Well Rethesis and CO are good friends so its more than just the PPT and stuff like that. Also DB does not have a strong oceanic. We have a strong SEA and good NA. I highly doubt RE would go to TC or FA. From our previous talks they are either looking at DB or Tier 1. This is based off our precious conversation. Their minds could have changed.

Please come to SOR as we have the best NA community here. Our communication between maps is impressive and we are the least stacked out of T1 and T2 servers but it is our superior intelligence and organization that make us the true #1 NA. We have no queues in any maps 24/7 especially during NA prime time, so I guess you guild dont have to wait for queues like BG and JQ does. We basically roll BG and JQ ’s 80 man zerg with our elite 20 man zerg. An addition of another NA would greatly help us to dominate T1 even more.

Sounds like BG / JQ could do with RE on their side to help fight against your ‘elite’ 20 man zerg.

I seriously suggest that you move to JQ. As weird as this sounds, they really need the help.

I’d recommend sending scouts to JQ. They could use an extra NA guild to keep a foothold in 1 more BL.

Yep, it is possible to get into a high population server although it’ll be harder to transfer 350+ people at the same time so it might take days maybe weeks to transfer the whole guild

The “Full status” doesn’t mean anything.

BG is going from full to very high for about 5 minutes every 6-12 hours. No full servers are dropping to very high for more than 5-10 minutes.

FA/JQ are the best choices. Both servers could use help in the NA time slot. The other T1/2 servers are doing just fine.

I lolled. Do your research mate. SOS doesn’t have ANY sea guilds.

Also if they had made their mind up I doubt they would be posting a topic in the forums and I doubt even more if they would appreciate you “announcing” their decisions for them.

Cant really expect much more from bandwagonbrand though.

Hi Ethersin and RE....Not sure if you remember us in TVB...but we have found a great home and excellent fights on FA. You’d be surprised how welcome your guild would be here...on and off the map. From my personal experience, FA could really us a guild like RE here with your type of leadership. Outmanned means nothing, FA fights HARD. We have had some of the BEST fights our guild has experienced in a long time here on FA.

PLUS...DB has a guild with the RE tag...:)

RE, you guys will be of great help no matter where you end up – I had a great time in your guild when I was on KN. I’m sure that if you choose DB (as some KN transfers have done), you won’t follow in the footsteps of other transfer guilds and talk a bunch of smack. You guys are too classy for that. :-)

I’ll just throw this out there in case you guys are thinking lower tiers. NSP needs just that one more big guild to lift us up. We are a talented server, but it just has become a numbers and coverage game. You will meet lots of commanders who are willing to work together and we have a server vent to communicate with. I am only a leader from a guild of 60, but there are a lot of small guilds that bind together.

On our PvE side we have organized temple runs every day and lots of guilds are willing to help with missions and dungeons.

My erstwhile companion covers this quite succinctly as it is, but SEA guilds? You mean the two PvE ones or the sole PvX one? Or perhaps you’re just referring to a couple of the random 5-man guilds.

I would have thought anyone on DB would remember that our strength is Oceanic, not really SEA. We may be far from shabby in SEA, but that’s due to strong militia and good commanders, not actual guilds. I have to wonder if your information might be just slightly in error. This is, however, besides the hanging question of what use would DB have for more SEA? It’s already undeniably the strongest SEA presence outside of T1 and you wouldn’t have many confident bets if you did match it up against any of the T1 worlds.

I’m quite happy to sit down and chat with anyone who’d like more information about SoS as a world and to meet the community, with a view to a potential move. We have made no secret in the past about our desire to recruit, particularly for NA, with a view to slotting into T3. With the new matchup changes, we’re still keen to move up somewhat in rating to avoid regularly facing hideously mismatched opponents as our Oceanic strength is too much for the worlds even in our current tier (sadly for them and us, we regularly average 500-600+ppt during that time of day).

Outside of the usual things that every world will cite as if they don’t come as standard, I suppose the primary thing we have to offer as a world is our low-pressure, relaxed attitude to WvW. We’re more interested in being in a match which is challenging and fun rather than anything else and we do as well as we do simply through the entire community pitching in and working together.

We would welcome you guys to Dragonbrand! As Mayo have mentioned, we still have some areas that we could improve in our NA primetime, and you guys would be a lot of help in that area. DB is not a Kain 2.0 that came all the way from T8 as most people are saying. We have experienced ups and down from mid tier to lower tier, yet we have persevered and became stable in T3. This server has core WvWers that didn’t come in quick massive influx like it was in Kaineng. We play to have fun, and at the same time to stay competitive in WvW!

Also, don’t worry about the server’s full status. If BT can squeeze in to Blackgate, I don’t think you guys will have trouble transferring to Dragonbrand

Well said, DB was well on it’s way to T2 before we got a few more guilds and now we are a solid red/blue T2 server. The time we need players the most is during NA. We are outmanned most of the time during this time slot.

I suppose it all depends on what you are looking for in WvW. Do you want to go where it’s easy, or where you can make a real change? Northern Shiverpeaks is the kind of server that has lost a lot of guilds and has very little coverage, so we’d love a new transfer. But it’s not going to be easy playing with us. We have a good community, but we’re always the underdog.

Aw, RE is moving? Why not wait it out and see what the new ranking system will be? Either way, good luck to your guys!

Someone told me it was 1800 gems to transfer. And 100 gems is 3g. So 54g per person to transfer x 350 players = 18900g, right?

I’m one of the guild leaders on JQ and I’d be willing to take some time in game to run you through what our server can offer you and to see how you fit into the potential for the server. As others have said, we are somewhat lacking in NA right now so you would definitely be a welcomed addition to the JQ family. We’ve been a T1 server since forever, it’s been months since we spent a week in T2. If stability is what you want, our history shows that we can offer it.

BG. DB or FA if you want to stick around Tier 2. Tier 1 wise, BT made BG their new home and it’s been good thus far. JQQ and SoR zergs everywhere, more fights, more fun.

I do truly feel bad for guilds like NNK, EA, BP and TG etc they had such a good repuation with them and dragonbrand did have one of the best reputations out of any server, until all Agg, CO etc moved in.

What’s even worse is when going gets tough these guilds will be the first to leave no questions answered.

Here is my take.

SoR has a huge NA population. They don’t need anymore help.
BG is a full server who could use NA help but good luck getting in.
JQ is also a full server who could use some NA help but again good luck getting in.
DB has had a ton of guild transfer to it. Good guilds. Not sure they need the help
TC is full.
FA is a pvp server who needs another organized large guild to come in and help keep them in competative in T2.

I would goto FA out of all of those. FA also has a great community which I miss.

WIth the new matchup system tiers are going to be a bit meaningless and rankings are going to move all over the place. Guilds thinking of moving should find a server that has the community that suits them rather than looking at just who is currently in T1, T2 and so on. WvW gameplay in mid-tiers is different to the superstacked T1 servers, and some worlds have more PvE/PvX guilds.

Personally I would wait for a week at least to see how the new matchup system pans out before making a decision to move.
