-commander book speculation – perhaps the ability to put targets/objectives on the map
-extra supply passive ability will be HUGE. Curious to see the other options

He mentioned orange swords. I believe the white swords will still show.
You can still see if a keep/tower or what ever is being attacked since you wont be able to use a waypoint there, or you will see the normal white swords on the keep/tower.
You only wont know which side of the keep is being attacked tho.

Not necessarily – just keep an eye for white swords. Most of the time (as it is now), it’s NPC’s getting pve’d. Now we need to send a scout and it could be anything from Quaggans to a 20-man guild group.

I hope the orange swords change will make guilds actually stay near/in a keep they claimed with patrols and scouts and whatnot. That would be pretty amazing.
Also, the bleedcap is here to stay due to technical issues. They will say more on it later probably some made up “you shouldn’t hit it too often anyway” excuse.
So condition builds stay dead, meh. :/

I highly doubt it. Colin already stated a month or two ago that they only started planning the scavenger hunt, not building it. I wouldn’t expect it until after June.
Legendary armor, just like chaos gloves (BUT FOR YOUR WHOLE BODY)

-legendary dyes which provide several effects, like footprints, shinies, reflections, e.t.c.
-legendary minipets which are minipets with several effects
-legendary townclothes – very detailed and worthwhile townsclothes
-legendary gems/sigils, which provide extra boosts

The kitten, AC redesign? That’s the one and only dungeon that is decentish and servers it purpose (being newbie friendly). What they should be looking at is the tank and spank bosses in HoTW and CoF p1 and apparently Arah Simin path since people acctually get denied form that due to being necros or rangers >.>

Well they did say that they would make it more fun and interesting. If it’s anything like fractals (which they pointed out), then that’s a good thing since it’ll leave a good impression on newbies on dungeon design.

The way they worded it in MMORPG.com’s interview was far different: “Effectively, this system allows guilds to literally create content across the world for everyone to experience. When one of these missions is created, often times you’ll see a banner with the guilds name and emblem that created the content.”
I don’t think restricting missions to Southsun Cove is going to be a particularly engaging or useful as recruiting tool for everyone, given that SSC is a level 80 zone that is fairly impossible to just “happen upon”.
Hope that’s not really an accurate interpretation of what was said – otherwise, that’s highly disappointing.

You should try path 3 CM, pretty easy even with pugs. I don’t recommend the other paths since they can be quite difficult to figure out.

That the trick get a group of 5 to decoy moments of less then 25. Any guild can pull this off with low numbers.
I very much doubt that guild missions will be limited to Southsun Cove only. I imagine he singled it out in the sense that he wants you to know there will now be some stuff to do in Southsun Cove.

Already have done CM paths (happened to be in a group with Mesmers who did stuff with portals). Its anything past CM I haven’t done yet, but will now have to try (at least once on each path to get achievements).

I love the idea of making the bosses in AC more Fractal-like. Hopefully this will be just the beggining and they will change others as well (TA tree at the end of each path, CoF path 1…) and make them more interesting.
I also like a lot the “Priority is resolving ways to get precursors” message… I would like to have more news about this before summer.

Sounds like the bean counters have targeted yet another farming location. Look for some mechanic that takes away any advantage to being leveled 80 there, downscaling not withstanding.
So THE PvP update is turning into a PvE update once again .
Oh yeah so now we have to force some people to guard the Keeps/Towers to make sure, that we notice a 24-Player-Zerg with superior rams or some golems because we won’t see the orange swords anymore…
And guess who will guard these tower: dedicated wvw players. Meanwhile the normal players still zerg around happily. It won’t stop zerging but it will encourage it because we can do a stealth attack with a zerg now!
I also don’t like the idea of WvW-Skills(i don’t like them since they were announced) because i don’t want so have a gap between dedicated WvW-players and new players(and i say that as someone who plays WvW a lot). In my opinion it shouldn’t matter how long you are playing WvW already. Everyone should be equal as long as he wants to help the server.
So i’m a little bit sceptic about these two point. I don’t have a problem with the other stuff, although the commander should realy be account-wide but i guess it’s ok for now…

Will make it more zergy. Zergs will be able to hide more easily. Send 50 to a keep, 20 take the door down quickly while 30 watch. 50 attack the keep lord. Boom, capped.

That is how it will work yes. The current limit is 6 players/creatures, whether that be 1v5, 2v4 or 3v3 or 2v2v2 etc

I can totally see this happening. The dedicated WvWers will be stuck in the towers, maybe on a rotation, being bored and doing skritt-all for most of the time, missing out on drops and badges, while zergers keep zerging. Seems perfectly fair, and balanced toward strategic play /sarcasm
I know ANet is trying to encourage people to think tactically with the Orange Sword removal, but like you, I suspect that it will only lead to more zerging (now stealth) in slightly smaller groups.
Hopefully, though, guilds will organize themselves enough to run smaller operations.
