Here’s an idea I thought of to fix some viability issues with power necro builds.
Currently one of the issues is that our wells are our most powerful utility skills when we are specced into power stats. However, spending the 20 points to make them ‘ground targeted’ makes us get a lot of traits that we could spend more effectively elsewhere. In addition, they are very easy to avoid, as a player simply has to move a small bit and they are out. Necromancers do not have a lot of skills that enable them to keep players close and in the wells, so often our wells are just not going to work very well.
As most power necros are within close range for axe or dagger mainhand, I believe that this would be an easy way to fix this problem.
Make a trait (or just make it a general change) that, unless wells are ground targeted, they will surround the necromancer, as an aura, instead of just remaining where they were cast. This will allow us, with effective playing, to keep an enemy player within our wells for the full duration, increasing the effectiveness of the currently lackluster power builds.
