Right guys can we get some UP TO DATE info on this server stuff?
I’ve just tried to join the evenings champ run and well aside from having every lang’ under the sun shouted at me and me not having a clue what was being said and what was wanted of me. and I’m sure the frustration of not understanding each other goes two ways here!
But the LAG OMG THE LAG!!!! my game crashed 6 times on Ulgoth the Modniir, 4 Times on scattererer and then I just went F this and quit. at least (and I hate I’m even saying this) on Star-wars the old republic you pic your native lang and a mega server exists with that area in mind so everyone at least understand each other, you can also change your instance to move to a more or less populated one and that is not to say SWTOR works perfectly because it doesn’t it is often unplayable due to MEGA lag! Now I hate to say it, but SWTOR works better then THIS mess that just mashes us all together and randomly kicks us to way points in the middle of combat OR just flat out lags us to death or crashes the game! GW2 was better then this! it worked just fine as it was, I can understand you might be trying to cut some costs and so on but this is just ridicules and will just cost you more money with loss of gamers.
FIX THIS PROBLEM NOW!!!

We were honestly fine before with guesting and proper dynamic event chains.
I really like the idea of megaservers on maps; having activity out there is great! However, not being able to select between megaservers is tiresome; it’s made playing with one’s friends a chore of grouping and ferrying – when it works. This system would work much better with a selectable district system such as from GW1 so we can all tell each other “Go to Metrica Province 3” and we all just select the third district of Metrica and voila! All together, no muss no fuss.
Selectable districts would also solve a lot of the issues that are being had with subgroups, such as communities that speak languages other than English and roleplayers, if they just knew amongst themselves to aim for a specific district so as to find people who are playing the game in the same manner of socialization as they are.
We were honestly fine before with guesting and proper dynamic event chains.
I agree
They just updated the list. No Mount Maelstrom, which is absolutely megaservered. I just did golem, and there were people from every “server” there. I did do worm, and metrica wasn’t mega server. Whaat’s going on?
What happened to “metrics” and “community feedback?”
The language issue is kind of a problem. I personally like the idea of cities actually mixing different cultures together. But since most people talk in map chat it doesn’t help too much.
If you could have more bank areas/crafting stations/etc. so that people could converge in multiple areas and use /say chat, it could be a workaround. But it wouldn’t be what people are asking for.
From another thread, you say you’re getting feedback for the developers. How can you be, when you’ve implemented megaservers in virtually every map? What happened to taking in community feedback and metrics?
My 2 cents towards european megaservers and their current implementation:
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a server and a community, whose teamwork may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a guild, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the ANet came down to see the community and the teamwork, which the children of men builded.
6 And the ANet said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
8 So the ANet scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the community.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Megaserver; because the ANet did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the ANet scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Please why do we need to destroy main servers and all the pluses that came with them? First off Orr was awesome because it felt like a living breathing map where our actions mattered, i.e. being able to clear the Temple of Balthazar and affect the other maps. Or opening dungeon doors or doing bosses at our own server times.
Why can’t we just have the megaserver BE one of the main servers and then make it an OPT IN. Or to ensure it stays full, bring everyone to the megaserver by default but let them travel back to their main server if they prefer. Perhaps some people don’t like having to deal with a busy chat full of trolls? Or if you use a waypoint that is uncontested on your main server (but contestable in the megaserver) then you get dumped in the main map and can then choose to go to the megaserver if you want?
I haven’t played since the patch, but will probably log in tonight. I am posting because after reading through this thread I wanted to speak up for people such as myself who just want to go out into the world and adventure. The low populations out there really made that a lot less fun and is the main reason why I haven’t logged in for a while. In fact I came to this thread to see the progress of the role out since I don’t want to log in until I can see the effects of the higher populations.
As for the issues caused by the megaservers it seems like the root of the problems seem to be that players want to group themselves by characteristics that the megaserver sorting algorithm doesn’t have access to. The user interface should allow the player to explicitly state these grouping preferences which the algorithm can use to make better choices. For a start I’d add the following two options.
When I read the blog post about the Megaserver, I liked the idea. I thought it was cool. And I still think it has pros and cons, but… this system won’t work in Europe. Period.
I think it’s great for US servers. Almost all people there speak the same language. In Europe, we have people from a lot of countries, with different languages and so on. I agree that not all of them speak english and I also agree that there are lots of people who do speak english… BUT I chose Baruch Bay for a reason. I don’t like having to speak english all the time in mapchat or reading things in german, most of which I cannot understand. It’s awkward. It’s annoying. It’s discouraging.
It feels like being permanently stuck in a overflow… This morning I logged in Rata Sum and found myself reading only german in mapchat. I miss my spanish fellows…
The megaserver is kitten, my guild usually has 120-200 people on every night and we usually run all the world events in a train so we can all get loot. Now it splits our guild up into 6 different maps for things like shatterer. I really wish they would have gone with the original plan of testing it on starting zones first to see how it would handle world events like maw or fire ele, but now we have it on maps like shatterer I don’t know all the maps that it’s on but i HOPE it wouldnt be in sparkly fen or bloodtide simply because the bosses that spawn there actually do take coordination and are not getting killed with pug players, I get that it was to help the leveling process seem not so isolated, and I don’t pretend to know anything about programming or running a company, but you guys are throwing out megaservers and I’m still just sitting here wishing I could evade out of my ranger’s sword 1 auto-attack chain.
Instead of overflow and home world maps, players will now simply end up in the map that makes the most sense for them, depending on their social environment (party, guild, home world, and more).
I can’t speak/read/write German or French, yet I’m being consistently put on maps with other players that speak it as their first language. How is this “making the most sense” for me? I don’t want to have to say “Hey, I can’t understand you can you speak English please” because it seems like everyone else is fine with it.
I’m trying my best, but as a disabled player I’m finding this very disheartening and upsetting.
The Megaserver isn’t pairing people as it’s supposed to. Or maybe it is, but we were told differently. The construct of it may work for NA, where both US citizens and canadians speak the same language, but it’s a chat nightmare in EU. Was running to Orr on my fresh 80 mesmer tonight and saw a comm tag up at Lyssa. I joined up only to find my chat flooded with both [map] and [say] messages in foreign languages. I was no longer on Gandara, but on a weird blend of all EU servers, with Piken, Drakkar, Gunnar and others in the mix. We succeeded in the event, but there was a clear language barrier that wasn’t helping coordination. Good luck doing Tequatl or Tri-wurm in this formula! This is pushing everyone out of their comfort zone, with english speaking players fed up with foreign chat and foreigners equally unhappy forced to speak another language than what they have on their servers for nearly 2 years. The Megaserver map matchmaking needs some serious tweaking.
I haven’t done any world events yet… But having the Wurm, Tequila and Karka ?spawn at limited times for a international game. I haven’t ran Teq in 6 months because just a hassle to wait an hour to get organized for a 13minute fight. #imissoldtequila
Mega servers… I would like to see more of my servers guilds in zones… Nice to have that people in zone feeling though. Will we be merging with specific servers for PvE in particular or just random?
WvW… Account bound WxP, awesome! Being 30 rank points lower then I expected, made me sad. Rank 466 instead of 496.
The megaserver is really bad. Especially for Orr Temples.
We never know when we can do temples.
Can Anet plz tell us how do we know when temple is available to do without camping it?
We have a temple run on NSP that do them in order. Now megaserver screws us up so bad.
(edited by NTDK.4897)
I’m really getting fed up with the game telling me who I want to play with instead of being able to choose that myself. As soon as this hits Sparkfly and Bloodtide, the real damage is going to become apparent.
I come from the server NSP, at 19h40 every night we meet (100+) people at meedler and start to do the temple run at 20h00. So we came across the megaserver today, basically destroyed the whole temple run for about 50% of the player. I don’t said megaserver is a bad idea. But it shouldn’t be apply to those level 70+ zone. Its just the first night we actually try with the megaserver on and of course I ended leaving the game for the night cause I wasn’t able like all my party and a lot of other people of the zerg to simply follow them. I supose it will happen the same thing tomorrow.
Consolidating servers has the smell of death to it.
Feedback. I’ll be clearer here because while I hope you all read the RP megaservers thing (Since you told us to reply THERE in the past. Thank you for constantly having us jump feedback forums. Its so helpful to know our past “Told to post here on this issue” no longer matter. Thanks!)
Buuuuut….
Basically, this is a nightmare. Logging into BC, Rata Sum, Etc. Had none of us in the same guilds , from the same server, on eachothers friendslist in the same instance.
Moreover, there was only one other TCer in my instance, and that seemed the norm.
Our attempts at roleplaying or mentioning roleplay was met with derision, curses, insults, profanities, blatant trolling or being told to ‘go larp nerd’ or the like. Or told that ~roleplaying wasn’t allowed~ or other nonsense.
Moreover, Black Citadel took seven minutes for me to load, ran like crap, and was just awful. This game doesn’t function with megaservers, at least when we can’t select what shard we’re in.
Thats what we need. We need RP shards. We need French shards, German Shards, etc. We need to be able to choose, to coordinate with friends. Something. As it is the megaserver is more of a vomit worthy disgrace that ruins the game on a fundamental level.
I am not being ‘sensationalistic’ when I say that this update has caused people to quit. My guild is filled with people who have ~uninstalled~ over yesterdays patch. My roommate, the leader of the largest active Asurran RP guild flipped out, through his hands in the air a few minutes ago, and said “WHY THE kitten AM I EVEN PATCHING THIS STUPID kittenING GAME!” and stormed off to shower.
I know people who have switched entirely to skype RP and have stopped playing GW2 simply because they felt lied to, stolen from, and cheated by this update. Ruining Tarnished Coast, ruining our community, and ruining our cash purchases with town clothes.
I had another friend who was ‘remaining positive’ but found they couldn’t leave Divinity’s Reach without losing track of everyone in their RP group. And through party hopping and joining servers it took them a good ten-twenty minutes for everyone to reunite in an instance, only to be swarmed by violent trolls which caused the group of ten or so RPers to immediately quit the game.
I really want to say something positive about this. But I can’t. This entire patch has shown a blatant disregard to players, and I honestly have a feeling this feedback thread will go everywhere all the other feedback threads we’ve had since this patch’s announcement went. Nowhere. I hope I’m wrong. I loved this game, but I feel like its a bitter divorce.
I have trouble remembering anything positive about Guild Wars 2. Even Charr irk me to think about. I’m disgusted thinking about them because they just remind me of this destruction of community.
Seriously. I had to log off skype to talk to friends in League of Legends’ chat service. Like a messenger. Just because all of us couldn’t stand seeing our Guild wars skype groups.
I like the new world boss schedule, mostly. But I have two concerns:
The first is the temples. Theoretically, the new system is fine. You go down to Orr, there’s likely one or two of the temples that need taking. But in practice, because of Megaservers, there are too many people in the map. People are actually defending the temples. Which again, is fine in theory.
Until you get to traits. I have multiple grandmaster traits that require me to take a temple (or gates of Arah) to unlock. But people are defending (because there are actually plenty of people around), and so I can’t get my trait unlocked!
So just unlock it with gold and skill points, you might say. But there’s the kicker. 20 skill points per trait??? I never have extra skill points. Between making superior siege and saving up for my legendary, I keep myself very low.
I won’t say I don’t mind the whole “play other content” idea with the new trait unlocks. I don’t like it. But I could live with it if it wasn’t reliant on content which is not readily available.
My $0.02.
Please do something about Megaservers in EU. French servers should be grouped together. German servers should be grouped together. It’s a huge mess at the moment.
Keep megaservers out of cities. Servers need something that is just for them. What if a server wants to do a server wide event? Where can we do it now? How do we call for help in WvW now?
Maybe, just maybe they aren’t sitting with the window open and updating the post every second?
Maybe they decided to wait until the day is over and give us an overview instead of constantly update the post?
Or maybe they haven’t megaservered them at all, but you are assuming they have?
Please just propose to Anet already. We know you want to.
It’s hilarious people are upset with being paired with other languages. The problem of toxic map chats isn’t with the megaserver. It’s with your community. You ever play FFXI or FFXIV? Japanese, English, French, and German players sharing servers and map chats, and what do you know? No one cares about seeing a line in another language.
Report the people flaming others in map chat. Tell them to shut up. Nothing is wrong with being exposed to other languages.
French servers should be grouped together. German servers should be grouped together. It’s a huge mess at the moment.
They are. They just happen to be grouped in the same map. It’s fairly simple to understand.
I’m liking it. Just did map completion on my first megaserrver’d zone. Timberline Falls. Ran into alot of people and events actually scaled up so it wasn’t just me fighting 2 grawl at a time or similar.
My only complaint is that when our guild went to do the karka we were scattered across various zones and the one that most of the guild was in got hardcapped pretty quick by other folks shuttling in their guildies. About half the folks in the guild that were headed to the event ended up in other instances of the zone. Some tweaking to make sure that more guildies end up together would be nice, but otherwise, I’m liking it so far.
I hate the megaserver system. I don’t have any way to reword this.
I have never had any interest in boss fights or farming events, any of that is irrelevant to me.
I didn’t even want to get involved in someone else’s fight. I tended to revive people but after that they were on their own.
I have never touched WvW so that’s not why my server was so important to me.
I cared about being on the server I chose. The name is meaningful to me. There were the people who made the same choice even though I never talk to anyone. I remember people though. The familiarity was nice.
I don’t like seeing a gigantic mass of people in the Grove. Not for one bit. I don’t want to be around a bunch of strangers. I disabled map and say chat once I logged in, I definetely don’t like messy chat.
And in case I ever wander out of a city again I will not help a stranger. They’re probably not one of “my people” in case there ever were any. I have always minded my own business but have gotten a lot more hostile towards players in the game now.
The being in the same party weight seems to be working. However I think the being in the same guild weight could be increased significantly. Otherwise doing guild events such as bounties will be not fun. Otherwise I did enjoy seeing more folks in the open world.
Just as with RPers wanting to be sorted with other RPers, the whole language issue could easily be fixed by ANet just allowing players to have a say in how they are sorted. Simply add a flag that players can flip that specifies what their chosen language is, and have the server placement system use that language as a criteria for sorting players. Allow players to rank their selected criteria based on level of preference* and you’re golden.

Does FFXI or FFXIV have world events that take perfect coordination and organization from all people on the whole map and can only be done once per day due to the new boss synch system?
Where 4+ fractions doing the event but not being able to understand each other means certain failure?
Does FFXI or FFXIV have a WvW game mode and then forces you to play PvE together with the “enemies” you face there?
Where are you supposed to recruit players for a WvW guild or call for help defending a WvW map?
Yes, but they seemed to indicate that it wouldn’t come to cities, and that the roll out would be slower than anticipated. If they’re just going to open it to every map in one or 2 days, why even talk about a rollout?
Because if they didn’t people would claim that they lied if not every single map in the game got added to the MegaServers at once.
You continue to whiteknight. I’m going to go and figure out what to do in this game, now that I can’t farm world bosses anymore.
Not sure why you can’t farm world bosses. Go to Dulfy, get the schedule and farm.
Its getting worse!!!! I thought you guys said you were not rolling this out until later in the YEAR?! I’ve had abuse thrown at me today for not speaking French, Lucky I understand a little French!! but I am far from flaunt in it. They seem to think we’re on their survers and demanding we speak their lang and the same other way around. for god sake Anet! fix it or your going to loose the EU servers from everyone in the EU quitting!!!
Hey so gw2 is about to use a Megaserver system soon… But won’t this lag out most people? as gw2 developers may use very high-end computers to make the game and they know the mass people won’t lag the game, but it definitely will lag-out most people …. In wvw it’s already like this… I really think this Megaserver thing needs a rework before making it permanent… As when we bought this game it says minimum-Recommended Requirements….It didn’t say we need good computers… I thank anyone reading this as it is an issue needed to be addressed… If an anet stuff could read this its the better…. I look to reading replies as soon…

on that’s an easy one to answer in 3 answers
1: new timers means you have to have NO life at all outside of GW2
2: you can’t understand who your playing with any more on EU servers
3: Megaservers are so unstable now that you get so many in one event you LAG out of events and bosses, with the game aether crashing or booting you to log in screen or throwing you to random way points.

There is another issues your missing here. While I agree with everything you have said. There is a missing issue of net connections. Much of the EU and indeed even the UK are still only on ADSL, with a few places being as up to-date as fiberoptic some are still in 1980s cable but mostly 1900s Copper wire, This has been failed to be considered by Anet. this will lag so many people off the game its unreal.
I don’t really understand..Is there a more simple explaination..I don’t read well.. . Thanks
Overall, it is very good, great ideas in there.
However, there are some issues, like hours/prime time for bosses as other people have talked about, won’t talk about it again, it has all been said.
Yet, I would like to bring more attention about megaservers that killed the ability of guesting to gather more materials, which results in prices slowly going higher, and that will very soon skyrocket as soon as megaservers are deployed everywhere.
Do you have any intention to counter that inflation ? Like, just as an example, putting the ori vein near the champion in Southsun Cove to be a rich vein once again ?

Having the same problem, in WvW and huge events I can accept lowering the graphics, but in general PvE it’s a huge pain in the kitten .
Except for the part that you’re going to destroy the whole RP community of your game, A-Net it is really sag that you are just ignoring the MASSIVE critics cmoing from YOUR community. We want to play your game, we want to have fun we give you our hard earned money for that.
You have to take care of your players.
But at the moment it looks like you’re saying:
“This is it, deal with it or gtfo.”
I mean….seriously?
A tiny post here and there would be enough, something like:
“We read your critics about our Mass-Server-System and are debatting about a solution.”
….would be absolute enough.
But there is literally nothing coming from you, except “You postet in the wrong thread.”
Or “Thanks for the good words about our patch.”
Later you’re saying that the Mega-Server-System is “progressing nicely” and we should “Have fun playing”…..
Dear Dev’s.
This feels like a direct hit in the stomach.
It isn’t “progressing nicely”.
We can’t “have fun playing”.
I don’t know what you’re doing.
Ignorring your eu/us player’s because there’s waiting more money in asia?
It feels like.
And i’m not the only one who thinks that way.
A way to big part of your playerbase is mad/sad/deeply dissapointed.
You’re the dev’s, you’re the team and i think…no, i hope you love your game as much as we do.
But with your current actions you are destroying your game and your fanbase.
Please take care of your game and of us.
My loading times are twice as long now, maybe even more :/ Lag on events like karka queen are insane [never had this problem before on Gunnars Hold].
I really like the higher populations at “impossible” times on the Megaserver.
But the babylonic language mess in main chat on the European servers is not too good. I read and speak two languages and somewhat understand three more if a text line is written in babyspeak. But I am not a standard player in that regard. Others in my household (like my son) only speak and write one language and they can’t keep up with the mixed chatter.
Would it be possible to split the map chat in language specific channels that can be toggled like all other chat channels? The game does not change at the language barrier, just the talk. I have been playing for ages in international groups of whose languages I only understood half. Strg-T is the same all over.
I stayed on my server specifically because it had a low population. I like being able to play PvE in a zone without a bunch of random people dragging mobs on me. Tonight at 2am I went to dredgehaunt to see how bad it is and only lasted about 15 minutes before I was too annoyed to play anymore.
Since I’m sure we’re stuck with megaservers whether we want them or not is there anyway to change the mob behavior so that they will not aggro on innocent bystanders after being dragged away from their spawn?
Megaservers are horrible! For a whole bunch of reasons. Sure, running into more people while doing something is a plusside. But there are some huge issues with this:
- Why do you have different language servers if you all throw them in the same megaserver? I already thought this was odd with overflows, but they were overflows, not the server we were running in most, if not all, of the time.
- You have an active roleplaying community, who from my experience are big spenders for gems. A lot of them want pretty skins, but they don’t spend a whole lot of time in PvE, so they can’t get gems for gold. They are dependant on finding each other, randomly running into each other. If they can’t do this, they’ll move on to the next game, as much as they may love Guild Wars and the Guild Wars lore.
- Guilds want to play together, they are currently being split into different servers if they don’t party together. Which is horrible if you want to play a jumping puzzle together, but what if you want to do a guild mission?
- Horrible, horrible lag while doing normal stuff.
And to my big surprise there’s a twitter update on that’s it rolling out nicely, while all I hear about it are people thinking it’s horrible and not working well at all.
I hope they change the way it works to the way they described it would work and stop rolling it out further as long as it’s not working. Actually, I hope they roll it back for now. This seems very much like a “back to the drawing board” situation.
Megaservers and Guild Missions
I’m the guild leader of a large EU (Desolation) guild. We do guild missions twice a week and have members of multiple nationalities. The megaserver system is raising two main issues for us:
- The guild is split when we join a map. Consequently we have to join up in one map via slightly awkward party hopping. In today’s mission we had two people activate Trillia in two different Fields of Ruins: only one group got credit.
- Guild mission activation can still be done by anyone in the guild. This is a larger issue now as we could have members who are not aware of what is going on activate missions on a different overflow to ours as we are taxiing into the map. We had to kick someone today for starting a mission before people are there: it’s not a pleasant experience and makes what is generally a fun guild event a bit of an organisational minefield.
Hopefully something can be done about these issues. I suspect they will be a significant barrier to guilds completing guild world bosses as well.
- Ben
As a guild leader on Piken Square I have exactly the same feelings as you have. We also failed to have the complete guild involved in the kill of Trillia because of the Megaserver and members in different maps.
It is pretty simple for me: When my guild is doing a guild mission and is going to a map for a bounty everyone from my guild ends op in the same instance of the map. No exceptions. We are doing a guild mission so it is totally clear that we belong together on the same map. I can understand that a map can be full, that sometimes happened in the past when big events were held. But Fields of Ruin was never full on PS in the past so that cannot be the issue yesterday evening.
I thought we were unlucky yesterday that the activation of the Megaserver for Fields of Ruin happened in the middle of our bounty and we got split up because of this. I already expressed my feelings about activating the Megaservers without proper communication. But reading the rest of this thread make me believe that there are severe problems with the implementation.
I will play again tonight (7 hours from now). I hope the logic used by the Megaserver system works better then. So far it seems the logic fails to let us play with our guild mates and friends.
/edit: From the post above this one:I hope they change the way it works to the way they described it would work and stop rolling it out further as long as it’s not working.

This most obviously was a case of same problems, same complaints at the same time. But I think the other thread’s OP had the better idea, posting in German to make his point.
I maintain that I offered a possible solution to the problem, too.

They terminated it, cause truth hurts.
I hate this megaserver. I hate this scheduled event. I hate this update.
I hate the fact that despite deliberately picking a low population server due to not having a high-end machine, there are now constantly 100+ people slowing down my game.
I hate the fact that I have to stay permanently partied during the world boss run or every time I WP I would be pushed to a random map.
I hate the fact that world bosses are scheduled, it turned what was essentially doing a treasure hunt & the happiness of looting a chest into a chore and I constricted at the feeling of PLAYING ON A SCHEDULE.
I hate the fact that you’re asking for feedback here, when 900+ posts raised genuine concerns on the previous thread, and ALL of it was ignored and the megaserver went live anyway, with none of the issues people foresaw addressed, and you’re doing it AGAIN here.
I hate the fact that I bought this game and liked it enough to care to even post here. I hate the fact that I don’t have it in me to just say I quit right here right now.
Megaservers.
I was willing to wait and see… at the moment they are broken, buggy and not fit for purpose.
I’m an RPer in the PvE environment. I expressed my concerns over this update before it went live, as did many others… the update has turned out worse than I feared.
Guilds scattered across maps. Language servers combined so people cannot understand each other. Trolling is a real problem without an efficient blocking system.
I buy gems every month. I play GW2 because I like the lore and the business model. I want to support a game that does things a little differently.
At the moment The RP community is being decimated by this. One of your most loyal player bases is being compromised by this update. Events are already being cancelled, people are quitting and threatening to move on.
We need and RP server or a megaserver system that works as intended, grouping people in guilds, home worlds, and uses contacts list.
Failing that, let People OPT IN AND OUT of megaservers. That seems to be an obvious solution to me that should keep everyone happy.
If things continue in this way there will be one less gem buyer on the game and I will be asking paypal for a refund on my latest gem purchase.
I assume losing players is what you were trying to avoid through this update. It’s had the opposite effect from what I can see.
I was a GW1 player and I love GW2… Please listen to the feedback and fix the issues raised or risk alienating some of your most committed players.

Eigentlich ist doch hier schon alles schön zusammengefasst
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Babylonisches-Sprachenwirrwarr/firstWhere the heck did this topic go, I was just posting an answer to someone about the zones which are already megaservers…
They terminated it, cause truth hurts.
oh, yes…..
We never know when we can do temples.
Never. last time i checked, people were crying and begging to let the Grenth defence event fail, because they wanted trait unlocks (which is available only on attack). The defence succeeded, and from what i heard, in this instance of the Megaserver that temple was open for at least 12 hours prior, continuously.
Of course the fact that at least half of the server map was populated by people that didn’t understand english (mostly german and french, with a bit of spanish and some people that decided it’s good to use their national languages as well, since nobody understands anyone anyway) didn’t exactly help.
Also, the Megaserver matching is definitely broken. It splits not only guild members, but also guild members that happen to be in the same group.
French servers should be grouped together. German servers should be grouped together. It’s a huge mess at the moment.
They are. They just happen to be grouped in the same map. It’s fairly simple to understand.
They aren’t. There were at least 3 different megaserver maps at Mount maelstrom yesterday. All 3 seemed to have a similar proportion of languages mixed – basically every language group, instead of being concentrated together, got spread out evenly among the megaserver shards. It is exactly opposite of how it was supposed to work.
