Notes

- Please do not message me in-game for a commission slot. I am typically playing with my family and friends doing a dungeon, fighting world bosses, or screwing up the Queensdale Train (joking). If you message me, I have to interrupt our play time to tab out, check for an empty slot, and then take down your commission info and organize the piece. Please respect me as a fellow player and do not message me in game.

- Your piece will be on a transparent, solid, or gradient background of your choice at no extra cost C: (complex or detailed backgrounds and scenery are no longer a commission option)

- I will require at least half the payment once you approve the sketch, and the remaining total once you’re happy with the end product :) This is so you can pay it all up front if you want!

Well, I’ve been talking to my wife and actually we came up with an idea of “beauty and the beast” theme. And she said that she would love to get her ele (thats the first from the right on second attachment) plus my charr :-) Well, I know that you are afraid of their armor, but to be honest, your charr female on your template work looks astonishingly well , so I think you’ll manage :-)
To be quite frank, I may consider “undressing” him, I would prefer to make him wild, savage and feline If i had a choice :-)
Sadly, there’s no heavy armor like that so I gave up on that idea, but it may work for a portrait.
I’m thinking about something in the line of almost naked, sitting charr holding loosely his twilight and my wife’s ele in some sort of “battle-casting spell” pose.
I think that may work for an initial idea.
I’m not sure that we will follow that path, but… well, I want to hear your opinion on that matter first :-)

A beauty and the beast theme would be fun! And I’m totally ok with doing the charr and his armor It’s just if you’re giving me the choice, they wouldn’t be my first pick. But of course I’ll draw them!

Did you want them interacting with each other or as two separate images? If they’re together and interacting, I’ll half the price of one of them, but if they’re separate, I’ll have to charge you full price for both.

I did a (really bad) rough sketch of what I am kind of looking for, basically, my character standing on the grassy/rocky plain, looking up at the sky to her left, while holding the foefire’s essence in one hand (if you could keep the particle effects of my foefire and fractal capacitor, that would be great)(if you could keep the blue/white colours of the hair and armour (blue eyes) that would also be great XD), with the tip resting on the ground, next to a shallow-ish stream which slinks its way back to the snow-peaked mountain range in the background, some foliage closer in, but mostly grassy/rocky ground until forestry near the base of the mountains. A bright day (or darker, I don’t mind), blue/dark blue sky, with some cloud’s hanging around the mountains.

The more Majestic it feels, the better! =p

The proportions and size of my sketch are pretty bad, smaller character and larger background would be nicer, and if you could keep the resolution to something around 1920*1080 or 1280*720, just so that I can use it for my wallpaper. ( I don’t mind paying extra for this as well)

I don’t mind how long it would take to create, or how much gold you would want for it (full body 35g+background 20g+foefires essence/fractal capacitor/particle effects 15g+20g? for 1080p wallpaper size) how’s 100g sound? if you are willing and able to do It of cause :-)

Wow, this sounds really interesting and fun! I’d love to work on this for you! I can certainly keep the resolution to a desktop background size, no extra cost. I can make it work, I think! I took a look at your sketch and I like the concept so if you don’t mind, I’m going to mess with the composition a bit and come up with a couple small thumbnails for you Do you mind if I fiddle with the pose a bit? I may end up going back to the one you have drawn, but I’d like to see what other possibilities there are for making her more majestic (10 points to Gryffindor for using my favorite word, btw).

That depends entirely on what non-in game clothes you want, and if you have references for the clothes. I technically don’t have any available slots but my third slot is in limbo right now from someone who didn’t read my above text and messaged me in game, so I’m inclined to give you their slot if they don’t get in touch with me today. Also would you want a full body, waist up, or bust shot of your character?

I’ve been thinking of the drawing for me and I came up with slightly refreshed idea.
I can’t do any sketch since to say that I’m horrible at drawing is like saying “oh there is a couple of people that live in New York”. Yes, that is the right scale.
So what I’ll try do is to explain you my new vision.

It goes as follows. We have 2 characters. My wife’s elementalist and my Charr warrior. And they are about to take up fight. Whom they are gonna fight is irrelevant – we won’t see the enemy on the picture anyways. Elementalist is on the first plan (she is smaller, prettier, she is a woman and she is my wife’s character – that is more than enough reasons to put her up front). She is prepared to cast the spell. She is focused, confident and deadly yet beautiful, proud and lofty. So Ideally I would like you to catch these 2 aspects of her – Pride, confidence and beauty, if possible.
And Charr is fierce, wild and beastly but loyal to her – he is going to protect her at all cost. At the same time he does what wild animals do – he is trying to scare his enemies by all means possible – He screeches, roars and barks and he spread his arms to make an impression that he is bigger than he is. (something along the line of elite warrior signet effect).
They both hold weapons – Ele has this folding, purple staff (forgotten the name of it) and Charr has his Twilight (if I want to show off) or his “skully” hammer (which suits character way better with all of this skulls on pauldrons, gloves and skull necklace that comes with my model).

I’m also thinking of adding some simple background – I can’t resist once I saw how good you are at it. But I don’t need anything super fancy – I may totally follow your suggestion here – whatever you think may work.

Oh, one more thing – It is just suggestion, if you don’t like it for whatever reason we may come up with anything else.

I would also like to know how much will you charge me for all of that – but please be easy on me, I’m not that rich :-)

No, I really like the idea and I actually think I have some simple compositional things I could make work (: However, due to my sheer workload at school right now, I’ve removed the option for full backgrounds. Unless you meant a simple patterned background. Give me a bit to finish the first two slots and I’ll get some gesture sketches uploaded for you! Could you potentially get me some more screen shots of the two characters you want done? Just a side, front, and a close up of each would be perfect.

a) I upload more screenshots once I’m back home and I’ll get my hands on my desktop again. That would be saturday. (unless I die some horrible death before I get home).
b)I’m not in terrible rush. So if you simply need more time for the background I don’t mind waiting. Just tell me roughly how long :-) A week? Two weeks? A month?
c)On the other hand, if you would prefer to do it simple way, I’m ok with that – In the end it is me asking you for your work, not the opposite. And beggars are not chosers :-)
In that case anything that remotely resembles background would be fine.
A wall in a cave? A plain grassland with a clouded sky at night? A desert and a blue sky? A beach at the seashore? (Where she sells sea shells). That will do if you are busy :-) I would just prefer that than to have them in a vacuum, if you know what I mean :-)

On the side note – I hope I’m making myself qute clear, English isn’t my first language :-)

For the future reference – I think uploading here is fine – especially that everyone may see your work, but it may affect original resolution, so sending it via e-mail as well is the best option I guess.
And thats a lovely job on Askeptykal toon (you might upload all of the artwork of your sylvari in one thread at some stage, there is a nice collection of it already :-))

As for my character – you may find this video slightly helpful – it is terribly outdated but my Charr remained the same :-)

Yea, I was actually just about to open it back up. I wanted to log in and see if my waiting slot had gotten back to me, but I won’t be getting refs for that until later tonight). What were you looking to get?

A bust of my female norn nose-kissing/nuzzling her griffon mini on a plain parchment yellow background. I’ve got a gesture sketch of it that I’ll upload with the screens and other details. That would be 25g, correct?

EDIT: Added screens. Let me know if you need more of the griffon or Fastvi.

Now for the important things. I was hoping to make this wallpaper for my computer, so if you could do something in 1280 × 800, that would be rad.
For the pose I would like pretty much what I have sketched, though minor things can be played with (placement of the griffon’s tail, her expression, etc.). I would like Fastvi’s hair down, with the little braided/corded parts of her in-game hairstyle included tastefully. Her part is on the side, over the eye that is farther from the viewer. I would like her neck tattoos to show above her armor more, so if you could move them up a tad from their in-game placement that would be great. I would like her to be wearing the armor pictured in the upper left and lower right of the first attachment (vigil shoulders, draconic chest and gloves).
For the griffon, you can make it look like a toy or more like a real griffon, the choice is yours. Regardless, I do not want the collar included at all—bare neck only please!
For the overall picture, I was going for more of an orange/copper than a brown look for the armor/griffon. Also, you don’t have to make Fastvi as busty as the character model is. I was looking for a more pear-shaped body type… but apparently norn aren’t built that way.

I think that’s it. Let me know if I’m being too picky, haha. :)

Alright, so here’s whats going on. I’ve dealing with a -lot- of stuff in my personal life right now and I’m pretty stressed out. So I’m officially closing my commissions here until further notice. If you already have a slot, or a waiting slot, I will finish your commission and get that to you as soon as I am able. I will not take new commissions as the slots open and will not accept any new commissions until my life settles down. I hope you all understand.

I totally understand, take as long as you need to draw mine once you get to it, or hold it off till later if you have to.

Alright guys, good news! I’ve sorted out the problems that arose in my personal life so I’m going to be getting commissions back on track (: My college lets out early (April, as opposed to May like most schools) so I also get to have my spring break early. That, luckily, starts this coming Tuesday. So I’m dedicating this break to finishing up the current group of commissions!

I sincerely apologize for the long wait, especially to those who had paid me before this all went awry. But don’t fret! I will get back on track with your commissions as soon as I can!
