Not me, I decided to go with minimum height.

Yup. I always make my guild wars characters as tall as they can be (since GW1). Even my Asura is as maxed as he is going to get.

At least I am easy to find, just look for the giant purple norn.

My character height is the best way to provide decent beacon for my troops following me. Ever tried to follow asura leading your warband? So yes, I’m playing max height character.

When there’s a height slider I usually max it out anyway. So both my human and Norn females are max height. I made an exception for my Asura though… I thought if they’re going to be short anyway, may as well go to the opposite extreme.

I’m massive. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS… warrior Juggernaut ability doesn’t make us bigger!

Pfft. Max height is for people that are overcompensating. Looks ridiculous IMO. I go with avg height on the scale. You’re still really freakin big and waaaaay taller than the other races can get.

My Norn Female Warrior is max height and looks like an amazon warrior princess in her Berserker armour set.

Everyone I party with comments on how huge she is both good and bad but to me she is just Badkitten

I have the biggest Norn possible of course. Can be a bother with the camera angles in some jumping puzzles though. My character blocks the view infront of me and not enough room to rotate it.

PS, my character is the ebony norn with white hair, and her slider is set to max.

Made a “short” female norn thief, still towers above the rest. Though in my opinion looks more proportional too.

I wonder why don’t we have a numbers of size? So we can know exactly what is character’s height. 2.5 meters, or 3 meters…

Oh god this is great Ahaha. Literally just made me laugh out loud. I just made my norn he’s the max height, for comparison as this is my first norn I went to divinity’s reach the humane leveling area. I was blown away my shield was the size of most of the humans. Was going to pick up a human guardian and strap him to my back. It was hilarious, I can’t wait to see an asura probably squish them though

As tall as possible, as my Norn is in dutch terms (litteraly translated) ‘A bear of a guy’. Also went with the muscley version. Only thing that disappoints me a bit is how the weapons sometimes sink into their clothing. :\

Me too, max size. I love big girls. I wish I hadn’t done it though, fighting indoors is a mess.

I wanted my Ele to be obviously norn, but not be so tall that it impaired my ability to do jumping puzzles and fight indoors as much. I went with just under medium height.

Maxed the height on both my Norn thief and warrior. Was gonna go for the big bulky look as well, but there was something off with the head proportion. Went for the body build in between bulky and thin for both, with the warrior having a slightly more pronounced muscle definition (more veins). Running around Wayfarer hills I thought nothing about my height, but then I traveled to other areas and just realized how miniscule the other races are compared to my gigantic Norn. I have to resist the urge at times to shout “puny humans” in other areas.

I made my female ele max height and it’s great. Like 60% of my guild is Asura so I friggen tower over them.

Best part is walking around Lions Arch and thinking “oh hey look at that kid” and then realize it’s a human PC.

I went with a max sized Norn …

Of the 4 Norn I have. I only made 1 max everything. The others I made shorter and not as massive

My friend did and I never, ever stop making jokes about how large he is, and how he runs in slow moton. Which he does.

It is brilliant… he also ENDLESSLY complains about being unable to see in certain areas, and how some platforming challenges are made horrible because of his decision and his camera’s inability to fit his giant form and anything else in the screen at the same time in tight quarters.

Really , Anet can call them anything they want , big people that live in the snow mountains? Those are giants mate , giants , all that changes is that in GW giants are also vikings.

but there are giants in the game that are bigger than norns …oO? also engi size changing elixers add a whole new level of ridiculousness to this

i run my norn max height … to be honest if i knew how big he was going to be i woulda made him shorter he towers over allmost every other race lol

I’d like to see a maximum sized male norn get the “Ettin Sized buff” in the Chaos Crystals Cavern jumping puzzle.

I was pretty conflicted about whether or not to go all out, especially since I’ve heard a fair few legitimate complaints about how the camera can often play up when in narrow spaces. I’m hoping that such issues will be addressed rather soon, though.

Despite the issues, I ended up going with the maximum height simply because I enjoy making characters who line up very well with their racial lore. Norn are supposed to even bigger than their character models depict, so I felt obliged to go with the highest height and broadest build.

I made my norn as big as I could, I’m a Warrior, and Norn and large by default, so only made sense really from a lore point of view.

It depends on the profession.
Usually Minimum Height for casters, Maximum for Warriors, you get the point.

I made my female Norn the minimum height, which happens to be the maximum height for Sylvari. =p

I did that for one of my Norns (I have two Norn characters so far). He is a male Norn (Engineer), so I chose to go for the maximum height. My female Norn (Guardian) is about in the middle of the height bar, but that’s still very tall compared to all other races. The maximum height (be it for a male or a female) is a little ridiculous it makes me smile every time I play my other characters (Humans).

They look like children compared to any Norns, unless you compare a Norn at the lowest height with a Charr or a Human at maximum height then it’s “alright”, but ironically the furniture’s size in Human cities aren’t exactly fitting for the Human body size when they happen to be of maximum height (contrarily to the Norn furniture and buildings).

I did. My norn female is as tall as I could make her. She has the slim build so she looks like an Amazon. Gotta love the Amazonian Norn Ranger!

This might make sense if there wasn’t the possibility of liking the idea of Norn culture and cultural gear, but not necessarily the size extremes.

I’m pretty sure some players out there make max height humans and minimum height Norn :P

I made my Norn because I worship Thor and anything in relation to the lore he is from. =D

Seriously though, I love the lore, the zones and the look, the human females look too frail, I hate feeling like a frail female, even IRL I am built like a brick house ;P however my Norn is not maximum height she is just above minimum. Still much larger than a puny human

I made my Norn max height because I figured it’d look funny to be a big muscular necromancer dressed like Santa. Made a Norn because I like their culture. Also, they remind me of vikings :p

I agree with the Juggernaut skill comment, I feel like I stay the same height and mass since I’m maxed height with a nice athletic build.
