Become the Armored Animal
Bear form hid armor in GW1 as well.
It’s been explained by the novels that transforming also takes in the mass of your clothes. So your armor becomes your fur, etc.
While it definitely makes sense for that to have if we’re talking about magic and so the animators don’t have to spend all this time trying to match clothes to the body in all the different combos- I still would like to see it like the concept art I’ve seen floating around. I don’t mind the forms having a straight across the board armor that appears each time. Even if it’s just something like straps and belts, maybe a shoulder pad or beads in the hair or something.
If anything it would make the forms stand out even more, not that they look terrible now, it would just be a grand addition that I could really appreciate.
The forms would break the armor! Though that would be a cool effect…
