CAUTION: Opinion piece incoming

When you go to the store and look in the BLTC store you see the three main armor skins for each armor type.

Primeval (Heavy):
When I saw this armor I was instantly like, “Wow that is kitten.” You get to look like a big (unless you are Asuran), scary knight that should not be messed with at all. It made me wish I was a Warrior or Gaurdian.

Krytan (Medium):
This armor is also pretty cool, the skulls and bones that cover the armor make for an interesting display. Not to mention the mask which looks awesome. If I mained a medium class I would buy it.

Profane (Light):
Ok… for me this was the let down. You have the other two awesome skins and then… you have a power ranger. Seriously though, was this supposed to look awesome? Because in my opinion, it doesn’t. It looks horrible, I mean ask yourself, what kind of Necromancer/Mesmer/Elementalist would dress like that? Definitely not mine. Did the design team just get bored or something because this looks terrible.

But seriously, this was a disappointment to me as I like my light armor classes and seeing that skin just makes me want to bash my head against a wall. Compared to the others and also a lot of other light armor in the game, its crap, plain and simple.

But… there is always a but. Since this armor was originally in GW1 I don’t see it going anywhere. So maybe when Anet comes around to making more skins, please make a better light armor skin please.

I think the problem is that you’re a Charr caster.
It doesn’t look so bad on other races.

But I agree ANet could’ve been a little more creative.

I have to agree with you, I found that skin to be atrocious, I would rather transmute the lvl 1 white/basic armor skin to my exotics than THAT skin.

I don’t actually play Char I play an Asuran, the reason that I used that picture is because it was one of the better ones I could find. And yeah it also looks bad on Asurans

Transumting to lvl 20 crafted light armor (I love the scarf around my middrift as a charr, pants even comes with a tail hole)

I have to agree; the skin for light armor is simply horrible. I cannot picture using it on any of my characters. But then again, I also think there should be more ‘feminine’ choices as well; the ones currently in the shop are too masculine for my taste.

It’s actually an assassin skin from GW1.

The female one IIRC is a lot better, it’s the better necro armour from phrophecies.
