I dont think we can. Honestly, we just dont have the off-time coverage. By the time we got home from work today, ate dinner and finally got to log on you guys were qued or pretty close to it with and had waypoints in our BL. As you have seen we have only a skeleton crew running around at those hours.

Fights are great when we are on and can, but as I said many times before, coverage gap kills us, we’re as high as we can get until Arena Net does something about this, which may be never.

It would be nice to get some WvW dedicated people and/or a guild transferred, but on the other hand we dont want any server hoppers. We would rather stay “as is” then end up like Kaineng or AR or some of the others that fell victim to transfers. 80% to 90% of our playerbase at our prime time is SF “native”, a lot of people are coming out from PvE and are now playing WvW on casual or regular basis and joining our community, but no matter how hard we try, we have to sleep, have to eat, have to work, etc. so coverage gap kills us.

Meh we went into our fight with HoD with realistic expectations. Still couldn’t see us losing to DH unless most of us stopped playing by the time that match comes around.

Personally I believe IoJ is in an area where we would stomp NSP and SF, but of HoD keeps it up we’d be on par with them. If not have slightly more coverage. However CD coverage is superior to ours and they beat us.

Most of us here play to fight in silver now, screw the ppt.

This has been fairly typical every week of league play. When leagues are over and we resume regular play, we should continue to have very competitive matches when IoJ and NSP get reintroduced. DH is in a sweet spot for competitiveness. I love it.

I’m with this guy. Bronze league has been one of my best experiences in GW2 so far, I really feel invested in seeing my server do good. I want 2nd.

When you guys came alive in the middle of our last match you looked good. Its been said that DH has more folks then HoD, I dont know. But if thats true then I dont see why you guys cant beat SF. SF wont like me for saying this but I think DH has more skill per player than SF, and I do believe DH is the better server when you are bringing your A-game.

But DH needs to improve their zerg control (because SF seems to get better every match) and after 2 weeks with HoD they are going to be better than in week 1 at zerg control (which is not the same as player skill where DH still has the edge). You need to motivate your troops to come out and fight a hard match for a chance to claim second. DH needs to be as consistent kitten which I didnt see in our match. DH needs to come up with a plan to deal with SF’s massive peak-time zergs and you have to want to win bad enough to fight them toe to toe on the weekend where their zergs are the largest in bronze. If you wanna win week 7 you need to start prepping now.

Best of luck in the possible fight for second. Closing the league on a week 7 nailbiter between SF and DH would be very cool. GL as well as to the servers in the solid contest for 3rd, and the possible fight for not-last. (GoM you gonna try for 2nd in our match? we aint gonna help decide 2nd and 3rd, so its up to you).

Last time I checked (12/11/2013), IOJ has 150 more rating pt than HOD.
while HOD has only 190 more than rank 25 AR.

Also note: HOD is LOSING rating while IOJ and NSP is gaining. so we will be seeing a >200 pt gap after the league.

To NSP: You know that rating system is working great when you gain rating while losing all the battle.

rating system is working fine, leagues just put a line and rating points cant move between the leagues.

Once NSP plays any bronze league server they will bleed all those points away.

DH will also need to focus more on Denying SF points, than just go around and capping stuff. That mean ET is going to be the wild card of their matchup…

While I pretty much would rather hit SF (Which mean EB will problably be fighting over SF side), I don’t think everyone will just sit around and “help DH to win” (as it mean we’ll be 3rd again). Many people still think we could have beaten DH on that week and I’m sure they will be up for more…

Also if DH constantly hit ETBL, you’re likely to hit a nerve of some of our borderland commanders and they will send their massive golem rushes on your keeps.

But again… I’m just a pug commander on ET, I do not have control over what will be happening with the main force.

Further, consider what happened in the GoM Vs. FC Vs. Dh match of epicness. We were behind both servers by 10k, then suddenly, out of no where, we pretty much took over the match. Since then, our coverage has improved quite a bit and so has our defense, and we’re just as lethal on the offense as we always were.

I agree, let’s not jump to any conclusions. Dh is still the underdog in the match against SF, but I think you’d be quite silly to rule Dh out. We’re gunning for you, but that doesn’t mean we’re better than you/will beat you. We may not even stand a chance against you, time will tell, but we’re just trying to think things through. And take not. HoD is a server that literally just came off of fighting us and is currently fighting you, so they have a pretty good idea of each server’s capabilities, whereas your data is from week 1.

This is very true, and note that we only beat ET but a couple thousand points… I think servers tend to have their own strengths and weaknesses and those play off of each other. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t general rules such as server X is stronger than Y, just that it’s a little less predictable.

I’m not ruling anyone out, but unless you have got some transfers and we lose more people to people getting tired of leagues, how has anything changed? I’m sure if your coverage and tactics has gotten better then we will indeed have a closer match, but I’m seeing some puzzling stamens from you and others in this thread.

We matched HoD at prime time and had the lead several times over the weekend which is more than your server can say, so what is the point in bringing HoD into this?
