Maybe not the best pet name ever but I named my ranger’s snow leopard and her lynx Whispurr. For some reason I call my shark Sharpie.

My Jungle Stalker is called Hobbes. I’ve also got a Wild Boar called Stanley as he was always attacking things so “This is another fine mess you’ve gotten us into Stanley!”

I don’t name my land pets, because I change them too often, and names don’t stick, so I think it’s a bit pointless, but there are exceptions.

When I use a boar I always take a moment to name it “Oink” as a tribute to the most glorious walking bacon of all.

Also my water pets – 2 jellyfishes: One is called “Peanut Butter” and the other “Jelly Time”.

For those familiar with the show Trailerpark Boys might I suggest the name Gary Laser Eyes for a cat.

I have a bear named Fat because he is fat.

Shark named Flipper and a armored fish called Beauty.
And an on another ranger, a moa called Nameless and a spider called Silly, with the guild tag of [Pet]

My wolf is named Holo (from the anime spice and wolf – Holo the wise wolf)
My fernhound is named Hosenbodenbeißer (german for seat-biter)

(btw: im wondering if there will be a change that every petname will be steady…)

I have a norn ranger with:
Bear – Bearly There
Marsh Drake – Snuffles
Raven – Billie Birdface

I’m soooo bad at pet names XD

Not as bad as my son used to be though. We got a kitten with a white streak down it’s head and he suggested the name “Crackhead” XD… he was only 8 after all. Now he’s great at naming pets, such as the 2 rats he used to have, Bronson (Charles) and Waffles.

My main in GW1 was a ranger. I kept the Melandru’s Stalker pet I charmed for him right at the beginning of the game.

I remembered an old program called, “The Velvet Claw,” and was in a 50’s Rockabilly music phase so I named my pet, “Velvet Elvis.” I never changed pets. Made a point of charming all of the various HOM pet options on other characters so that the chain could remain unbroken for my main. If we can ever get pet names to stick in GW2 I wil use Velvet Elvis here as well. Until then I don’t bother to give names to pets who will lose them in short order anyway.

Hmm, why don’t pets keep their names? I find myself having to rename them quite often.

I laughed. I also once saw a ranger named Biscuits. His pet bear’s name was Gravy.

My ranger’s pet drake is called Rawr Ima Drgn Srsly. Stalker is Ima Meow U Up. I’m quite proud of these 2.

My snow leopard is called Stelmaria… maybe-not-so-obscure reference!!

So far Capt Pigard and Lawn Moa are my favs

I named my Brown Bear called " Yogi" and my Salamander Drake is " Spike"

I have a boar named Arnold Ziffel, older Green Acres fans will know Arnold a shark named Aqualung, again older folks who like Jethro Tull will know this and a wolf named Big Bad.

I’ve went with tons of names on my pets … I keep renaming them… but this is current

Cat – Im With Stupid

In GW1 I always had a pet moa named K F C or K F M and in this game I have a fern hound named Chef Salad

Since my ranger is named Wild Magikarp, it’s only fitting my pets also have Pokemon nicknames.
