When the event first started a lot of people are talking about not making it into the zone or a overflow in time to help with the invasion.

The best way to get into the zone, is if you have other guild members or friends doing the same thing, don’t team up when zoning into the area. If one of you make its into the zone everyone will team up with that person, then you can click on that persons portrait to travel to their instance of the zone.

Ask if anyone in your guild is doing the invasion, if so ask to join that persons party. I have actually gotten into the area at the last possible minute and tagged Scarlet and got credit for the kill. I am not sure however if that counted as part of the achievements or not, so if anyone has gotten chevios credit for late arrival you can confirm below.

Yeah and if its 10 minutes after the hour the overflows at that time will not include the invasion.

You can’t join on your friends once the server is full, you’ll just get an error message telling you as much.

Doesn’t work. Overflows fill up as quickly as Home Worlds. Right clicking and joining creates an error message,

Yeah, I’ve tried this today to move someone out of overflow, they just got the error message. I imagine there’s some kind of room between ‘absolutely can’t fit in another person’ and ‘stops letting them in normally’ which is being reached pretty often.

Yeah, you will get the error message about the server being full.

I gave up trying to do any of these events because you can’t get into the maps to do them. (I managed to get into the event twice after trying five times).

I once managed to get into an overflow where the event was happening, but was failing miserably. Yay, fun.

Five of us tried for hours to do this technique and we just got errors as well.
I and two of the others only got into one of the events. Scarlet spawned on me at the end, so I got really lucky considering how many overflow maps I’d been in prior to this one time bit of luck.
Afterwards it was just overflows with no events and finally our last attempt was an overflow and a failed event. I got through one good pass but wasted a few hours for it.

This is why you stop what you’re doing a few minutes before the new hour and wait for the meta status to update. You then immediately go to any wp on that map. Not difficult.

The event lasts a few weeks. Players will drop from doing this every day. I say after 5 or six days it will be much easier to get in, players will have loads of experience completing it and any fixes would already be implemented.

Its it is a lot easier getting into now, since everyone is not going out to areas that they have already gotten credit for.

Initially Anet you should have had it go off every 30 minutes so while a big group of people had made it into one, everyone else could be going into the next since it lasted 45m the overlap would have allowed for more people the ability to make it and not get upset about not making it and more fusing about farming.

They have literally ruined this event by their stupid overflow nonsense that doesn’t let you play in the event due to being on the overflow server. Its become a complete joke.

Its also been days since I last was able to even do one of the events.

Either make it so the overflow has the same events, or spread the events around the entire map, not just zones, at the same time.

I look less and less forward to their “events” anymore. I end up logging out immediately and playing another game, instead of wasting my time standing around for an opening.

But see the overlaps would have been in two different locations and the 10 minute cutoff was not the right approach with people getting put on a overflow that did not have many people on it, they ended up with and automatic fail.

If you missed the invasion cutoff by a couple minutes, you can return to the character select screen, wait a couple minutes and rejoin to try to enter a new overflow.

Rinse and repeat to try to snag an empty spot in an active overflow.
