Get Rid of Armor Damage & Repairs
Keep repair fee as it penalizes you for dying, get rid of waypoints fee as it penalizes you for playing.
Complain when they start robbing you of real money to repair armors & weapons.
I really don’t have issues with repairing my armor, to be quite honest. It’s my fault that my armor was damaged, so okay, I’ll pay a really small repair fee.

The really small repair fee is a tad too high when you’re in all exotics – namely, 6 silver a shot.
I think they should:
- Add durability to armor and weapons
- Make durability loss a small chance when you hit (for weapons) or get hit (for armor)
- Give durability loss a small cooldown to prevent unlucky streaks, and to prevent fast weapons from being penalized over slow weapons
- Remove durability loss upon death
- Remove waypoint cost upon death, but you can only choose the closest 3 uncontested waypoints.

I’m in all exotics and I hardly ever have a 6 silver repair cost. The only way that you would have a repair bill that high is you let it go, damaged, for a while and only repair it when it gets broken.
?
That’s weird – any damaged piece is 6 silver for me.
I have had all my armor damaged in a main event a few times, after being revived several times by friends I had 4 pieces damaged all exotic then had to pay travel cost 1s 75c, to closet repair shop, then repair was 3s +some copper its outrageous when all you have is maybe 20-30s in the first place, the game doesn’t give you that much money as it is, if you play fair and not buy tons of gold from dealers. Then i guess it doesn’t bother you people then. I just find it to much like WoW and I quit WoW because of that, it’s a time consuming waste and a money pit for the programmers to take from your toons, either get rid of it or get rid of the travel costs! Or make bigger cash drops rewards.
If you’re having trouble making more than 3 silver a day, you seriously need to revamp your game plan.
On average, I can get 50s a day with dailies, achievement, story line, and the biggest money maker of all TP-ing. So I would say that 3-6 silver of repairs for dying, don’t make a scratch.
Edit: And I haven’t spent a single gem on this game.

I agree. If you are having problems paying this kind of money for repair bills, you might want to look at where you are spending all your money. My guess is the Trading Post… Unless of course you are taking a dirt nap so much that you are constantly having to repair. If that is the case you need to look at your build, armor, and find your dodge key.

Repair bills aren’t that much and not often at all. Last time I paid, I think, 3 silvers or so and yes I am in exotics. Really, think of it as a reminder to pay attention and not to die. Sure sometimes you have a slip up but 3 silver really is not that bad. Never having played GW1, I can’t comment but my friend who did told me death penalties where quite steep- this is here-say however so it might be completely untrue.
Also you don’t get armor damage from being knocked out, or even from falling- just out right dying.
Players spend money on repairs -> Huge amount of money are destroyed on large scale -> There’s less money in the game / Players need more money -> Gold is bought with real money.
Same things for waypoints… It’s just an effect of the Gem Store, trying to sell more gems.
I dont mind paying for repairs or traveling… What I mind is the lack of a decent ingame economy… GW2 simply has the worse ingame economy i’ve ever seen..
