This is remarkably kind of you folks! I will admit that I was pretty frustrated when I killed KC twice during the time that this bug was active and didn’t get loot either time, especially when it killed my static’s raid night, but the issue was fixed quickly enough in the week that I didn’t consider it to be too devastating. That said, thank you guys so much for going out of your way to compensate us players even when you had absolutely no obligation to do so.

Thank you very much for this. My group is helping to teach another group that ran during that period, and everyone in the training group wanted to run just for the practice even knowing they likely wouldn’t get loot.

Now not only are they getting loot, they’re also getting a bit to help them gear more classes to improve their group on top of the practice they got as well. I am very, very pleased with this!

ty ty ty…. Balths approves… I killed VG, Gors, Sloth, Escort no loot the first kill. Killed VG, Gors, n Escort a second time around and got loot only on VG and Escort

While I appreciate the free gear bot and the random xmute shard…what we really got cheated out of was the LI, which for most is the main focus for raiding, as this bug set people back a week.

So why were Legendary Insights not included in this? Would gladly trade in the chest for my LI I would have gotten instead.

That’s nice of you guys, thanks. While we have your attention, could you possibly look at bugs on kc, cairn, and Samarog. Of those 3, I think there is wide consensus that kc is the most broken.

The LI comes from the loot chest. The issue with the bug was, if you didn’t get the loot chest, it didn’t trigger as a kill at all (the API would still show the boss as not killed).

The second thing is, it was fixed in 2 days. Enough time for a group to form up and full clear (or clear the bosses that were bugged) between Thursday to Sunday, and still get the missed LI.

If you chose to not raid at all that week, because of the bug, or weren’t able to, well … tough luck. There’s no way of knowing whether or not you actually killed a boss and got no loot (it didn’t trigger as a kill at all), or simply didn’t attempt that boss at all (in which case, you don’t deserve the loot).

It’s like christmas! Great compensation, I can defo use this gear for another build for raiding. As a starter in raids this is so helpful, a lot better then the real reward!

That’s a great move! I killed sabetha about 12 hours ago and did get anything. Not even the legendary insight. Funny thing is that she did not reset this week though I killed her last week. Meaning she wasn’t in my map when I opened the raid (after killing Vale guardian and gorseval)

So I didn’t get any LI from Macleod 2 days ago. So are you saying that if i just do it again I’ll get the missed LI?

Oh hey, a little update for your folks: This is a manual process and it was started about when I posted. However, it will take some time to finish up. By “manual” I mean that each account has to be sent an individual mail, it’s not something we can do as a mass distribution.

So please allow some time, and if you don’t see your mail for a day or so, don’t worry — we’ll get it there! Thanks for your patience!

I got a mail when I log in today as a surprised. thanks.. but you really don’t need to do that if it takes up so much time for dev and the team to do it especially doing it manually. I would accept apology and move on as work to progress the game is more important .. but thanks.. appreciate the effort.

and in my opinion. bug wise this is one mmo that contain the least bug compare to other mmo, I always hv my thumbs up to the dev team and their effort to keep the game up n going

As gaile posted above in this very thread it can take up to 1 day or even 2 mate. ( they are doing it by hand)

Very nice of you guys to go through the effort to send out individual mails to everyone who didnt get rewards. I haven’t gotten my mail yet but I am very excited for it!

No and they wont either since the compesation is a ascended armor box and transmutation charges.

So is the distribution done? Will there be a dev post update here when it is done so people know to stop waiting?

Maybe it goes without saying, but is the compensation only going to those who had bugged loot on kills during the time frame, or any group that completed kills during the time frame of the bug, whether they received any loot or not?

Same here, I downed the VG with no rewards (apart from a few lodestone shards) soon after the release and still haven’t got my mail though all my guildies (who didn’t have any reward problems) got their mail.

Agree that an update on this would be nice. Only person in our group who has received the rewards so far sent a ticket to support today and received them shortly after. I guess that’s an option for people who want them quickly.

Same situation here. No one from my raid group as gotten their mail, even though we killed many bosses on the 20th, after the patch.

My squad just killed Mathias on the day the patch went live. It was short after the ingame announcement of the new build, but the kill was in the old build and we encountered the loot bug. I hope me and the others from my Squad will get the mail.

If the North America team is sending those mails, I wouldn’t be surprised if all activity, and updates about it, will be quiet until Wednesday the 5th. Best just to settle in for a long wait now.

Myself and several others of my raid squad cleared all 4 wings on that Tuesday, but none of us have received the chest. Not the end of the world if we don’t get it, but the post did say everyone who raided would get one.

Is this still ongoing?

Can we get an update on if this is still ongoing or if we have to contact support if we have been missed ? I’ll rather not bug support for nothing.
