Great job for EB too, they been making this match quite fun so far!

EBay didn’t give up during the week against Kaineng btw. If you check through our forum history (I know a lot of you do… there really isn’t anything wrong with doing so), you’ll see that all our threads during that time were on “training sessions”. Basically, all the WvW guilds decided to focus on open field combat and tactics instead of playing the defensive inside of towers and keeps accomplishing nothing outside of a slightly adjusted PPT tick.

Kind of like what Jinx said, that week was almost universally taken as a time to work on fighting in the field while Kaineng breezed its way through the tier. Some groups enjoyed that play style so much that they stuck with it…

Making excuses again are we? As GL of BURN you make your guild look like a bunch of crybabies man.

No one gives enough credit to the people who hold things down outside of raids. Zerging around as a guild is the smallest part of WvW, and it’s the guys who are working as individuals defending and calling for help during the other 20 hours of the day that really make the difference.

You don’t have to be the greatest skill group in the game to be MVP. The most useful people (at least in my opinion) are those who aren’t being named every other post on the forums. They are the guys who call for help when help is needed. Sure, it’s great to have our guilds who will respond to the call, but if no one breaks the silence, then all the people in the game can’t help out while they are in the wrong place.

That’s the biggest difference between our servers. EBay has more of these dedicated individuals willing to do the dirty work of scouting and defending than either BP or AR does. No amount of trash talking and saying how much the other servers in this match up suck with or without (insert names here) will change that. Big guild raids make the push, but the little guys are the ones holding things down at the end of the day.

You all should be putting more value in the tags you see defending at all hours. The ability to stomp bodies constantly isn’t the only thing that proves a player’s worth.

It’s all the small jobs that aren’t necessarily rewarded with a flow of WXP that win the day. Our server has an all star cast on that front and they are the ones that allow us to put guilds like REKZ to their best use.

Shout out to BP for this mornings defense of the SE tower in our home BL. You held us off for several waves with the wall down. That was good work.

I guess if I were in your shoes I’d be kitten to be stuck in this tier week after week. Maybe that’s why I see so many EBay come here and keyboard rage. Dunno. You have a T4 WvW population and you’re stuck in T5. Week after week. Your midnight warriors? I mean, why bother? It’s got to be zero “fun” to roll up to undefended towers and keeps, flip them, and then just sit around for hours because no one shows up. Week after week. Same thing. We fight until our population goes to sleep, then wake up the next day and retake our stuff. Meanwhile, Ebay enjoys a huge points lead and…….what? I mean, do WHAT? Sit and take screens of “we ownz all!!!!”? You guys must be totally sick of this matchup. If you aren’t….well, that says a lot.

For our part, we’ll keep playing the game, and have a ton of fun doing it. After all, destroying forces that have superior numbers is a LOT more satisfying than rolling a 40+ man zerg through undefended territory.

For your sake, I do hope Anet rethinks their strategy (I assume they have one) and reworks matchups according to WvW population and not just total server population. I think you’d get a lot more out of WvW if you were pitted against forces of equal (or greater) size. I know we do. :-)

Pitted against forces of equal and greater size? Been there. Done that in T4. We know know all about that.

Midnight Warriors? Lol for the longest time our Oceanic/Late night presence was pretty low and it wasn’t until recently that we started our Ehmry Late Night crew guild. BP Kalkz and their late night crew was the biggest reason for quite a bit of time why we weren’t winning with even bigger points spread We never had a significant night force since HIRE and RP were here and even then they still struggled and didn’t stay with us very long.

We might have a T4 NA population and definitely held our own during T4 NA. But it’s all about coverage in higher tiers and we’ve always needed more oceanic/late night coverage.

Please do your homework before you write another pointless post. You’re preaching to the choir here :]

Ps. Or it could be that your Jimmies are rustled and that’s why you care so much about our ranking?

God i hate trebbing i never sat on a treb for more than 10 mins
actually feel sorry for all those trebbers who sit on trebs for hours, especially those ebay trebbers in eternal, once upon a time there was a kalkz in eternal around 1pm server time i saw an FTF guy sitting on a treb trebbing our fortified DG tower, i went off for 4 hours, came back to see a BP zerg Running supply to repair DG, i asked whats going on and a guy said “they have been trebbing DG for a good couple hours and I’ve been fixing the wall alone most of the time by running supply from camp”
I went to counter treb the treb and i SAW THE SAME FTF GUY. HE HAS BEEN TREBBING DG FOR 4 kittenING HOURS

I really didnt know how to react. what is he going to do if we took out his lovely treb, is he going to build a new one and keep trebbin for another 4 hours ? To make this guy rest in peace i gave up on the tower, i respected his efforts, however. I took the tower back and full upgraded it in 1 hour. Lol

that’s possibly someone with more than 1 computer, and they’re just sitting there trebbing while running their main character manually. i’ve read that some even have macros to do their trebbing (not alleging that this person is doing that).

Very good job by both AR and BP today. Excellent coordination between the two of you kept us pinned for most of the day and we only recovered at night somewhat due to our superior night numbers.

EBG was absolutely decimated by your well timed assaults on seperate towers again and again and once both servers even both broke through their own respective water gates and assaulted our keep together. Within spitting distance of each other and yet working together instead of fighting each other.

Rather than look down on you for this I commend the teamwork between the two servers and the discipline it took to coordinate and not kill each other. Also it’s only fair considering the numerical advantage Ebay enjoys in this tier.

Furthermore I’ll especially commend AR for the complete lockdown you guys had on your home borderlands. Excellent response times all around and the use of overwhelming force against anything less of a true zerg. Made your BL rock hard to accomplish anything in. BP did a pretty good job too, but they could learn a lesson from AR in this regard. BP defended well, AR had absolutely smothering defense.

Both BP and AR have also shown more coordination, more tactics, more adaptability, and more learning than they have anytime in recent memory. Good on both of you, keep up the hard work. You are showing that you really do deserve to be our tiermates and that we really do deserve to be in this tier lol.

Ya know, some of us happen to work with Rekz and in some cases even have people on hand with ties to Rekz. Rekz is a pretty good guild that knows it’s open field fighting but other people provide them both the intel and the anvil for them to hammer the enemy against.

It’s true that good guilds can do alot on their own. However they are still pretty impotent without the support that others regularly provide. For example Rekz is great for handling enemy zergs, but other guilds take alot more towers and everything. In contrast you have PK which is a bit more general purpose. We have Rekz-like moments, but we also do alot more havoc squad and territory capturing/defenses. I’m not in position to speak for the focus of other guilds. Then you add the general pugs roaming around which are like bits of putty that fill in the nooks and cracks and crevices. (Sometimes poorly sometimes well).

I believe this is called teamwork in some languages.

Just ran into those guys on my Guardian. I got the thief at first, then a ranger showed up, then a mesmer, then in comes a warrior. Partied up with a LMTL ranger and they smashed us, then we came back and got them twice, then they got us again. 2 more FTF guys came on our side and we fought them at the supply camp too. Really fun fights because they are all super glassy but they just kept coming back for more. Gotta give em that.
