Bring back obsidian armor plz

120 Ecto&&Obsi shards are eZ to get in gw2 tho :P

I could never understand the appeal of obsidian armour. (Unless you were playing a female ele and wanted simple trousers.)

Some of them looked ok but many of them I genuinely mistook for starter armour.

Personally I never cared for the Obby armor as much. I would much rather have HD versions of the Necrotic and Kurzick Elite.

Obsidian weapons WOULD be cool…but also most likely a BLT thing so…would likely never be able to get the ones I would want.

One problem with this request is there wasn’t one Obsidian armor, there were 10 Obsidan armors because Guild Wars 1 had a set of armor for each individual profession. So, which Obsidian armor are you referring to, as I don’t see them making all 10 sets for this game or the 6 or 7 most relevant ones.

Obsidian Armor

Well, since GW1 had effective armor weights (just not explicit), they’d have to pick three of the armors:
One of Warrior and Paragon
One of Ranger, Assassin or Dervish
One of Monk, Elementalist, Mesmer, Necromancer or Ritualist

Either way, I have a feeling whatever they picked, people would be upset they left out their favourite.

My warrior is rocking Obby armor, I really enjoyed doing UW and FoW to get it. I’d be happy if the heavy set was the warrior look heavy from GW1.

The mesmer version please Also, more mesmer armor in general (they also wear pants!)

Plus, I would like the elite kurzick armor for assassins back. Actually, really anything without a trenchcoat would do at this point.

My vote goes to the Elite Kurzick armor (the warrior that is) :-p loved that one. Had a sort of Dark Knight vibe over it.

I can somehow see them porting in the Ranger set and then deciding it also needs giant linebacker shoulder pads as well because it’s just not medium armor without them for reasons.

Blueberry: More like Dark Lord. It was very much like the armor Sauron was wearing in the Fellowship.

+1 for female elementalist obsidian armor. Really liked it in GW1

I don’t mind the butt capes, but ya, it needs a butt cape. A gigantic trench coat would be even better though.

Now you just need to pick from either spikes or feathers and you just made Arena Net’s next gem store outfit!

Seriously though, I love a lot of the old armour sets (weapons too) and we do need some to return, just not just all as outfits. While they are at it they really should start looking into what works, what bothers people with their designs and normalising the armour/outfit between race/gender.

I’m thinking we can cut out the middleman and just glue some obsidian shards to the Mist Walker armor and call it a day.
