Alright, now to first get started let me state this: some of these suggestions, if not all, may have already been posted, however I just want to put in my personal thoughts on some things.
Second, before anyone starts trying to hammer at Roleplaying, I’m not just stating this for roleplayers only because it is an MMORPG and for these people, take note of the last three letters. There ought to be a little more in the game, I believe, to cater to the RPG aspect and a little more on the RP.
Also, some of these suggestions may have been in GW1 and may be planned however, again these are my personal thoughts on what suggestions might enhance the RP aspect.
First Suggestion: Can we get interactive chairs and seats and such? Being able to sit down on a park bench now and then would be nice instead of either sitting on the ground/floor or awkwardly sitting on top of the chair so that my body ends up inside of it.
Second Suggestion: Can we get interactive doors? For those of us that conduct RP outside of a tavern, such as guilds who want private meetings, we would like more open buildings along with more active doors we can open and close. This is not just DR but many places (New Ascalon, and other settlements) Also, most like not just for humans. I’m sure other people who play other races feel this way as well.
Third Suggestion: This one is more guild oriented and I’m sure it is most likely already planned but in case it is not: Guild Halls. Instanced places where only members of the guild could be given access. Places that are customizable with furniture, locations, buildings, NPCs’ etc.
Fourth Suggestion: Mounts. No, I don’t mean fast mounts to try and take over waypoints (though I would prefer it, I know it won’t happen.) I mean the mounts like the one of the witch’s costume’s broom. Where you walk at pretty much normal running speed. This would be nice with a Moa or Horse, or Dolyak, etc. I think it’d be fun and entertaining.
Fifth Suggestion: The Halloween event was interesting. I enjoyed most of it. What I did not enjoy however were the Halloween items (the permanent models and the temporary four hour ones) What I mean by this, is that the permanent items cost a lot to make. Let me say something first; this is a game that focuses on players’ enjoyment as they level rather than endgame content. Keep that in mind for this part: why then have temporary Halloween event items and have the permanent items at level 80? Its not the cost issue that bothers me necessarily, even if I can’t personally buy it. It was the fact that for a game that preaches about level balancing, they implement event items at maximum level. Perhaps cut the level next time. And for anyone wondering, yes I do have a level 80. Just my thoughts.
Sixth Suggestion: Waypoint costs. No, I am not stating to remove them altogether (Although I really don’t think there is any point of having to pay for them) but I do believe that if you die, then you should not have to pay for a waypoint to revive. I think that is a little unfair especially with damaged items.
Seventh Suggestion: Town clothes. I want more, and so do many other people. I also do not like the fact that when you take damage in the clothes, it automatically switches to your armor. I think this should be a toggle option because I’ve run around in DR in town clothes, jumped off something, took damage, and then had to switch back. Its a minor annoyance, but it seems a little unnecessary to have. Now, I also enjoy the Halloween town clothes, even to the extent I would like them as an actual armor however they can’t be transmuted with actual armor so far as I know or skinned over the armor like the primeval.
Eighth Suggestion: As a heavy armor wearer, it makes me rather sad that I have only so many armor choices of armor to wear. I’m sure this goes out to those who can only wear light and medium armor as well. I think if I can wear heavy armor, I could wear lighter armor as well, despite it not being near as effective. Or at least be able to transmute the models/skins a bit.
