I am not sure whether it has been suggested or not but I think this game should have a climbing tower type content. Something like Fractals of the Mists but different in base content.

What I am thinking is more on the line of using & understanding all 8 classes. To display the skeleton I have in mind…

The tower has about 100 floors. One can only do one floor per day. Each floor has multiple sections like fractals but unlike fractals, you can leave after doing a section like a personal story. After completing each section, you get a key which will let you continue when you return after leaving. The tower can be done solo or 2 men cell but not more than that.
(The reason for 2 men is because some people may not want to spend gems on getting character slot expansion)

The content of each section however is completely different than fractals. The main objective is not just a brutal mindless fight where you can zerk your way through. Well, there will be fights but not the center point.
Each section is specifically designed with a class in mind and you must use that class in order to complete it.
The section will fully utilize the class skills and higher you move, it will point to one specific area of the class. You will have to re-trait your character in the area that the section desires & master it completely in order to pass through. Higher levels will push you down to your limits squeezing every bit of performance the class can offer.

i.e. The section designed for guardians will have enemies that are susceptible only to fire dmg and will drop conditions of you. Burn them and cleanse them. At higher levels, every bit of burning counts. For thieves, every second of stealth counts. For rangers, every bit of healing counts.

The content can have obstacles that can only be cleared with certain skills. Few tasks could be time limited so recharging your skills and using them at the right moment & in right sequence also counts. Perhaps, party of 2+ can be allowed at higher levels where you must have 2 or 3 certain classes in order to pass through but that comes down to finding a right party so this could create some frictions but a part of MMORPG. Perhaps, you can get character slots as rewards on your way up to let you get your own 8 classes.

Level 100.. behold…. you have mastered all 8 classes and hence GW2. You can select a weapon or armor of gods that stand above Legendary. Oh btw, your progress has been set to Level 1.

I think you have been watching sword art online xD. But I do like the idea of climbing a tower content would be nice is this new living story not like that all I know is they have a tower haven’t gotten a chance to play it yet.

ahh no not really but I have thought of a tower like this since the start. It would be great if we had something like that which takes more than a week to do.
Fractals were great but it has reached its limit.
It would be nice to have a content that I can play for a while!

yeah.. but what I want to see if stretching the class limits.
Instead of the rockhead fighting, I want an instance where “sneaking past” is the right action .. you NEED to have jumping skills & stealth in order to make it through because they are valid parts of the game.

If you want the best armor set in the whole Tyria, you must be versatile & master of all skills that exist in Tyria.. well, throw in those element mastery too.

I suggested somethign similar a real long time ago already with somethign like a *"Tower of Destiny" that has on top of it 2 special locations.

1st: The hidden Sky Temple Ruins of Dwayna, a new kind of Elite Endgame Dungeon to that people gain only access first, if they did successully first the Tower Climbing of its 100 floors as a kind of Pre-Dungeon where you hit on every 10th floor on a unique new boss, which can drop you some unique new rewards that you can receive only through these 10 new bosses.

2nd Location – The Hall of Heroes, the new revamped GW2 version of the Hall of Monuments to that you gain only access, once you’’ve got the 1 time account bound basic reward for completing the Lost Ruins of Dwayna’s Sky Temple.

The Key of Destiny, which opens up for a character the Gates of Radiant Hope that block off otherwise the way to the Hall of Heroes protecting the hall from everything evil…

Those 10 Bosses would be somethign totally new in regard of mechanics or in regard of creatures from all over Tyria.

Floor 10: – The nineheaded Hydra
Floor 20: – The Chimera
Floor 30: – Grief & Despair
Floor 40: – The Higher Air Elemental
Floor 50: – The Ivy Heart of Doom
Floor 60: – The Harpy Queen “Nemesis”
Floor 70: – The Four Riders of the Mist
Floor 80: – Dwayna’s Avatar Guardian, the Sky Knight
Floor 90: – The Celestial Gryphon
Floor 100: – The Radiant Seraphim + 2 Celestial Gryphons

The floors between the Booss Floors would always change whenever you enter the tower, being the ultimate Dungeon Crawler as endgame content, which will feel always different to the player due to changing enemies, changing paths. No reward chest will ever wbe at the same place.
No tools to be found in the floors to open uplocked paths or to find treasures will be found at the same places (Floor Maps, Floor Keys, Floor Compasses)

Completely scales from Soloable to Groups of 5 Players.

I’d really like to see somethign like that beign implemented together with a complete new map to explore, like putting that kind of tower somewhere, where it would be hard to make new content for a new map, like that island south of the claw island.

This tower being implemented together with claw island being revamped to be revisited as a permanent part of the world map together with new events and an option to sail by ship over to the Tower Island. and using some of the see to implement maybe also some new underwater content there together with maybe a new underwater minigame (blitzball somethign similar anyone ?? ^^)

I think that would be the best 3 in 1 solution that Anet could make with that part of the world map.

- Making Claw Island revisatable with new events
- Using the island sout of it for the new Dual Dungeon with the 100 Stock Tower and Dwaynas Sky Temple.
- Using all the water of that area for new Underwater Content / Underwater Dungeon/Minigame, because I think its better to split that open area up in half, as the west side where the land is, is the Dominion of Winds and I think this should get its own seperated area either, or it could get merged together into 1 new bigger map under the name of the Dominion of Winds that could be used then also with playable Tengus as new feature of that patch…

Tnegus becoming a playable race could be also combined together with a new living story segment, that could lead us with them together to the Tower of Destiny.

That was my core suggestion fleshed out now a bit more now

I do like the unique dungeon floor boss idea… We can have fights like liadri where players actually have to keep moving and dodging or complete various objective while fighting instead of just zerk meleeing. (Although not exactly to liadri’s extent where u have like a coin worth of space to fight)

But sureshot rewards would be much better.
