a split second where DB just stopped and stared in confusion to see a zerg probably half their size, running straight at them. We kept on running – by pushing them off of Aldon, chasing them into Rogue, trapping a few in Wildcreek, past the front gates of our keep, into Klovan, and out into the swamp until not a trace of them was left. Best zerg chase ever.
It was sheer epicness. Everyone knowing exactly what to do, when to do it, with instinctual harmonious coordination.
I say CD should be very proud of ourselves that we held the scores close to Ebay. Not sure about Ebay, but since the last time we fought them, we have lost 2 important NA guilds. So to have our scores be that close is an achievement itself.
DB’s Oceanic/Sea coverage is still right up there with the best despite their meltdown. Their loss to BP is probably due to BP having a more rounded coverage as opposed to DB’s strong, but time limited strength

Not really. We had Oceanic/Sea, they had EU but when the new content came out the majority of both IoJ and DB players went to Kessex Hills while BP’s players were more dedicated to getting the WvW win that week. I logged in on that Tuesday to see IoJ ticking 10 pts, us 5 pts and BP 680 and by that evening BP had a WP in our EBG keep and camped the spawn. A day like that followed by more days with lots of players in Kessex instead of WvW basically ends a match.
