Let me just start by saying that I love GW2, and I am extremely impressed at the rate with which Arenanet puts out new content to keep me interested. I also want to throw out there that the purpose of this post is NOT to bash Arenanet or QQ about the lack of certain features. I think they are doing a good job. That said, and precisely because I like this game and want it to continue to succeed, I have decided to come up with a comprehensive list of quality of life changes that the player base would like to see in the game. If this is a good enough list, hopefully this will eventually be brought to the attention of Anet. Obviously, I know that fixing all of these issues immediately isn’t possible, and we should not expect them to do so, but it never hurts to let a game developer know the kinds of features that the player base would like to see in their game.

Please let me know if you have any more changes that you would like to see that I haven’t covered, and I’ll add them to the list. Remember, I am talking about quality of life changes, not content. Since it is likely to be a long list, I will post them in the comments section so as not to present the Great Wall of Text.

These items are listed in no particular order of importance.

1. Tab Targeting System:

The current system targets yellow mobs and does not prioritize champs/vets/normals. Pressing tab should never have me target the moa standing beside me when there is a giant champion pirate beating the crap out of me. It should also prioritize champs over vets and vets over normals. As a side note, I would also love to see a drop all targets keybind so that I can ride the lightning without having to find a spot of empty ground to click with my mouse first.

2. Mouse Pointer:

The mouse pointer blends in with the background and can be easily lost during combat. Sometimes I could swear it disappears entirely. This issue is exacerbated by the fact that the tab targeting system is less than functional. You want to target a champ mob and your mouse disappears? Good luck targeting it over that moa standing beside you.

3. Trading Post:

The trading post is in serious need of a rework. Back items still do not show up on filters, not all items are even covered by filters, you cannot batch purchase multiple items, cannot list under vendor price, etc. I could go on all day about how many issues the trading post has. As a potential solution, I’m envisioning something like a spreadsheet style UI. It has a check box next to the item name, a toggle for place an order/purchase, the current lowest sell price, current highest buy order, a quantity field (where you type how many you want), and (if that particular checkbox is toggled to order mode) a field to input the price at which you want to order. The user then check marks all the stuff he wants to buy, fills in the quantity and (if order mode) price, and batch checks out.

4. Conditions:

Conditions do not benefit from precision or crit damage as they cannot crit. They are also artificially capped. The fact that direct damage is prioritized so highly in the current meta in terms of gearing can be largely attributed to these facts. I honestly do not have a good solution, but something definitely needs to be done about conditions.

5. Defiant and Crowd Control:

I understand why we have defiant, but it needs a massive rework. CC is supposed to be one of the “new holy trinity” aspects that Arenanet pushed at launch. It will never live up to that so long as every boss can resist CC to an outrageous extent.

6. Commander Titles:

There is honestly not much functionality to a commander title. Not to mention, they can be bought and turned on by any player with enough gold. Why not have varying grades of commander title? Squad leader? Captain? Colonel? Field Marshal? The initial title of squad leader could be the one we have now, which is bought. Subsequent ranks are earned through WvW. Field Marshals could have unique abilities facilitate the coordination of the entire borderland, whereas captains would have abilities to facilitate the coordination of several squad leaders. In any case, there needs to be SOMETHING meaningful that commanders can do to set them apart other than stacking for supply check.

7. Guild System:

Also needs a serious overhaul. Ability to represent more than one guild and split the influence earned, ability to see guild chat for multiple guilds, guild calendars, improved visibility of the message of the day, last seen online, ability for an officer to mass pm or mass mail all guild members, etc. are all features that really need to be in the game. Perhaps even alliances or alliance chat?

8. Mail/Chat System:

The suppression system for mail/chat is too heavy. I get that this is to prevent spam bots, but the fact is that I should be able to mail my friends/guild members as many items as I want. I also shouldn’t get suppressed in WvW for calling out static fields like my commander wants me to do.

9. Out of Combat Weapon/Gear Swapping:

Look, I play an Elementalist, and I am well aware that the ability to swap weapons in combat would make me pretty overpowered. I get that. I’m not arguing for that. That said, there is no reason not to allow us to bind alternate weapons, or even gear to an alternate slot that we can switch between out of combat. We already do this. You just open your inventory, right click the equip slot, and pick which weapon/armor piece you want. There is no good reason at this stage in the game to still have to swap weapons and armor via manual click and drag. We should be able to have a pane where we store alternate sets of weapons and armor that we can cycle through at will outside of combat without having to use half our inventory space carrying around situational gear. Period.

10. Build Saving/Trait Swapping:

Along with weapon/gear swapping, we are in dire dire need of build saving/trait swapping. We had a great system for this in GW1. All Anet needs to do is copy that system exactly. By all means, they can even charge me the 5 silver straight from my UI instead of making me run all the way back to a city and I WILL NOT COMPLAIN.

11. LFG Tool:

Hopefully this is forthcoming.

12. PVE Skin Locker:

In a game that is all about the cosmetics, it’s really a shame we do not have one of these. At the very least, it needs to be a storage panel that holds a piece of every weapon and armor in the game. Preferably, the skin should be able to be withdrawn ad infinitum, much like the zenith weapons are currently, although I can understand there might be implementation issues with that. I don’t think Anet fully realizes how big of a deal this would be to skin collectors, and how many potential sales this could result in for them during skin sales. There are people out there who HAVE to have everything if it is something able to be collected.

13. Customizable UI:

I understand the game is young, but I honestly can’t believe we still don’t have this. GW1 has this, and that game came out a very long time ago.

14. Colorblind Options:

I have heard it stated somewhere that roughly 8% of the human race is color blind. To those people, the red/orange colors that Anet seems to favor to warn you that you are about to die can be pretty much invisible.

15. Auto Stacking of Deposited Bank Items:

If I have 245 omnomberry bars in the bank already, and I deposit 5 more, I should have ONE stack of 250 omnomberry bars. This is basic functionality in most every game with a bank.

16. Consume All/Open All:

Especially with the new drips of liquid karma that are being awarded via champ farm, we need an option to right click/drink all. This would also be great as an open all feature for bags of loot, orrian jewelry boxes, etc.

17. Batch Mystic Forge Creation:

I don’t see why this should be any different than batch crafting. If I place enough items into Zommoros to make 20 charged lodestones, I should have the option to make 20 lodestones should I so desire.

18. Call Target System:

I should be able to call targets even when I am not in a party. Furthermore, I should never lose the target that I have called unless I call a new target, the target dies, the target stealths, I dismiss the target, I leave the zone, or I get some OUTRAGEOUSLY LARGE distance away from the target.

19. Show WvW Borderland in Guild Panel:

If my guild friends are playing WvW, I should be able to see which borderland they are in; I shouldn’t have to ask them.

20. Account Wide X Slot Bag:

This is something that altaholics like myself would likely cut out their left nut for. This concept was implemented in minecraft tekkit, and would be a good idea in this game as well. Basically, this is a bag, which you can craft, which you can store items in, much like our current invisible/junk/etc. bags. The items in the bag are part of a shared pool across your account. Any character on your account can access and use these items so long as they, too, have one of the linked bags.

Ex: Character A crafts an account wide bag and puts 2 omnomberry bars in it. Character B crafts another account wide bag and sees the 2 delicious looking omnomberry bars inside. Character B then eats 1. After all, they look delicious. There is now 1 omnomberry bar left in the bag for either Character A or Character B to eat.

21. Toggle Type Ctrl/Alt Feature:

Holding Ctrl and Alt is all well and good, but why not simply make them toggles instead so we can use our fingers elsewhere? Tap the button once, you see names. Tap again, names disappear.

22. Salvage Kit that Removes Upgrade without Destroying Item:

This needs to exist. I am fickle with my gearing. I change my mind a lot on which runes and sigils I should be using. It sure would be nice not to waste those 15-20 gold worth of runes when I decide I want to switch to something different. Make it a gem store item. I honestly wouldn’t care.

23. Auto-target Individual Skills Feature:

I can’t even imagine how much better this would make my game play. There are certain skills (such as ride the lightning) that I definitely never want to auto-target, and so I play with the feature turned off. That said, I can’t imagine myself casting a dragon tooth and not wanting it to target an enemy. Would be really nice to have the option to do both.

24. Dye Template Saver:

Much like the build saver, this would be much nicer than simply memorizing which dyes you used.

25. Minipet Manager:

Minipets really need a slot in the Hero or perhaps Inventory panel where they can be stored and activated at will. They also need to persist on changing zones. This would likely make many more people ACTUALLY USE their minipets.

26. Automated Consumable Buff Queue/Consumable Keybind:

Place X food and Y wrench booster in their respective slots. Your character will auto renew the consumables on their expiration until you either run out of consumables or remove them from the slot. Would also be nice to have a consume keybind so that we don’t have to open our inventory every time we eat something.

27. Automated Guild Boost Triggers:

Give guild leaders and officers the option to renew boosts such as the 24 hour karma buff automatically upon expiration and queue another built so long as there is influence available.

28. Personality System:

Does charming, dignified, or ferocious actually do anything? If it doesn’t, either make it do something or remove the system from the game.

29. Squad Interface:

The purpose of a squad is to bring together multiple parties. They have absolutely no meaning if you can’t SEE the members of the other parties. Perhaps show the location of each party leader on the map with a different colored circle?

30. Town Clothes:

What is the point of these? At least in GW1 you had costumes that you could wear over your armor. Town clothes seem absolutely pointless in their current form.

31. Dungeon Party Leader:

Many players complain about this feature. A person starts a dungeon, leaves the party/is kicked/switches character, and the whole party is kicked out of the dungeon. Surely there is a better way to handle this issue.

32. Customizable Sell Button:

Would be very nice to have a button on vendors that you could customize to “sell all whites”, “sell all blues”, etc.

33. Improved Lighting/Clipping:

There are many places in the world, such as the huntsman station of lion’s arch, where the lighting is really strange. If you shift the camera slightly, the terrain completely changes color. Also, many weapons and armor still have clipping issues. Not a QoL change in that this is more of a bug fix, but would be nice to resolve. Also, Charr armor. Enough said.

34. Improved Alt Mechanics for WvW:

The WxP required to level even 1 line fully is so ridiculously high that those of us with alts can’t possibly hope to be effective with anyone unless we pick one character to WvW. We shouldn’t have to pick 1 character to WvW. Not saying account bound WxP and Rank is the best way to go, but SOMETHING needs to be done.

35. Grace Period for Disconnects:

This is especially important for items like the new invasion content. If I d/c 35 minutes into the invasion, and reconnect 30 seconds later, I should be sent back into the exact overflow that I came from. Furthermore, I should also receive the completion reward that I earned when the event ends. So many games deal with d/c so much better than GW2…

36. Batch Purchase from Vendor:

Like the trading post suggestion I mentioned, it would also be nice to have some sort of interface to batch purchase from vendors. I’m looking at you again, orrian jewelry box.

37. First Person View:

Having the camera zoom in just that little bit further would make would be photographers out there very happy.

38. Disable Allied Targeting:

This goes along with #1 and #2, but I do not need to target my ally in combat. Ever. Period.

Most of these need to be addressed, especially the targeting/camera issue.
It’s a kittening pain playing some classes like engineer where you swap from targeted attacks to non-targeted attacks constantly, I NEVER get the target I want using tab even though I make it clear which one it should target.

Having some skills use auto targeting and others not is simply the best thing to do and I’ve been suggesting this since forever.

And fix pop-ups for next fractal interrupting my typing and making my character do stupid things instead.

Not exactly what you meant by number 4, but the fact that conditions only need one stat to be effective and the other two remaining stats can be used defensively is what makes condition builds overwhelmingly popular and strong right now. If anything, I’d support the addition of a second stat required to make conditions worth while so condition builds weren’t also bunkerish.

Some neat ideas, like #20 , and on some points I just have to wholeheartedly agree, though.
No lfg tool, no proper skill and equipment loadouts, no real minipet support, useless town clothes, useless personality etc, it just feels lacking…

as a Leftie, I wish that we could rebind the Ctrl-call feature to something a little more out-of-the-way.

As it is, that button is just too big and fat not to use for something crucial (Dodge in my case), resulting in frequent and embarrassing mis-calls. (yes I do use a multibutton mouse as well).

My other pet peeve is that chat defaults to “Say” when rezoning or changing character.

We need a “festival/town item maker” like in GW1, this NPC allows all your characters to be able to obtain that festival hat/town clothes/toys (maybe skins too) at any time.

Commander Titles must be an account title.

WvW points/level must be account bound.

We dont need karma bottles anymore cause karma is account bound so we need a direct karma reward instead of bottles.

Collectable/Special item tab where we can drop all that… things like material and mini pet tab.

Yeah pretty much agree with all of that, priority for me would be the “tab” targeting, it’s terrible, mouse pointer, build saving/trait swapping, town clothes (What’s the point in them).

And many of the suggestions would just go towards making it a better game.

Chat Sounds

Currently the chat sounds work counterintuitively here in GW2. You hear the ding when you send a whisper when it should be the other way around!

Players can create separate chat windows and turn on “Flash on unread messages” however this is only a visual cue. It would also help if other windows would remember the last read line and start from there when you switch back to it.

Ones I disagree with (to an extent):
4: Maybe change this for PVE but NOT for PVP. Condis are ruling the current pvp meta and they need to be capped.
5: I think defiant as it stands is fine. Bosses start without it when they first spawn, which (if needed be) you can use to your advantage by knocking them against a wall or interrupting a 1-hit-ko skill. Takes a bit of thinking (making sure your team mates don’t activate it) but hey that’s what dungeons are for. I mean if there wasn’t defiant imagine all the bosses getting perma-stunned in events.
20: Just get a portable banker I’d say.

Other than those (imo), everything else is spot on! Sadly though I can see only maybe a quarter of these being added :/

I agree completely. Some further ideas I’d like to see implemented:

1. Consumable item slots. It’s so much more enjoyable when you have a separate slot ( or slots) for consumable items. You don’t feel it’s a burden and just clogging inventory space, you don’t have to worry about accidentally selling it, you can easily see how many more of these items you have and you can easily activate it without finding it in your inventory first. Not to mention that you won’t have to keep opening your inv in the middle of the combat.
Adding to this idea, ADD ACTUAL ANIMATIONS when using consumables! I mean, they are already in the game – the engineer potion drinking animation can be used when you drink a potion, and one of the countless eating animations when using food buffs.

2. Option to disable allied targeting when in combat. I can’t think of a single reason why I would like to target an ally in the combat – I can heal or buff him without targeting him, I can check his hp by hovering over him (if I don’t have him in the party window already); the only thing it does is makes it impossible to target specific enemies in a zerg.

3. Don’t mix annual currencies with regular crafting materials. There’s already a category in our collectibles bank for festive stuff and it only has halloween and winter stuff in it. Make it so it also contains SAB stuff (1st April), queen’s gauntlet (It’s annual, right?) etc. Also, finally add bank slots for doubloons, I think you still have to keep them in your bank instead of collectibles slots?

4. Fix ride the lightning stopping player’s autorun when it finishes casting (I doubt it’s intentional since some times it doesn’t do that). Also, not getting near enough enemies to actually blow up – you just end up stuck to the champion, unable to move or cancel the skill. Either make skill nr.1 when transformed a cancel ability (like we had in fire aspect in the bazaar), or make it so it “rides” us into the middle of the enemy mob, or at least much closer to it.

I thought I’d add some input.
We are of course working on several QoL changes but I can’t go into detail about them just yet. We believe focusing on more important features (such as our recent Living World initiative) takes precedence over devoting man power to simply improve upon things that don’t really need to be urgently fixed. We hope that while you wait for these improvements you enjoy our nice, constant stream, of Living World updates and watch the world unfold at your fingertips!

But really, getting back to the subject.
This is a great post and thank you for taking the time to write it up.
If I think of anything more I will post it back here for you.

This is the best thread ever.
I have suggested a few things of these myself like the gear swap, and consume all.
I agree with most of the things here and think that this thread should be printed and put up on every dev’s desk.
However I would like to add some things to one of the points and add a point that is kind of related.

Change: 22. Salvage kit removes upgrade AND SKIN
Or another salvage kit that resets the skin and gives you a consumable skin.

Add: 33 Buy X items from a vendor
Useful for for example consumables like spy kits, that you need to buy many of.
Chef and other craft items.
Alcohol for achievemnt (need some 25000 items or something).
And probably more.

Nice list of suggestions. Here are my opinions on each point.

1 and 2. I personally don’t use Tab targeting, since I prefer to manually select my target, but I agree that sometimes in the heat of battle, I have to wiggle my mouse to find it in the midst of particle effects. And sometimes I end up selecting a trash mob instead of the Champion mob. Since they removed the right-click targeting, I would personally use it to bind it to Clear Target (or Unselect). That would save me from leaping backward to an enemy I’m trying to disengage.

3. What I find kittenly ridiculous about the TP is that while the sellers cannot post under the vendor prices, buyers are free to do so. That’s just bad design on Anet’s part. Also, although I agree with you, the back items are really too few to require proper sorting for now. You get most of your back items through leveling, with the heart/karma vendor, and at Lvl80, almost all players jump into the spineguards. I like your spreadsheet idea, but personally I think the TP is adequate for now.

4. The conditions do not crit by design and are capped for balance. I don’t think that condition builds are underrated, but I do think a lil’ buff (like increasing the number of stacks) would balance the direct/condition damage scale.

5. This has to be dial-in very carefully. Bosses wouldn’t be bosses if they could be immobilized, pushed back, pulled in, dazed and stunned across a zerg mob. Even the slightest increase in CC permissions would be unbalanced between a small party and a zone zerg. I think it’s fine that Champions and Legendaries are more or less immune to CC.

6. I posted in another thread on the topic of commander tags. See Commander Tags for reference.

7. The point of the influence is to induce commitment to a single guild. And as for seeing multiple chat feed, that’s another bowl of clusterfrack. If you receive multiple chat feed, does that mean that your own chat is sent to all your guilds? That would mean that your text would make sense to one guild, whose message originated and your responded, but totally not make sense to another or more guilds. Furthermore, the guild chat gets hectic sometimes, and I would not like to add another guild chat feed on top of that. I agree with the next suggestions. They are common suggestions everywhere.

8. Somewhat agree. I think that people on each other’s friend list should get unlimited send, but I still think that if you need to spam the directions (like in WvW), then it’s the players’ fault (short attention span, distractions, idiots, etc).

9. Right-click the gear slot? Manual drag to equip items? Bro, do you even double-click? Why don’t you just keep your bags separated in your inventory, and keep your alternate gear on a single line. When you want to switch, you just double-click a line of 7-8 items, and it’s done. As for having half your inventory kept for situation-specific gear, you must be new to RPGs if you think that gear should be kept in a weight-free vacuum and you can access it whenever you like from wherever you are.

Sorry if #9 was harsh.

10. While I fully agree and wish for the same thing, I think it’s designed that way to enforce commitment to a build. I don’t like it, but I understand it.

11. I posted about this, not sure if it was here or reddit, but I think that Anet will never implement a LFG option unless there is free resources and a dire need. The best explanation I have for this reasoning is the same with Portal 2 custom map . In the spoof promo, Aperture/Valve sneakily explain that there’s no need to waste company resources when others will do the work for free. Same with the LFG tool. People already use gw2lfg to form parties, mainly for dungeons, and it works just fine. Anet will probably think about making their own when gw2lfg will no longer satisfy the player base, but not anytime soon.

12. While I agree and would want that (infinite drawing like Zenith skins), I think it contradicts GW2’s stance on the subject. To be confirmed by Anet, but I think I remember them saying (posting) they want the player base to choose/commit to a skin, and maybe hold copies of the same gear with different skin(s). And the fact that there are people who have to have everything is an argument against skin locker, since hoarding skin, or skinned gear, would ultimately force hoarder to spend on banking and inventory space, aka gems.

13. Give it time. I personally don’t have anything against the current UI, but I remember in Rift where it was fully customizable to no extend, and I appreciated the work of the developers to make it a possibility.

14. I don’t think that making modifications for 8% of the player base is in Anet’s priorities. Rather, I would think that specific monitors for the color blind would be better for them. I don’t know if those exist, but they’d be nice.

15. I’m pretty sure that it does stack if you drag them on the previous stack directly. It’s weird why it doesn’t stack when you double-click it into the bank. I guess it’s a bad coding that never got fixed, and since it doesn’t break anything, they left it there. Hopefully one day they’ll fix it.

16. I just use a macro to spam left mouse click when I open large stacks of consumables. Sorry Anet if you don’t like macros, but I’m not breaking my gaming mouse over your lacking design.

17. I don’t really use the forge myself, but I see and agree with that point.

18. While I do like the idea of having a big target reticle above my target, there’s already a downward pointing arrow above it. And I think in the game options you can select “Lock Target when I use a skill on it” or something like that. With the newly implemented no target on right click, you shouldn’t lose sight of your target. Personally the only beef I have with the Call Target is how long the reticle stays above a dead target. I personally never lost a called target unless in the situations you specified.

19. I think it has something to do with the fact that the borderlands ID change every week. I don’t mind taking a minute to ask fellow guild mates which borderlands they are in.

20. That’s what the bank is for. If you’re asking for a portable account-wide shared container, I think that’s a little too meta for my taste.

21. I personally use a Logitech G13 to play GW2, and don’t have to strain my pinky for Ctrl or Alt, but I do agree that some players would like them toggable (sic).

22. Like I said earlier, I think Anet focuses on choice and commitment in GW2. However, I would not be surprised in the future to see such an item on the gem store.

23. That’s more of a personal preference and something you need to choose on your own (whether to have in the option to auto-target on skill use or not).

24. There’s a favorite section for dyes exactly for that. Unfortunately, it only stores like 6 dyes. Seriously, choice and commitment is omnipresent in GW2. It’s a game design they chose, and we have to live with it until the player base whines enough.

25. Invisible bags for keeping them. Yes on the zone change persistence. I don’t use minis myself very much. Maybe that will change when they will implement the Polymock.

26 and 27. That’s just lazy in my book. There’s a fine line between convenient and lazy. A gentleman knows where the line is.

28. Maybe they will implement something with it eventually, and implemented it early so people will be aware of its existence.

29. See my post about commander tags for my suggestions. Basically, party members in bright blue, squad members in yellow on the map.

30. I think they will implement something with it eventually. Some features of GW2 were implemented without being fully used, like the guy in LA near the guild vendor that has a “To be used in the future” sell tab. Right now, I think that fighting gear is more appealing to other players than town clothes. In some months, when the new content will slow down, and players will homogenize their closet, the focus will shift to town clothes.

31. Nothing more to say, I agree.

32. See #26 and 27.

Just want to chime in for a moment. I appreciate many of you taking the time to give your opinions on each of these suggestions, but I just want to point out a few things:

1. These are not my personal suggestions (some of you seem to be tailoring your responses like they are). They were collected from various posts on reddit and these forums, though I do agree with many of them.

2. Yes, some of these are picky. That’s the nature of a “comprehensive list.” Ask yourself, “in a perfect world, what would GW2 look like?” Those are the kinds of things that will end up in this list, so long as they are valid suggestions.

3. I’m fully aware that Anet may never get to many of these. Again, “comprehensive list”. That said, it is NEVER a bad idea to let a game developer know what the player base would like to see. Ultimately whether or not they implement them and how they choose to prioritize them is their choice.

4. While I value your opinions, the truth is I am more looking for any suggestions that I may have missed. As I said, these are all suggestions that I found on reddit and these forums that garnered a decent amount of community support. In other words, many players already think they are valid suggestions. What I want to know is anything that I may have missed.

5. Just because there may be a way around a particular inconvenience does not mean it is no longer an inconvenience. Bad design is bad design, even if you have a relatively easy way around it. Please remember that. This post is to point out areas of design that could use improvement. After all, these are the suggestion forums.

I will update some of the suggestions that many of you have mentioned as soon as I can find a decent chunk of time to do so.

All of it! There are a select few that id give priority to, but they are all necessary without a doubt. Great write-up.

As a woman I don’t have a left nut. Or a right one.
But if I did, I’d give it for an Account Wide Bag.
A special little slots for things like, minipets, food, my kite, my dance book, instruments, royal terrace pass. So many things.

Infact I’d give both imaginary nuts.

Edit; more things: personal banker. Mystic forge node. Summon merchant. Instant repair canisters, boosters, tonics to turn me into a dolyak, cake…

OMG GIVE ME IT NAO.

A comment on 38.
It is nice to be able to target allies to be able to mark them in order to for example have a leader that everyone follows. Useful to bring bosses to places.
It’s alro nice to be able to mark dead people so that live party members more easilly can see them and ress them faster.

That said, it is kinda annoying when you target allies in a zerg instead of targeting the enemy. So some fix to that could be nice.

Ahmg. All these things.

Also some improvements on inventory handing and item linking in general would be cool.

There’s already examples of how this should work in industry leading games. No need to make things hard just to be contrary.

And, as always, optional item quality highlights in inventory.

I understand this is an old topic, but I think it is worth reading and deserves more views. After 1 year, I feel like a lot of these should already be fixed/implemented.

The ideas here are very encompassing and analytical, and picked up on issues that probably wouldn’t have even crossed my mind. Excellent work.

THIS, THIS, AND THIS!!!

This is really something totally annoying which started to appear for me to occore more oftenly after one of the updates early of this year, i think it was after the update that brought the cutthroat politics content, when I started to notice these graphical problems to occure like all the time, whenever moving slightly the camera, that all kinds of environmental structures around you become like 50% transparence so that you can see through them (so this is a lighting problem?..ok, im no expert at this, but whats annoying is annoying, especially when there was a state, where this stuff worked properly before of a content patch had been released)

I made once a picture of this problem, when standing in Rata Sum with a comparison, when the camera angle was normal with a normal looking rata sum and then another picture with havign the camera angle moved like 2 degrees into an other direction and seeign then the graphical problem appear that lets rata sum look totally different…

I deleted them, but its no problem to make new ones as this problem with the graphics is super easily reproduceable there.
However, the problem isn’t just in Rata Sum, its basically everywhere in the game and thats it what makes it so extremely annoying.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside
