“A man chooses; a slave obeys.” | “Want HardMode? Play Ranger!”
Name 5 change that would blow your mind!
“A man chooses; a slave obeys.” | “Want HardMode? Play Ranger!”
AOE limit is lifted.
AOE limit is lifted.
AOE limit is lifted.
AOE limit is lifted.
Grid system is put into WWW using a VP counter system based on % of present forces in that gridzone. “end of zerging”
1.) They optimize the particles
2.) They fix particle scaling
3.) They optimize the engine so its relies on the GPU more then the CPU
4-5.) Any of the above.
That should about fix most of the performance issues people are having, and my only true wish. Its been more then a year, and the game is still running quite badly considering to how it looks.
1. you can travel between zones without teleports – no boundaries made of square mountain ranges. Old grandpa Lineage 2 could make it. Why not game from 2012?
2. all the stat combinations are viable. There is no elitism towards knight and berseker stats.
3. Creation of system fixing the clipping, designing capes in the process.
4. Bringing back the old login screen.
5. Fixing zergfests
6. Making acquisition of precursor a quest (I know it will come soon so this is just temporal point which would blow my mind )
1. Forum search function finally works.
2. Trading post search features enhanced to include search by armor type.
3. Potion that turns my character into a taco.
4. Human character model options to allow me to make a character that looks older than someone that looks like they are on their way to a Justin Biebers concert.
5. Champions that spawn at random times and in random map areas and rampage across the map killing everything until someone stops them. I’m looking for you giant mega troll champion (giant mega troll is my concept for an evil giant mega troll that runs around berserker style and rips off the heads of everything in its path and burninating the country side. Oh, I can’t wait to face you giant mega troll! https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Corrupt-a-Wish-GW2-Style-remake/first#post2844134)
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
1. Add in body-blocking and remove aoe
2. Delete ascended gear or remove all stat advantage (give it stat switching ooc)
3. Make living word instanced
4. Add more PvP game modes
5. Give guilds 1000x more customization
1. Elementalist weapon swap. don’t care if it doesn’t work while in combat. It’s a pain to have to manually do it everytime.
2. Dueling anywhere, even inside instances.
3. Give some sort of wvw / spvp goals to guilds, making it possible to have a NA / EU guild ladder (or world specific, or both) based on something. And then rewards / customization based on that.
4. Voice packs. Don’t care if the cutscenes are forever disabled or muted for my character.
5. Reduce effectiveness of zerging in wvw somehow.
Ele & thief main (full ascended)
Down with the braindead faceroll classes.
Why not game from 2012?
Most likely because of the overflow system
1. Fix old graphic issues with characters that have been present since launch (norn female shoulder/gloves/boots being odd sizes, hair that clips more than superficially with your unarmored body in any non-stationary stance like combat, swimming, emotes..norn females again the worst…. these among many)
2. Add more rewards to dungeons for taking the time to kill stuff along the way like 7-10 tokens from all champion mobs, and guaranteed 1-2 silver for killing any elite mob in the instance. (make the run worth 2x as much for stopping and killing things, even if you have to take away from the end box, make it rewarding to actually “do” the content).
3. Add dungeon tokens and rewards above to story mode dungeons hopefully so more people do them.
4. Add more armors like the Zodiac sets, but not quite so highly stylized, and not blue (bare skin), male and female, make these new armors more similar on males/females (viper and phalanx to name to of the very worst offenders to needless difference), and please work on the headgear some (male ascended heavy helmets are ok, what happened to make the girls asc heavy hat so…wtf?) Asymmetry in armors needs to be less pronounced (norn t3 female heavy, human t3 medium are good asymmetry, norn t3 medium is fair enough but pushing it, female viper, phalanx and medium and heavy ascended shoulders/gloves are too much)
5. Dyeable accessories and weapons. Staple of guild wars one, and would make my life in the ascended weapon crafting hell so so much better. GW1 allowed it with weapons, and it should also be added to aquabreathers (dye channels actually do exist on these via item preview) And dyeable back items… to absolutely include the engineer weapon kits (which also need to be scaled way, way down on all female characters).
3/5 are about looks, looks being the ultimate endgame…this is what they really need to be more careful about.
2/5 are dungeon related, i don’t care for skipping and like killing the trash in places like arah, but good luck not having your pug torn apart by 1 or 2 who ignored the “no skipping” part of the lfg post. I say make killing things half or more the value of the run so you can do your dungeon master or daily quickie or you can get your loot.
Have many many more that would also absolutely blow my mind, but the OP said 5 ;P
- A particle reduction/elimination option is implemented — though it’s more that it blows my mind that a feature common in much older games is not in GW2.
- The rewards-based endgame is spread out to other aspects of the game besides herd events.
- The forum filter auto-replaces the terms “QQ” and “whine.”
- Implementation of a wardrobe feature to foster the idea that pursuing multiple looks for a character was a fun idea rather than a pain in the kitten (PITK)
- The “stats” feature is reverted to the approach taken in GW, with character stats being mostly on the character and much less on gear.
1. Pandas
2. Flying mounts
3. New gear every 3 months
4. Sub fee
5. Resilience gear
Not saying I wish for these changes, just saying this would blow my mind.
1. Guild v Guild Battles (possible in upcoming Patch)
2. Templates – Templates for builds including skill and traits and armor set as wanted
3. Tab for activities (hate searching and would be nice to go quickly to them)
4. Guild Halls
5. Contest WP Fee – Pay little extra to go to a contested WP.
I have a lot of these and more on Lankybirds List Forum

5. The Return of the Gods
1. Guild Halls
2. Ritualist
3. Human Gods
4. GvG
5. Dueling
Deaths Fear [Fear] / The Hardcore Caravan [HC]
Forum Warrior: Black Belt in Ninja Edits
1. Remove Ascended gear
2. Make conditions viable in dungeons, large-scale battles
3. Make combat require more than dps-output (support, strategy, dmg mitigation, etc)
4. No more RNG boxes, rare chance tokens, gem store only armors & weps – in game!!!
5. Search function on the TP that sorts by armor type
.
.
.
6. Remove Ascended gear
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
1) Allow Rangers to forgo having a pet, grant a character buff instead.
2) More weapon skill selection.
3) Reduce skill graphics dramatically (or provide a player side option for the same).

5) more weapon and armor skins for horizontal progression (including more medium armor options without waist capes or trench coats).
1). Race change.
2). All armour types unlocked for all professions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6zkT2uZAGA – GW2 – A world of wonder
Things that would “blow my mind” or shock me? As in “wow, I can’t believe Anet would actually do that”?
1. Precursor crafting for current precursors (i.e. the Legend, Rage, etc.)
2. Remove of Farming Punishment (DR)
3. Dyes made account bound
4. Boss mechanics that aren’t one-shot gimmicks
5. basically anything that doesn’t involve appeasing the monetization department (fixing age old bugs, adding a realistic set of animations/emots, making the game about horizontal progression through playing the game, not making gold making gold making gold making gold making gold)
Things that will blow my mind, aka things that will never happen in this game:
1. DPS meters
2. Inspect feature (just like inspecting in PVP)
3. New dungeons and Fractals with skilled players in mind
4. Instanced (and challenging) guild raids
5. Hard Mode with proportionately better rewards for skilled players
Death and Taxes [DnT] | http://www.dtguilds.com/
1. Guild Halls
2. GvG(Considering all Servers in a separated instance like WvW or sPvP, ex a guild of server 1 can do a GvG with a guild of server 2, 3, 4 etc…) and GvG Rank of course.
3. WvW Commander chat pop a message baloon on screen like say/party chat
4. WvW Commander Tag Color(map and screen up head tag), if is your commander(squad), his tag must be in another color(red?) and don’t hide others commander’s tag on map.
5. WvW Battle Domination Spot, is a place to dominate only with ZvZ Battle
5.1 Sieges are enabled
5.2 To capture this place will be like ruins, need at least one player inside to score points, if this place is empty, no world will score points.
5.3 If has inside of this area players with different worlds, no one score points until eliminate all enemies of this area and keep only allies alive inside.
5.4 Points will be count like towers, camps, etc, on tick.
5.5 Points must be based on how much players are inside, like 1 point for each 3 players(a zerg with 15 players can hold this and make 5 points per tick)
5.6 Is an open space like camps, no walls, no gates, is just a battlefield with terrain relief
5.7 I think EB is the right place to a spot like this
1. Scarlet is actually my father.
2. Zhaiten was a good guy.
3. Logan is actually gay.
4. WvW have collision detection that work flawlessly.
5. GW2 become overly popular and formed a new religion.
1. Templar Armor from GW1 available.
2. WvWvW is removed from game
3. SPvP is more akin to GW1 Codex arena
4. Engineers can use all non magical weapons (Swords, Knives, Hammers, etc)
5. Living Story has more than one villian going at a time.
1. Changing the background of the login screen to match the current LS update. On a related note, change all dialogs to include the actual surroundings instead of a flat 2D background.
2. Include more core updates and permanent stuff in LS updates, for example new areas and dungeons, new skills, lots of bug fixes, camera angle fixes, guild halls, gvg, all that stuff that makes the game system itself fun to play and isn’t temporary story content.
3. Elementalist weapon swap.
4. Cantha.
5. Elona.
These all are things I wish for but think are highly unlikely, thus they would blow my mind if they were done.
1. The game is deleted
2. We go back in time
3. We receive the real GW2
4. We enjoy the game
5. We die while crying tears of joy
1. The game is deleted
2. We go back in time
3. We receive the real GW2
4. We enjoy the game
5. We die while crying tears of joy
1. Add a -1 option to forum post.
1. The current living story (Scarlet Arc) will start to make sense after last patch
2. The game will return to the horizontal progression paradigm, BiS gear will no longer be a grind.
3. make the new trinity (dps, control, support) and nondps builds something that actually works and at least tries to be balanced
4. Anet will go the expansion way (with expansions that are worthy of that name). This does not mean abandoning LS releases.
5. Ranger class will get fixed
Edit: and a bonus point, that would actually top all the five above:
6. Anet will actually start seriously communicating with community, with real consequences, instead of only using it for PR purposes.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
1) Anet abandons the Living Story acknowledging it as a failure
2) Anet apologizes for lying about Fractal LeaderBoards and Fractal Weapon Boxes
3) Anet announces an Expansion
4) Anet creates more dungeons
5) Anet stops catering to casuals
1.- Ascended gear removed
2.- Everything that made GW1 good and its QoL features (templates, etc)
3.- Make a REAL open world without stupid portals or unscalable mountains.
4.- Overflows disappear
5.- Gem store is deleted and they start focusing on everything they said on their Manifesto
You guys are amazing ^^
I’ve ment Positive things to list, but some sarcasm is healthy
To not brake the listflow, I’ll share 5 from the Guild;
- Better (&moddable?) graphics that relies on GPU – CPU opt. for i5
- Buildable Guild Hall with many many visible upgrades
- WvW Borders change to Icy/Forest/Desert theme & real villages/world construction
- Capes of many shape… selfcustomizeable but with guild designed base.
- Royal’s designs gets in game overall (They said LOL!)
“A man chooses; a slave obeys.” | “Want HardMode? Play Ranger!”
1)Optimization on all fronts. especially AMD.
2)Server population balance in WvW
3)Profession balance in spvp
4)RNG on rewards removed.
Legendary drop from a trash mob, really? i mean thanks and all.. but what is the prupose of doing any content when i can kill skritt mobs that have higher drop rates then endgame chests? im back to whatever map has the most trashmobs respawn time.
5) I gave up on guild halls, guild wars, anything guild related.. a guild is nothing more then your personal bank.
E.A.D.
1 – Condition revamp.
2 – Defiant revamp.
3 – No AoE cap.
4 – Body blocking/pushing around and inertia.
5 – Friendly fire.
Returning GW1 Skill System.
Returning GW1Class System.
Returning GW1 PvP System.
Scrapping the living story.

1. More engaging and challenging endgame PVE content.
2. More engaging and challenging endgame PVE content.
3. More engaging and challenging endgame PVE content.
4. More engaging and challenging endgame PVE content.
5. More engaging and challenging endgame PVE content.
Seriously, if you want the game to be able to sustain for the long-term. People can say all they want about comparisons to WoW, but a major reason for their success was providing players an incentive to stick around after reaching the level-cap. Regardless of whether you favor the “gear-grind mentality,” the fact that you at least had the option to participate in various raids that required real communication and teamwork to progress through was a big part of the “massively multiplayer” experience. It provided a sense of accomplishment each time your group was able to successfully down a boss with unique mechanics. More than that — there was a deeper sense of “role fulfillment.” It felt like your classes’ contribution and/or abilities actually mattered during certain encounters. In GW2, it’s honestly more like a zerg-fest.

5 things? Pretty easy!
1 BRING
2. GW1
3. kitten
4. INTO
5. GW2
1. game became balanced
2. RNG was improved greatly
3. Gem prices became stable
4. Char’s started shedding
5. Sylvari hair styles changed to match the seasons.
1. Salvagable ascended rings
2. Kittenload of new skills and skill types (bring back hexes/enchantments)
3. New races and professions (Quaggan ritualist, anyone?=
4. Expansions with better storytelling (no traherarne/talking head cutscenes)
5. More PvP game modes (for example annihilation/kill count like in gw1)
1 Actual open world pvp (pvp servers, prefferably faction based, like bring back luxon and kurzick or something like that)
2 Server invasions (one server opens a portal and invades another, the other server can invade back through the same portal)
3 Character class change (your character has the ability to change his/her class whener he/she is in a major city, however, the new class has to be leveled yet again from lvl1 on the same character)
4 Permanent items tab (a tab into which you place tonics and pets that you want to constantly active, or activated whenever possible)
5 ALL open world champions now have either the AI or skills (or both) to destroy entire zergs of average players all at once (make dat FS farm interesting)
6 just had to add this – Normal and veteran monsters now have one random ability that requires you to adapt to it or directly counter it (while champs, again, should be even more powerful)

5 things? Pretty easy!
1 BRING
2. GW1
3. kitten
4. INTO
5. GW2
I agree 100%. More kittycats! The lore feels a bit disjointed and lacking when so much of GW1 is missing…
1. ANet abandons their need to create linear “living stories” and goes back to developing wholisic, web structured story by creating new zones with interesting DEs.
2. ANet abandons their attempt at herding players into various areas of the game by sprinkling high-end mats and currencies around the game and returns to their philosophy of “play how you want”.
3. ANet abandons vertical progression and implements a robust and deep horizontal progression to the game.
4. ANet does a comprehensive profession bugfix effort before attempting to rebalance them.
5. ANet overhauls WvW to discourage massive zergs.
1. No waypoint fees.
2. Option to engage foes, or not to, in PvE.
3. Flying Mounts.
4 Karka hit by a meteor and now extinct.
5. Orr get’s a clean-up.
1. Fix various issues and bugs in Dungeons and Fractals
2. Moderate and suspend all the LFG griefers
3. Add precursor crafting
4. An option to toggle down particle effect even more
5. Add more titles which are rewarding but difficult to achieve
1. Guild Management tools such as “Last Online” and separating “Invite” from “Kick” abilities
2. Actual balance between Risk/Reward
3. Account bound dyes
4. Instanced content for groups of 8-10 people a la UW
5. A way to duel your friends to hone your abilities.
1) Rebalancing of role and stats so not only DPS full Beserk is good in PvE, but also Support, and condition damage. And that each one have a specific role so we don’t end up with 1 superior kind of build. Exemple : Condition is better against big boss with a lot of hp, but direct damage is better against normal mobs. So a mix of the two would always be better.
2) Rebalance of WvW so that everybody can fight against a number similar to them and not fight against a zerg of 50 while you only have 10 in the map.
3) Hard Mode of each dungeon to have a better PvE end game. Mode in which you absolutely need to have a orgnanized group and buff yourself to the max if you want to be able to complete it.
4) A lot more ways to get ascended with similar price from one way to the other (not 12 Commendation or 35 Laurels and 40 Ectos for exemple).
5) Make more things to do in more maps. Right now everybody is in Queensdale, Frostgorges Sound, Genderran Field, the maps where a dungeon is, etc. Who go to brisband Wildlands except for map completion or Guild Missions?
1. Scarlet is actually my father.
2. Zhaiten was a good guy.
3. Logan is actually gay.
4. WvW have collision detection that work flawlessly.
5. GW2 become overly popular and formed a new religion.
Have you seen his hair????
1. Unlocked all Armor’s into open skins without classification.
2. Farmville style growing and building in an Home instance. Proceeds/mats could be used to rebuild LA or build up a new zone?
3. More slider based character customization (Sims) so we can really go wild.
4. Mounts
5. Profession additions. I want to build a Warrior Ele or War Guard, etc.
for PVPers:
1- add dueling system and more sPVP modes ( capture the flag etc)
for WWWers:
2- add GVG minimaps.
3- remove AOE damage cap.
for PVErs:
4- remove defiant from instances, it should exist in open world only.
5- make different builds viable, where is support and control?
1. The much needed Armor changes: Skirtless/Coatless medium armor being added. GW1 Assassin style, and armor scaling being fixed so that it actually fits all races properly.
3. An Spvp mode like Fort Aspenwood added.
3. Condition mechanics changed allowing multiple people to run condi w/o worry about stack limits. o.O
4. Addition of customizable Guild Halls.
5. Anet finally adding the Crossbow-Shortbow Legendary skin.
