Small guilds should have had at least some of the missions accessible to them so they could slowly get some rewards. The philosophy of only large guild raids should be able to play any of the missions is just a crappy idea.

One major flaw I see in guild missions goes like this:

Bunch of guild members drifted away from gw2, they see info of new guild focused content coming to the game next patch!

Patch arrives and people come back to the game, names we haven’t seen login suddenly reappear with the wanderlust to go out and fight missions with the guild!

Guild finds out there is a massive wall of influence to even begin tier 1 missions.. people log off/drift off..

Tier 1 should have been accessable to ALL guilds, big or small.. active or inactive.. if the worry was on the rewards then just straighten those out so this tier 1 was giving less then the rest, put the huge wall on tier 2 and 3.

You want to attract people back to the game with new content, at least let people get in on it and play from the get go…

I am in a big active guild so we haven’t really suffered much from any of the above, many friends in other guilds (of different sizes and activity) have really been stung by this.. it makes such little sense to roll out NEW content in this way, you scare off gamers who WANT to come back and play more guild wars.

So you want 20-30 guilds tracking same bounties at the same time, instead of 2 or 3 guilds right now?

Anet did the right thing.

So what if it takes abit longer for smaller guilds to unlock the bounties? You in a rush somewhere? Is your train leaving?

The train has already left! People have already unlocked other missions. I see that you have already boarded ‘the train’. No wonder you don’t want others to be on equal grounds.

I can understand that bounties can’t be made by small guilds like mine properly. I can understand that some guild missions are meant for larger guilds.

The thing is that they should have made treks or races to be the first unlockable, so small guilds could earn their merits slowly. They way they have put them, a lot of small guilds are trapped without the chance to unlock anything unless they are lucky to beat the bosses on time :/

My estimation is that you can complete the guild bounty itself with a minimum of 6 people.

You can get the commendations by simply hunting only 1 of the 2 bosses. If you just want to farm commendations you can get the T3 one, pop that then pick the easist boss in the list, doable with 4-5 people. For getting the merits you can do them with 6-7 people.

This is what people telling the small to medium guilds to just join large guilds or to merge with others guilds are telling others to do. To throw away months of hard work and dedication to boost the numbers and egos of the “mega super fun time”, guilds.

I hope you didn’t mean it this way, but as leader of the 53-member (about 5-10 active per night) Super Mega Happy Fun Time guild, I’m hurt. Our core mostly knows each other in real-life, the remainder from playing together every day, and while I’ve resorted to doing some recruiting to try to build our ranks, we have every intention of capping ourselves at about 15-20 daily active members.

If you have not adviced others to disband their small guilds to join the big ones as an “obvious” option, then of course the above message wasn’t mean for you.
On the other hand, if you hear such advices being given, you can get a good feel about how the people think about their guilds – and what that must mean about the guilds themselves.
Basically, if someone does not undrstand why others might not want to leave their guilds, then he is unlikely to feel anything about his own. And that of course means, that his guild is not a good community at all.

And the current content promotes exactly those kinds of guilds.

Actions, not words.

My 2 cents after having played 3 of the guild bounty missions (T1, T2 and T3):

the event is boring and not very well designed in its current implementation. The way it is now, you’re essentially forced to waste 90% of the event time in preparatory activities, i.e. assign scouts to every map in which bounties spawns and track them down; when you start the mission, the actual event is over in the blink of an eye.

It is also annoying how you need to re-track targets if some other guild kills it first because they just activated their mission; especially for some of the targets (Sotzz the Scallywag anyone?) finding them is so hard that you really cannot afford to “risk it” and try to start the mission if you don’t already have a lock on on him, as finding it in the 15 minutes of the mission timer is essentially impossible unless you luck out.

And of course, given you need to track 15 potential targets, small guilds are completely excluded even if we discount the massive influence costs of the research.

As a bare minimum, I’d extend the mission timer to one hour, and would make the targets for any given guild spawn only after mission activation keeping the mechanic of only allowing guild members to activate those targets by talking to them. This would also imply several copies of a single NPC could appear on the map at any given time, so the sheriff star should only be visible for “your” target and not appear on other copies of the NPC.

At least this way you spend the time playing the actual event instead of just scouting before it…

I’m in a relatively small, but quite active guild, with members who pursue all the various aspects of the game so our guild upgrades prior to the guild missions patch were mostly completed anyways, and we had plenty of influence saved up prior to the patch so I don’t have any complaints about the initial Art of War research roadblock (the atrocious build times for the new content and really any unlock though is another story). The issue we have is that while we have a dedicated and active group of players, we don’t tend to have the sort of numbers evidently required by the bounty system to successfully complete them barring a minor miracle.

Put simply, 15 minutes is a RIDICULOUS window of time to find 2, 3, or 6 different champions in sprawling zones, even if you know from external sources which zone to look in ahead of time; when a potential target’s path through a zone takes them pretty much across the ENTIRE zone, and that zone is Lornar’s Pass… yeah, good luck with that.

So right now, you either have to A) Have people in each possible bounty zone find and keep tabs on each possible bounty target prior to activating a bounty so your riduculously tiny window of opportunity before the bounty fails is spent just killing the required champions instead of also trying to find them (requires at least 15 people able, willing, and most importantly simultaneously online) or B ) have so many people searching simultaneously in the X number of zones you need to look in that the time limit doesn’t matter.

Option A is incredibly boring and seems out of keeping with the spirit of the bounty hunt in the first place (but with that criminally (ha!) short time limit, it’s an entirely logical move if you have the manpower to do it), option B only works with a staggering amount of eyes on the ground. Neither is possible if say… you have 5-10 players online at the moment interested in doing a guild bounty.

And since bounties are the ONLY way to earn merits until you’ve earned enough merits to unlock guild treks, about the only way we’re going to get any merits at all is to start massive recruiting drives (not exactly in keeping with our guild philosophy), hold bounties on the weekends and pray we can get enough folks online willing to do the busy work of tracking down the npcs beforehand all online at once (not holding my breath on that front), or via DIVINE INTERVENTION, because as stated, even if you know exactly where to look, 15 minutes is just WAY too short of a time limit to find the targets if you happen to draw the short straw and get ones that happen to have huge patrol routes (oh hey, that’s MOST of them).

The time limit for completing bounties should at the very least be tripled, guilds shouldn’t have to game the system by doing the actual hunting beforehand just to complete them, 15 minutes is a ridiculously short length of time given the scope of the task you’re asked to complete.

The train has already left! People have already unlocked other missions. I see that you have already boarded ‘the train’. No wonder you don’t want others to be on equal grounds.

I don’t understand your reply, I said that it should have been designed in a way that allowed every single guild access to tier 1, so that players of all kinds be they hardcore/casual/coming back from a break could take part in NEW content, if that meant designing the specific missions differently then so be it (bounty for sure)

New content is a very large draw for returning players, especially since this games model is so free to let people take long breaks and return on even terms with most other gamers.. if the newest content has such a massive wall in the way for these players, they will just leave again.

My comments about being in a larger guild and thus less effected are true, lucky me I am not in the predicament that many others are in.. it’s overall a very poor implementation of new content in my opinion, Anet can and should do better then this.

Have to love the “done the new content cos we a big guild, and now we bored” attitude of those fleeing WOW because lol … 3 big patches within not even 3 months to give newWOW content were not enough to keep them going there … now they here whining about not enough content … or too hard … or not hard enough … or …. I have to just go hahahahaha … seriously are some never happy. How about learning to be helpful human beings instead, and actually consider that as everyone playing this paid the SAME as you and has the right to attempt to see exactly what you see whiners too. So YES, smallers guilds do have as much right as the bigger guilds.

I just find it so sad that the helpful community that started in only August 2012 is dying because of a stupid mistake. ANet, pay attention … and keep the game alive, … Many smaller communities are better than one or two big ones which are like faceless drone corporations. Point – You want to stop the WvW ZERGS like you claimed … then encourage SMALLER Guilds, not big ones.

My small guild did guild bounties for the first time last night and I have now never been happier with the game.

Going in, I had some trepidation and alot of the same concerns voiced in this thread. We are a small guild and exploring even two zones seemed daunting – so we asked for help. Our first step in each map was to ask in map chat if anyone had seen our bounty target. This allowed us to find our targets more easily (we did tier one bounties 3 times, so six targets) and enticed more people to the fight.

It also had a secondary effect. During the course of the night, my small guild gained four new members and formed an informal bounty alliance with two other small to mid sized guilds. It was AWESOME.

The one change I would recommend is scaling the time to find the bounties up a little – maybe to 20 or even 30 minutes – for the tier two and three bounties. It would make them more feasible for smaller guilds. Even relying on map chat, I could see some RNG issues related to the hunt (and we refuse to resort to pre-hunting targets – that seems incredibly boring).

Again, had great fun with the guild last night and made some new friends – win/win.

What I can’t figure out is why no one has brought up a huge argument to shut up the people who keep saying “suck it up”

Let’s look at the patch, what would everyone consider the main part of the patch being? Also what is considered to be the new content for the game? Yes a few things were added to do in pve that take all of half an hour to do so what’s left? Guild missions that in terms of time to actually enjoying a game, small guilds will never achieve. It’s as simple as small guilds don’t get NEW content so they are therefore missing out on the game. lets say my guild of 8 active and 2 semi active members decides to grind out to do the missions, we need to go down art of war ok 1 tree while useless to us doable. Ok so we did all that and did some guild missions but wait now to do other content we need to other trees that we now neglected to go down the aow tree. Also while we strictly farm for these upgrades we are losing time to farm other stuff, what if I want a legendary weapon? If I’m spending money on influence to just do the new content they put out I can’t get my legendary any time soon if at all, which is also the same for my guildies. This isn’t just a minor inconvenience it affects play style, time, keeping members in even medium sized guilds, and the availability of new content for people. So in what sense is anet keeping ppl who aren’t in larger guilds playing the game? That’s the issue. Is rather not be a no name dronein a 500 man guild so that I could access the new content that was promised to EVERYONE.

knock knock There are someone of arena.net net here ??

The lack of a good design to the mission are obvius and the small guilds are suffered a lot to buy the upgrades or to do the mission ( AKA Time Limit ), the commuinty feedback is clear.

But to me the worst is the mutism of arena.net, they are doing the same thing that they did in the ascend items.

Put all negative feedback in 1 post→No answer anything the post at least or comment the community feedback→Lets day pass until the post die deep in the forum alone

It doestn matter that the topic be a major thema bout the stats in the game, whenever are negative feedback or is a bad thing for them they simple dont answer anything ( look the transmutation legendary post too months waiting for a solution ), but they answer funny topics in other post and make jokes…seriusly?

I dont know why? Simple fear of the community reaction or worsen the situation ? join all in one post to do control damage ? Or that they simple dont care about our their community or the forums ?

This is literally the biggest post of all forums about a major update that is destroying many guilds and they dont have time to put us a decent answer ?

I belived that arena.net wanted to improve the relation with the community and the forums after the ascended update, but it seem that this go from bad to worst.

I dont know if they think that simple dont answer and let this post die is better for their community relationship, but at least to me they are morphing to a company who seem to care for their community in the beggining of GW1 with a lot of communication with “no-oficial forums” like Guru, Insder etc….to a big company like EA, Blizzard , Ubi, Activision etc.. where they only care for your money and ingore us until the bubble explote in their faces ( Diablo 3 Blizzard, Rayman Legends Ubi, SWTOR EA, COD DLC Activision )…

We waited a 1 week for some comments/answers, and my bet is that we will continue waiting more time, but at least me i feel like stupid and arena.net is making fool of me, i dont know if many other users feel the same, but with a MMO where all their core base is their community i dont think that this would be the better strategy for arena.net.

Here’s my problem:
Large guilds already are doing the content
For small, active, guilds (we go on each week, most are on on the weekend, two of us are on each day for the most part) with people who have a life like mine, it will take us 18 years at our current rate to unlock the puzzle mission (which is really the only one we’re interested in) or 9 years to unlock them if our influence gain doubles

I understand that some small guilds can do this, but we really don’t want to farm dungeons for it and we don’t want to invest in AoW until we have a vault box fully upgraded. We’ll do dungeons, but we’ll do them for fun, not for farming influence (Also, I’ve seen on the wiki that you get 20 influence for doing a dungeon, I don’t believe I’ve ever received that – at least it doesn’t appear so). Plus, we don’t have 5 active people on each day. And on the weekend, it’s commonly 4 active at a time. We can get a 5th if we need it for a dungeon, but we only have a limited time span we can do them in.

Note: My guild of three was able to do EVERYTHING in GW including 3-man all elite areas except the UW. We’re a capable and dedicated group.

And TBH large guilds got it quickly. They’ll get the other missions quickly. I think they’re trying to give more long-term goals so people don’t rush through content- even large guilds. But the thing is – they’ll ALWAYS rush through content with little effort. They’re making smaller guilds work exceptionally hard and just giving large guilds power to abuse since they can do the content that others can’t. ANet needs to understand that they will never be able to make long-term content that will keep large-guild types that rush through content from getting bored. It’s just not possible. Ascended armor was an attempt at that. Why don’t they just use ascended items rather than content to motivate for long-term staying in the game? Give content out free (excepting expansions), work for shinies. That’s the way things should work.

Edit: They’re trying to cater to a small group that will never be satisfied at the expense of the larger population which is much easier to satisfy and much more important to satisfy as they are the larger percentage of the population

Another possibility here is that ANET is trying to formulate an answer after such a negative reaction to the new content. After they were sounding so excited with what they were releasing they may be wondering what happened.

What happened(Top three in my own opinion):
1. Rift in the community – Especially between big and small guilds.
2. We feel like we were lied to in the run up to the release.
3. They created a near impossible to reach unlock for small guilds. Or at least it will take many many months to reach.

The devs made a classic mistake in their creation of the Guild Mission release. The took the engineer path to creation. This means they created a “device” that had flaws that could only be found by the users. If you only have your testers, who are GIVEN access to the content and have the numbers to accomplish the tasks, you will ultimately come up with what has occurred here.

It can be fixed, but they may be thinking of that right now.

No, it wouldn’t have caught “this” as far as the big talk about the price splitting the customers. Here’s why . . .

. . . a test server would have had access to this easily, being able to bypass the cost of the missions so they can test the missions themselves. If they don’t have to know what the cost is, then they don’t have anything to say about whether it’s too high, too low, or what.

The “two guilds stalking the same bounty” issue, perhaps it would have gotten caught yes. And the technical issues with speeding it up so massively to get to it in 12 hours would have been evident, perhaps. The trouble with the cost? No.

[snip]

It can be fixed, but they may be thinking of that right now.

I think the quoted post explains their silence on Guild Mission issues so far.

The community backlash probably stunned them, since they did not expect anything of the sort. (Apparently, they were under the assumption that nobody played in guilds with less than 10-15 active people during weekends.)

The problem is that the system is in place, and it can’t be changed without further upheaval. This is not a simple balance issue that can be fixed with some code. This is a potentially huge balance issue that retroactively affects long-term sunk costs expended by players since launch, with a direct link to the game economy.

No reply from ArenaNet may mean a mandated silence on everything to do with Guild Missions, while the issue has been escalated higher up, where a full course of action will be decided on and a public response will be drafted.

I’m guessing that the first response by ArenaNet on Guild Missions will be an announcement by Chris Whiteside.

Likely, they initially opened the thread as an “anticipation thread”, because it followed on the heels of their official announcement of Guild Missions as new content. After patch day, it would naturally transition into a “feedback about the new content thread”.

Plus, they don’t want every thread on the first page to be about the same topic. ArenaNet has a well-documented habit of grouping topics together in one place.

If they didn’t expect it, why open a thread about our opinions and concerns? (Let alone the fact that they opened it 4 days before the patch went live, which is just kitten stupid)

I don’t know why they open these. If you think they’re going to respond to a mere 38 page thread with only 1800-ish posts, may I refer you to a 222 page thread with over 11000 posts that they didn’t answer?

They don’t need to answer in this thread. I don’t care about what ArenaNet says to a limited number of users on a forum post. I care about what they do. They need to answer by updating the system to either…

1) Address the incredible unlock costs that force you into a specific tree (AoW) that many smaller guilds don’t care to unlock, or
2) Address the incredible inequality in rewards between guilded and non-guilded players

I wouldn’t have a problem with the unlock costs if my guild could participate in another guild’s mission and be rewarded equally or near-equally – but with the HUGE difference in awards, not having Guild Missions is a nail in the coffin for my guild… and many others.

Give me easier access to the missions I want to do or give me rewards so we can play with other guilds without feeling cheated.

That thread did spawn a response by Chris Whiteside. Only, the response was not posted in the thread itself. However, the final post of the thread does link to the post by Chris Whiteside.

So this example illustrates my point rather than challenging it.

My issues with missions stem further than just missions. It all ties into what we perceived, and what is reality.

When I first was attracted to GW2, I loved the idea that they were breaking the mold in every fashion.
-No trinity
-No grind
-Aesthetic weapon upgrades
-Legendary stats = exotic stats(yes this is in a interview with colin…youtube it.)
-Play the way you want to, not the way the MMO wants you to
-Everything is available to everyone via level scaling
-Dynamic events replace quests

Now we have:
-No trinity. OK
-No grind. Not OK. There is a HUGE grind in the game for literally everything.
-Aesthetic weapon upgrades. Not OK. This is accompanied by a stat treadmill via ascended.
-Legendary stats = exotic stats(yes this is in a interview with colin…youtube it.). Not OK. It has been said that legendaries will be bumped up to the ascended stat equivalent.
-Play the way you want to, not the way the MMO wants you to. Not OK. I want to play Solo, but you’ve created guild missions to force me to join a guild to experience that. I wanted max stats, but I have to run fractals for my max stat ring, guild missions for my max stat accessory(or blow 50 ectos), etc.
-Everything is available to everyone via level scaling. OK
-Dynamic events replace quests. OK

Some core elements have changed. Not thrilled. Guild missions are no exceptions. I have to adhere to a guild mission schedule set forth by a guild leader if i dont want to miss a mission. Here we go, scheduling real life around a game. Wait, I did this back in WoW for raiding…isnt that why I quit the game?

Yes, there was technically a response by Chris Whiteside. That said, was it really an answer to the concerns people raised in that thread? Now, almost 4 months later, would you say that they actually stuck by that? How relevant would you say that response is, today? What do you think? Did they give a good answer?

Irony of the whole Ascended/Lost Shores update? That’s what made half of my guild quit the game. If those guys were still playing, I would have had the influence for Guild Missions and I wouldn’t have to deal with half my guild quitting again (though this time just quitting my guild, not the game.)

This one won’t have to reach 222 pages as it is already circular.

-I don’t want to go through AoW
-It cost to much influence, my small guild can’t afford it.
-I want to solo, so I can’t play my way as this new content is for guilds. (my personal favorite, LOL)
-Arenanet you disconnected from your playerbase.
-Arenanet your not following your manifesto.

Guess what, that old thread didn’t change much and the game is still going. This thread won’t change much either and the game will go on.

@Havana: It would be nice. But I dont think they will, or it is necessary. They have said they are relying on the community, random passerbys to join in smaller guild missions.

But those passerbys get rewarded like any other DE, so if I am map completing, what is the point in stopping to participate? I have no chance at a precursor, I am not going to get commendations. Theres no point. I might as well truck along with my map completion as fast as possible.

Relying on the playerbase to facilitate what they could have done through code is lazy. Id like an explanation on why they didnt make ALL of these missions scale dynamically, like the rest of the game.

Since I don’t experience this, I’m curious. Legendary was always going to be a grind, let’s face it. Ascended was put in to “bridge the gap,” between dungeon sets and Legendary. “Literally everything” encompasses a lot. What else in GW2 is grind? I’m betting that a lot of the perceived grind devolves down to Ascended. I’m willing to be wrong, though.

My guild has 6 people in it. Of the 6 of us that made the trek together from GW1:

2 people stopped playing.

2 people took a break and went back to WoW.

That leaves myself and one other person. Our normal routine is to meet up after the kids go to bed, knock out dailies and go to bed.

Given the rate at which we gain influence, I’m not sure when we’ll get to doing these guild bounties.

It’s Ascended. I’d love this game if they stopped adding it. Legendaries don’t bother me because it’s just a skin.

Grinding for a skin I like is fun and rewarding (I have multiple obby sets in GW). Grinding for tier gear sucks. It’s a job, and I’ve already got one of those.

If they took BiS gear out of the equation, I think there’d be many more people happy with new content.

They’re not going to take away items people already played for. If you think the reaction to guild missions was heavy, the reaction to that would dwarf it. They might be able to get away with stopping at trinkets + back item. They’d be more likely to produce the full spectrum of Ascended, then not add more tiers. Then, if they do the discussed level increase, the existing tiers would have level x versions.

With the risk of going off-topic, ArenaNet has separate teams working on separate projects. Since Guild Missions and WvW have been worked on simultaneously over at least the past month and probably longer, I assume that delays or other issues in the one will have no effect on the other.

The WvW update was originally intended to be included in last week’s update, but was delayed for a month for whatever development reasons (e.g. balancing, polishing, bugfixing, more testing, etc.). Until they say otherwise, I’m assuming that the logistics of introducing the WvW upgrade will have no bearing at all on the logistics of introducing/improving Guild Missions.

Regarding Guild Missions, this is as good a place as any to repeat a link to page 14 in this thread, with the best analysis of what the concerns by many people in this thread are:

Is there any web pages or locations that ArenaNet posts about future plans or any kind of roadmap for future development? I know they have that one thing that is like general “wow look at this” page for each month that leaves many details out. But I was wondering if they had something like their update posts in the News and Announcements part of the forums, but ahead of time.

I’m mainly curious if there was future plans published some place for guild missions beyond what was introduced into the game recently, like fixes or improvements.

They never really had anything big, even in GW1. There were blog posts or announcements but never a “here’s the state of the game this week”.

And given the way the community reacts every time they open their mouths about anything, I have a mixed reaction to the concept . . . I want to hear it, but at the same time I really don’t want to watch the community go nuts every week over and over again.

I just don’t understand why the content has to be gated by time. Gate it by times played the previous content or gate it in another way, but time doesn’t make sense.

Sitting there watching politics devellop an entire week, only 25 merrits/week for the bounty, i mean i understand you want to keep people from rushing everything, i really do, but this system just punishes everyone, especially the small guilds.

It’s a shame really, this content could have been great guild content, except it’s not. This has nothing to do with working towards a goal or getting somewhere together, it has to do with how many people you are, that’s all of it. I’m one of the lucky few guilds that have bounty atm, but i’ve been in a small guild in many mmo’s and this just sucks.

The best sollution would be to limit the rewards to a selective amount of people, so for example you first get reward for 10 peeps for free, up from there you’d need to upgrade to be able to participate with more, or something like that, but not this kitten gated system.

Or as you once said yourself: “We don’t want players to stand around preparing to have fun, we want them to go right ahead and have fun.” I’m preparing to have fun…

Btw i remember a game where everything is locked on a weekly reset base, it’s not very popular around here and GW2 is starting to look more like it every day.

Anet was right to gate the content because it would have been even bigger mess having 20-30 guilds doing bounties then 2-3 as of right now?

stares with jaw dropped

Sooooo, what happens 6 months from now? 20-30 guilds are going to be able to do the guild bounties at the same time?
If you have to gate your content, only to have it be overwhelmed at a later time, then the system is flawed, broken and done in the most lazy possible manner.

There are already issues with guilds and people overlapping and interfering with each others guild missions. If Anet wanted to make bounties first on the tech tree, then they should have been instanced , they have shown they can make any part of the open world private for a group.

You wanted to bring people in guilds closer together? Well if you give them a private playground where they can bond with one another, they will. No instead we have to stress out and tell others in a co-operative MMO to go away or leave that NPC alone. This update is worse than Novembers, that’s right I said it. At least the failure and screw ups where confined to 3 days. Fractals of the Mists was a good addition to the game, despite it’s rushed job and eventually being fixed 3 months later.

The same can be said for Guild Missions it was a nice idea, execution and implementation failed at the starting line. Like Fractals I believe this can be fixed.

It can be done better, I believe in Anet, they do care, we are their paycheck at the very least. Like Anet’s response this is going to take some time, but I am going to write in great detail as to why, if the way things are and continue to stay the way they are it is going to hurt Guild Wars 2.

For the record I bought gems with real cash, when the Halloween and Wintersday content happened and ended, as well when character slots went on sale.

I like this response…very simple and makes the biggest point of all. Smaller guild just gives up on the new content…so now they wont achieve the new content…which then now makes the game in theoretical terms a dead game that no longer gave an update UNLESS u join a guild where ur considered by the influence u earn and are nothing to them if you leave.

First sorry for my english

Yeah, they just annunced the new Frost and Flame patch, and answer some post about guesting and expansions, it seem that we dont deserve a answer here.

I just feel so ignored like other players in this post, im just tired waiting for eternal answer that never come ( Transmutation in Legendary Weapons too), i dont have energy to play, if arena.net dont show that they care for the community and the playerbase and still ingoring us i give up here.

I played GW1 about 7 years more of 7XXX hours, here in GW2 since BW1 with almost 1500 hours and never felt like this, the GW1 arena.net and this just feel like the north and the south, they show us a filosphy in GW1 and while they were developing GW2, and now after 7 months it seem that they just simple throw to the garbage with Ascended grind items, new guild mission, and a great lack of communication with the player base and their needs.

It seem that the live in another differnt world giving us things that we dont need and never beg for it( ascended items and vertical progression) and punish the most important thing in this games, the community friends and guild just punish us because we had small friendly guilds, until now i just can do anything that i want in GW1 or GW2 with my guild..no anymore.

You had a great base game in GW2 launch, yeah need improve balance classes, bugs etc.. but is all normal for new game, fixing and improving tweaks, but it seem when they need add or change some design content are taking all things that GW2 really shine ( horizontal progresion, dont punish players but numbers but reward with skills with events and dungeongs etc..) grab it and punch them in the face.

I dont know how arena.net change this much in sort small interval of time, i dont know if they change their design team, they feell preasured by NCsoft big fishs, or they simple rush each update to launch 1 each month…i dont know but for me GW2 in the first 2 months, until Last Shore updates , was10 better times that GW2 now.

This is not a quit post, or a rage/flame one, i just what write my feelings about the game, and that arena.net read it and they understand our feelings why are we kitten about Lost Shore and this update, we bought this game because GW1 was different and they promised that GW2 would be a different MMO like GW1 was….i remember Mike O`Brian manifesto words ( We take the things that you loved in GW1 and put it in a persistent world ), but each month, each new design content feel more and more how the game is morphing to a real GW game to one more “WoW/Everquest2 clone” and is simple sad.

You want a WoW like game with the new vertical progression, the Guild missions like Raid to big guilds….ok, but dont lie us more, dont pretend that GW2 is like was GW1….i just give a week to see if arena.net have the guts to give us a answer and find a good solution to this mess, i would like that the just rollback the guild missions until they work great for all players, but after still continue with the Ascended Update in November i have zero hopes… i will wait just for a answer, but if this continue and after 2 weeks since the update they just simple continue with their “mute mode” like in other major post i just simple give up and move …. i will continue talking in TS with my Guild Mates and friends that i met for 8 years but i dont want to see morph a saga what i loved so much in another WoW clone.

The most wanted thing to me right now is that before Monday arena.net make me take back my words here.
