Truth to be told, i love AR, i was tracking AR matchup thread in tier 6 when u were beating DH and loj easily, None if your commanders/guild members was acting like those terrible ehmry trash talkers and forum warriors, which is why i respect AR so much

Fighting in open field is fun and all but at the end of the day those towers and keeps are what gives you points using the guards for an advantage is something every server does including Ehmry there been many of times ive beaten guys and they know they cant do the same to me so they try to lure me to guards to get an advantage especially thieves they will use any advantage they can get (Not like they need 1 8k backstabs constant blinds stealth BAH!!)

Define OP? I play Mes/Warrior/Guard/Ranger and I’ve never had problems killing other professions on any of them. You could argue thief or mesmer is “OP”, however when if I kill you on a ranger, is ranger OP now?

Hello, I have left GW2 for Hello Kitty Online because of the nightmares I’ve had about the state of WVW. In my nightmare, ANET buffed range of arrow carts again to balance against unnecessary warrior buffs that weren’t needed except for spvp.
Consequently, because of old habits, my new guild in HKO are getting called bots because we ballup tight while we speed clear Tuna Island with my 50 man skill group.

Ummmm, well……we did flip BPs whole BL last night with PK playing the largest part so I’m not sure if there was an alliance (bad way to start a partnership) Maybe more like really bad timing for AR. But I wasn’t there so we will see if im wrong.

I agree that killing is part of the game, that is why I called your guild very smart. No one likes being steamrolled to death. I thought the word “smart” is a positive word. Let your server’s zerg get devoured while you do your own thing. It is a smart strategy, a Logan Thackeray strategy. Avoid fights you can’t win that is Sun Tzu’s level of smart. Even guilds in losing servers has to do whatever they can to survive instead of thriving. This is a compliment.

I don’t see why you call us world completion killers, please elaborate. And to be honest we were on Ar bl for the most part last night so as regards to being in bp for when you dismantled us I have no comment because we weren’t there.
Good times running a WAR 5 man in BP. Wish [BURN] fought us in that GvG that was supposed to happen, would have been fun. Another time, I suppose. Geez Noice. You snagged that quote of mine from waaay back… I was so excited back then with the new match-up. Back when I thought Borliss genuinely had a shot in supplanting us for T4. In saying that, I’m not necessarily meaning to insult you, Borliss. It’s just the realization now hits me hard that it eventually must be us that goes back there, one way or another. The bigger question in my mind is, are we ready when it does happen? I think Kalkz did us no small favor in showing us that we needed to reorganize and revamp the way we did things, and we have done so accordingly. The changes I’ve seen in us are not by any means small ones. So why then does, “are we ready?” still echo in my mind?

Shout out to that ebay mesmer and warrior pair in our borderlands last night. I was the double dagger necromancer sylvari that was standing right outside your spawn. Was awesome to have a 1v1 fight, while it lasted anyhow. Pugs ruined the fun in the end :P

I recently changed to a Flamethrower build on my Engi; and it seems to be effective to me (seems to tag a lot of people for drops at least…).
Opinions from the other side?

Rest of set generally dyed based on whatever color we are this week
(haven’t tried to run into an enemy portal since I started doing that….)

I can’t remember fighting you but I think it would be easier for those who have fought you to say good or bad if they knew the context in which you wanted to be judged.

I didn’t really plan for much with the build, I never really got to fully thinking it out.
I want to pick out some better matched gear/runes for it; but I’m not sure which directions to tweak it yet.
I am interested in hearing how good/bad it is for zergin, small group, delaying/contesting, pushing choke points, fashion contests, etc.
I was trying to compare to my previous build, but it generally does completely different things than that build (grenades).

Thanks for that. Yesterday was…..challenging, especially in our BL. We had one of you (I think it was BP….was a long day) attacking Garrison while another attacked Bay. We have a hard time mustering enough players on BL to defend ONE keep let alone two.
The Bay fight was just insane. We did a huge “300” (with about 15) in the Lord’s room 3 times as their zerg smashed through ours, downed the Lord, but couldn’t clear the room (and at Bay, there ain’t much room to do the fightin’). Very fun. I hope someone got a recording of it. My compy is so pathetic I drop to about 1fps in large battles like that, so trying to record would just freeze my system. <sigh>

Yeah, you don’t see a lot of quit from AR. Stubborn server with stubborn players. Even vs. the transfer monster that was Kaineng, there was AR with 15 balistas holding the N supply camp in our BL, because they were NOT taking everything. AR doesn’t play for a place, these folks like to fight. Would we prefer an even match up, sure sometimes, but then again, where is the fun in that?

Im sure you may have tried let me guess that stupid ranger regen build?? i play the same classes as you…. are you sure we are not the same person?
i could argue they are certainly from someone playing warrior as a main, they are at the bottom of the pile… easily killed in any form.
Define op…. look at DD ele, or Confusion bomb MES… or perma stealth thief… then compare those to say warrior and engi, you can see the gap between the classes is HUGE in terms of damage and sustain. Yeah a warrior can hit X amount of 100b but he is stationary and you have to CC the target… AXE the F1 is awesome but the other skills are a bit MEH… Hammer… SLOW good CC good dmg 0 sustain in almost any build compared to necro ele mes thief even ranger now.
My point is 90% of EBAY use these OP classes 9/10 times fighting any ebay they are either MES, ELE, Thief…. AR they love there rangers lol and BP from my view is a huge mix unless you find guild groups.
