Even with this new arena coming in, GvG scene in NA went from extremely active to more or less non existent after the orb buffs – those are more less negligible now, but don’t really see any active GvGs happening regularly like they use to.

I think there are only a handful of guilds that actually GvG and pursue competition and lots of guilds that will probably only GvG guilds they know they can beat.

Im pondering doing a GvG showdown update, but rly there is little to mention, albeit important. I might do it anyways.

It would be awesome to see another episode and continue the revitalization of the GvG scene. Your episodes are a huge part of why the GvG expanded since it brought so much more attention to things. Not as many people check this forum section anymore, but I’m sure as more people hear you’re considering another episode, you’ll get a ton of support. Let us know if you need anything from recent matchups to scores to videos or anything, people would definitely support it if you chose to make another one.

During the FoM stream mods were ferocious with deleting posts/banning participants whenever anything regarding “GvG” appeared in chat. This is really sad to see and is a reminder that trolling the twitch streams just does not work, all you get from that is griefing other people who are trying to have any kind of reasonable conversation/question in future stream chats.

It was also exceptionally bad for Anet image to act like that so if you flashmob guys were after it – good job well done.

As someone on one of the bigger GvG servers, I don’t see this at all. Each gold league match I’ve seen 4 or 5 GvG’s a week between the three servers, and all of the native Maguuma gvg guilds (Ark, PYRO, VR) doing weekly GvG’s. That’s about the same amount we saw per week before the orbs.

Like Jericho said before, they just aren’t being submitted to gw2gvg as official at the moment.

Also @Ogre I’d like to see some Ark vs AGG, PYRO vs EP, and maybe one of the EP vs Agg rematches.

In Silver league it’s a GvG fest after primetime. Sometimes even GvGs on all the borders…

I can’t but say that GvG numbers are increasing rapidly. Lots of guilds trying to shape up for the arena.

What is nice that we have lots of guilds condensed in silver league (dunno how’s golden league standing from that point tho…) so always someone to cross swords.

ONE is wicked good. It was fun, and a definite learning experience.

We have been having a minor numbers issue lately, and basically had to work with what we had as far as comp (Only had 17 online). We are learning from our errors, and will come back stronger!

Honestly, a good hard punch (hammer?) in the face from time to time keeps people humble, and makes them sort of take a step back and learn from it. Kind of like throwing a bucket of cold water on someone to wake them up.

They were very good fights! Looking forward to many more

The struggle is real. A lot of GvG guilds are having a tough time maintaining raiding numbers, having to do 15v15 or 10v10s for GvGs instead of 20v20s. We are struggling with numbers as well. There really is not much incentive for WvW players that have played since launch to remain hardcore WvW players anymore. GvGs are fun, but it’s imperative for the health of rosters to maintain quality raid nights to keep player interest up.

ONE would love to keep doing GvGs, but we can’t deny the fact that many guilds are in similar positions where we just don’t know who is going to be online anymore for spontaneous or even organized GvGs.

GvG arena is coming out this month! stay optimistic NA and ride the wave! we all know many guilds are struggling but the best thing you can do is come out and just have fun on your raid nights!
