I’ve made some Tyria-inspired digital paintings and thought I should share them with the community.
I’m a self-taught artist, so my works are far from being perfect. Any feedback is appreciated!

I would love to give you constructive criticism, but I think you nailed it. Love the Charr one the best.

Asura is a comic relief race. Basically a walking TV trope. I can see what people like in them but I’m not impressed by them myself. Besides I’ve stopped playing GW2 a few weeks ago.

Another female necro. I tried to make her look like a graphic novel character. Or something equally impressive. It didn’t work out. Oh well. Negative result is a result too.

I try not to spend more that a few hours on one character, thus the overall sketchiness. Going into too much unnecessary detail is my vice, and I’m getting rid of it.

Honestly, while it may not be as crisp as your others, I feel that it works perfectly for the character. Though it seems like the art portrays her more as an elementalist than a necromancer. The sketchiness reminds me of the art-style of the backgrounds during Personal Story cutscenes too. >w>

I agree with bunnytheswordsman, it does remind me of the sketchiness ANet uses. Maybe if the spell coming out of her hand was green, as necros spells are green, would it look more necro? Either way it looks good.

I really want to work in computer or table-top game industry some day. Heck, I would gladly work for food there.

Visiting this thread is always a treat. I’m impressed by how you try out new things, and how well your work resembles the in-game characters while still maintaining the overall style of the painting.
