this can not be book because the story of guild wars universe is going on in gw2 right now,living story and all if it is book what the story could be?? i do not think it is book.
obviously not gw2 movie i do not think anet or ncsoft are going to invest in movie making while that money can be used to improve the game even blizzard wow movie comes out 11 years after release of the game with the game having super solid player base. too soon for movie so it is not movie.
yes it could be pretty much an expansion well every thing will be revealed in pax sout just wait few more days.

I am not saying this may be the logo for an possible expansion, but if you look at all the living story episodes, non of them have the dragon type logo, nor the Game name “GuildWars 2”, living world episodes have been using their own style backed by the “Living World” logo, I believe this is something different from the “Living World”.

But as always I am not getting my expectations high … *All Aboard the Hype Train is leaving

This isn’t the first time they’ve made a new logo or even attached a title, however this seems to be the first case of them actually registering it. It could be a new expansion though it could also simply be the result of people complaining about free content and their response – marketing. For example, it could simply be a “box set” of season 2.

An expansion is plausible however and the current story is obviously building up to an introduction with Mordremoth. Although the title makes it sound small, anything is possible. Sure, why not, let’s get support from Cantha for example.

I suggest waiting a week for PAX before jumping on the hype train.

Anet expect $91 000 000 income in Q3 2015.
Meanwhile Q1 and Q2 is barely over $20 000 000.

I doubt it’s anything else except expansion that would bring such income in just Q3.

I’m still not on the expansion train yet. I’ve always thought we’d get new race/profession, but I’m not sure it’ll be through an expansion.

At best this is going to be a mini add on to end LS Season 2. I really wouldn’t get my hopes up for a full blown expansion even the size of Eye of the North.

Probably next Living Story.
I don’t see Maguuma jungle as an expansion, not much to see there.
Or maybe it’s something similar to Sorrow’s Furance GW1.

Yes, but I believe they would not sell something that they have already gave for free, also as we all know they always said that they were working on something exciting ( not saying is something that exciting :P ) but lets compare the numbers of content release from the beginning

on 2012 there were 3 releases ( the games was new so no need for new content, either way we got the holidays)

on 2013 we got 21 releases – all content ( most of them temporary)

on 214 we got 17 releases – from which 2 of them were feature packs, and the holidays were just a reuse of old ones, and no Dragon Bash …. (lets take in account the China release has taken some of the time of the teams)

my opinion is since there were no lay-offs like in other NCsoft studios, they should have been working on something.

I can see on how the China release may have affected the content on 2014 but even so we are talking about 8 weeks not counting the holidays releases that were just revamped with new rewards …

But as always this is just pure speculation … and as you said – a boxed product – why would they register a trademark otherwise if was not for selling something?

Its kinda hard to say what they’re going to do. Your theory its going to be something different from a traditional expansion makes a lot of sense especially in light of what is planned for pax south.

Its possible the new framework to expand the universe “simply” refers to how the whole thing is set up.

Expansion takes 2 years or so to develop but in the meantime the story is setup through the living story. I mean see this in contrast to other mmos. in other Games sometimes an expansion just drops with no intro to it at all. Yet here we get to play and be involved in all of the events that lead to it.

Its like in Gw2 while waiting for the game to launch we’d had to opportunity to play in the events that led to zaithan’s awaking. Its simply awesome… in a way this is not just getting the lore but actually be there and shape it up as its being created!

Who says it just has to be Maguuma?

Living story Season 2 has hinted many times at the crystal desert… maybe we need to ascend in order to kill him or something who knows!

Just take Gw2 release as an example. Sure Zaithan resided in Orr but the story to kill him didnt all take part in Orr it took place all over tyria.

Even if we dont deviate one bit the maguuma jungle (maguuma wastes now) is quite big

LS Season 3 leads up to a final confrontation with Mordremoth, then in Q3 2015 the Heart of Thorns expansion is released. The player finishes Mordremoth in an explosive start, then returns to the Pale Tree who tells you that a rival Pale Tree can be found in the Echovald Forest, whose offspring have awoken a terrible menace – Mordremoth’s Sister! Maggiemoth. You must travel to Cantha and convince the fleeing Wardens to aid you to destroy the biggest, thorniest dragon of all time.
