When the character is using a weapon in each hand (any combination of swords, maces, daggers and axes) the main attack (1) should be different from when is only using one weapon in the main hand. The logic is that if the char will use 2 weapons he will use both simultaneously at least an important part of the time he’s attacking.
Or at least change the animation, it really doesn’t make any sense having 2 weapons but only attacking with one most of the time.
This could also apply to ranged, scepters and pistols. And even, but probably a bit more complex, to melee-ranged combinations (scepter-dagger in necros, for example)
It’s also a bit more equitative between the contribution of skills that each weapon does, 2 skills would come from each and the 5th would be a combination of both.

I agree that each weapon combo should have a unique slot 1 skill.

I agree, like when you dual-weild pistols and still only bother firing one, it’s pretty stupid.
