I have a friend that is color-blind and there are many important things in the game that she can’t see, like red AoE circles, her health, certain entire dungeons (like Citadel of Flame), etc. This obviously makes the game difficult for her to play and I think it would be a lot more enjoyable for color-blind people if there were support options for color-blindness. She’s red-green color-blind, but I know there are people who are blue-yellow color-blind, so an option for both of these would be useful.

I think AoE warnings should have different textures as well as different colors.

White smooth line ( —-———— ) for friendly AoE.
Red jagged line ( /\/\/\/\/\ ) for hostile AoE.

This sounds a lot more crucial of an issue to address than many of the other things on this board. I mean, I’m not color blind myself, but I would hate to have my game play limited because of my genetics.

I could have sworn there was a box to tick for colorblind mode before, but now that I went looking I see there isn’t one.

I’m a dichromat myself and I have had issues in a specific dungeon area where the ground texture makes a boss’ AoE circles very harder for me to spot. I figured it was just that place that messed with it as I was sure I already had colorblind mode on but I guess I was wrong.

I would hope that Anet puts in the option but from experience with other devs on this issue and what with how there are other in-game problems thats been known about for ages that still haven’t been fixed I fear it might take a LONG time before we get one. Last game in which I had issues with my colorblindness it took about 2 years of pleading from colorblind players before the devs implement an option to fix it…
