Well, I went back to fractals only to be kicked in the Jimmies again. I haven’t seen a skin if ascended chest since LA was back to operational. Kitten, I haven’t even seen a ring in well over a week. It just isn’t worth it.

The last 5 runs, most of which were above lvl 30, yielded no ascended items. Not even garbage rings.

Got another chest of ascended healer boots today. So from my recent memory aka last 20-30-whatever high fractal runs i got 4 chests of useless healer stuff, 1 skin, and 0 zerk drops. fffffffffffffS

i only can play the weekends. 2 lvl 50 fractals and got nothing, i guess the next few years i will get the fractal skin that i want.

would it not be much more simple if we asked(a lot and often) Anet for the drop rates, it is quite easy for them to get them and we might get it some days, because with such low drop rates from chests on fractal weapons and ascended chests, hundreds and even thousand of iterations will not be enough to give us a proper estimation of the drop rate, while Anet could easily simulate millions of iterations.

Out of 13 chests i got 11 healers, and 3 out of 4 weapons with healing.

Could i be just unlucky?

You’re unlucky. Most chest drops in our guild are defenders.

It’s called RNG: out of 5 armor chests I got 1x raider’s shoulders, 1x defender’s coat and 3x raider’s boots.
Same for weapon skins (11 in total): 3x sword, 3x speargun, 2x trident.

You’re unlucky. Most chest drops in our guild are defenders.

That suggest rng doesn t work.
Even if we get someone dropping only offensive or malicious.

Probably the perfect drop rate (not too rare but rare enough to be a grind….)

2 weeks could involve up to 42 chests that could drop a Fractal Weapon Skin. To see 42 chests would require ~31.5 hours to 84 hours of continual fractal playing.

If he only did a level 41-50 daily and only saw 14 chests and got three skins then the investment in time was a lot less, but still substantial, very likely in the range of 14-28 hours.

Regardless – very few people see that many fractal skins in a two week period – so it is either very good luck or he has invested ~3-6 hours a day for 14 straight days into getting them.

I play fotm daily (before patch 2+ daily runs usually 40 and 50).
I don t see a skin since a month and since fractured i saw a couple.

Have ANet even acknowledged this topic/issue? You’d think with this thread’s size we’d have gotten a response by now. I guess the lack thereof speaks for itself; no plans to make drops more frequent or skins attainable some other way.

Fractured, the worst patch. Where is the fractal weapon chest? at least with that we can choose the skin.

It finally happened…..the tonic dropped! Took me like 5-6 months of fractal 49/50 but it was worth it! (It dropped on lvl 50)

I think the point is I have spent 30-40 hours doing fractals with 0 progress towards the skin I want and absolutely nothing to show….. How many people making their legendaries or ascended weps etc. can say the same thing? I’m also sure there are people in the same situation as me with hundreds of hours…….

Thats exactly what u gotta do. Forget fractal weapons for now until something is changed and make a legendary! The more u try the more you start to resent gw2 cuz of this rng. And the resentment only grows when you see low lvl fractal runners getting the weapons you want even tho u spent so much time in fractals(good for them but sux for u). I spent many more hours than u trying to get certain weapons and the luck it takes is just not worth it. After about 2 months i am along the way of makign my legendary quip and should be finished with it in about a month. :]

Nope! You only get those when you have no need for them. That is the rule of fractal rewards.

Sadly, you’re right. I remember how much I wanted to get that Vine of the Pale Tree while I was still in the 1-19 scale. Then I got it and it felt so good … then I got another 4 sigh.

Guys I´m even surprised that someone still plays fractals. Everytime I open LFG panel there are like 2 groups doing lvl 10, 1 group doinf lvl 20 daily and if I am lucky theres one group doing lvl 38 which has the worst conditions (mistlock instability) from all levels :-D

1) how can I safely remove AR from my ascended gear? Nobody´s doing fractals anymore and those versatile infusions are just waste of slots fr my guard now. Any way? Gem store remover of some kind? I want to have intact ascended gear and versatile infusion as final result if possible.

2) or another thing: is there some list of players doing fractals? lvl 40+. Weekends mainly if possible. If you know about some fractal guild or group, theres PM function in this forum you could use.

Versatile infusions are so cheap its not worth wasting an extractor on them. Just overwrite or leave them.

I’m on EU, fractals groups easily get filled when I open one (and I run daily). Just search swamp, open your lfg and wait a bit, usually won’t take long.

Also, lel’d at 38 having the worst instability.

Pretty much what Novaan said, I just ran 4 different fractal scales last night o:

Fractal 49-50 is possible only at peak hours even in the weekend and it takes lot of time to fill a group.
Fractal population dropped a lot…due mostly to Mai Trinn update.

The following rebalancing was not enough.
Many people happily got back into fractal when they changed dredge.
But Mai trinn change was really a punch in the face.
It just made people lose faith in the “dungeon team”.

And since rewards are still broken attempting at people fun is a worse mistake.

For once anet needs a long balancing works of stuff going against players….
Only then they can change workarounds and easy stuff.

-Example in Urban fractal, NPC still get stuck somewhere until you wipe.

-Harpies still can hit you when you can t hit them (invulnerable but oneshots the same).

-Same with molten fractal, and also the scaling is totally broken, trash mobs hits harder than any boss without even a tell (melee dagger attack for 14.000 is an example).

-in molten it still risks breaking if you enter the room before NPC afaik.

-Cliffside changes were only a DAMAGE to the game without adding anything.
Now you miss in front of the seal sometimes, spawning the infamous fanatics.

And REWARDS…..only healer chests with 0.0000000001%? worse than before.

I’m writing this completely trying to not sound like an annoying person saying gimme gimme. But … I’ve been farming for the fractal mace for about 18 months now and while its been fun doing fractals. I now have about 300 pristine fractal relic saved up and still no mace.

Can we please, like super duper pretty please with a cherry on top, have a pristine relic npc that we can trade for the weapons. Whether its 100, 200, 300 heck! 500!!! can i just have some light at the end of the tunnel?

People cried about not getting insect fossils on the forums; they changed the vendor so that people who didn’t want the fossil could change it in for 3 green instead of deleting it. Also hair style contracts are in BL chests for 2 weeks only so key farm it up boys!!!

Anet loves its RNG, I have little hope for fractals. :S

Well, one compromise is basically guarantee a fractal skin when you reach level 50.
