Playing support is not only about skills and traits, but also about weapons as well. I feel that Rangers still suffer from low number of meaningful finishers, such as blasts. Though I do understand reasoning of those who claim that blast finisher on Maul could be OP. Nevertheless, lack of those finishers is something that hampers viability of our class in some aspects of the game.

All in all, as much as I’m happy with the attention being given to support-based playstyles, I’m worried that Rangers may get the short end of the stick again, simply because how the class has been designed so far. We don’t have too many tools, and most of those we do have require much more than simple buffs.

Why. Guardians have blast each 4 sec. And could stack endless protection and retaliation to themselfs and allies. Why couldn’t rangers have something like this but with water fields? Given the fact that the support skills on ranger’s weapons are almost absent.

I said I understand the reasoning. I never said I agree with it. As a matter of fact, I don’t. The fact that Ranger have access to fire and ice fields in addition to water field doesn’t really matter, as those are tied to condition builds, and GS is everything but condition weapon (unless you play that 1 spec with perplexity runes where it works as a hybrid weapon, but it’s a niche thing anyway).

Therefore, the only major problem that may result from blast finisher on Maul is the potential healing the Ranger can get from using that skill within the range of Healing Spring. However, if the Healing Spring durations is going to be cut down to 10 seconds instead of 15, as the leaked patch notes indicated some time ago, then the potential healing from blast finishers on Maul will also go down, and therefore I do consider adding this feature an idea that should at the very least be seriously considered.

Your suggested Ranger changes are irrelevant and lackluster at best. So you reduce the pets hp in pvp and add a “i see you” debuff. That doesn’t do squat for the PvE player and as you’ve already increased the pets hp a few months ago it’s very unlikely that you’ll do that again….you then went and nerfed the pets damage by 25 to 50% without increasing ranger damage across the board to compensate.

Dude, what? They’re not decreasing pets hp in sPvP, they’re increasing their hp outside of it…

The problem with Pets is that the AI can not compete with a player and thus the pet ends up being a liability in various ways because it’s dead in the fights that really matter (in pve) like all of your new dungeon/boss designs. Pets DO NOT DODGE. Pets DO NOT MOVE OUT OF RED CIRCLES. That is the Problem, so Fix it.

Spirits are another issue, though less of one. The internal cooldown needs to go and they need other buffs. They in no way compare to Warrior Banners which don’t get killed in aoes or by mobs, can be moved at will and give their buffs to everyone. Spirits are kitten sucky versions of banners. What would have been better was to have had the spirits circle the ranger as nebulous misty things that applied their buffs centered on the ranger as s/he moves around. That way they can’t be killed and are carried with the ranger at all times but limited by where the ranger is in regards to everyone else.

Traits are another issue. Why do so many ranger traits fall far below the same kind of trait that a warrior has?

Warriors get a major trait that reduces cooldown on rifle and harpoon AND gives those 2 weapons piercing. Rangers get just piercing as a major trait for their bows. Why haven’t you buffed piercing for rangers to reduce the cooldown on long and shorbows by 20% too?

Warriors get a major trait that reduces greatsword and spear cooldowns by 20% AND gives them might on a crit. Rangers major gets just the cooldown for greatsword, sword and spear. I’d rather it be just like the warrior trait and drop the extra weapon (sword). Why is the ranger version inferior to the warrior version?

Warriors are supposed to be your perfect class. So start making the other classes just as perfect and make their traits just as good as the warriors. If warriors get cooldown + something then every class should get cooldown + something and not just cooldown!

But it’s in a trait tree that no Warrior goes into, and if you do go for that one trait, you miss out on other better traits. You have to give up either 5% crit/adrenaline, or 5% damage/adrenaline, or better burst skills, to get that trait.

For all intents and purposes that trait doesn’t exist to warriors TBH. If you’re going Greatsword you’re going to be 30/0/0/10/30 more than likely.

Mesmers are so strong, NERF Mesmers pls..

yes, we have everything we are like Celestial stats But nothing more than veil or portal BOT..

In Competitive Groups/Team-oriented Groups, i Mean where maximum effectiveness needs.. overall or in goal.. WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE MESMER INSTEAD of ANY OTHER CLASSES in GvG or mean competitive groups rather than Veil BOT?

just a skill example: Guard`s Stand your Ground vs Mantra of concentration(MoC)

if mantra of concentration patched to AoE, i choosed those skills to that can be compared mean close skills

MoC & Guard``Stand Your Ground``
Untraited
MoC
Pros:

  • x2 stun breaker, 2instant use

Cons:

  • less1sec stability and -5sec another boon(Retal)(SYG has 5sec stab +5sec Retal)
  • not instant use 2.45 sec more activation time
  • 0.45sec more Cd if spammed(minimum cd)(SYG 30sec + 1 activation , MoC 25sec + 2.45sec activation+2sec power leak +2power leak cooldown) + from after channeled to use of all power leaks

imo: SYG wins.. there is no reward for 2.45sec activation of MoC, less stability, no other extra boon and squish mesmer to can not use comfortable as guard example in wvw for large scale fights or ofc gvg where needed stability as front lines and practical it let me 1 stability use for my other skills..

if i traited it fully.. Dom XI Dueling VI, VII and InsX exp 30 20 0 20 0
so Dueling VI
Pros:

  • 400 armor vs Activation Reward +%11 Damage Reduction + if ve more mantras more Sync(more u can use that trait)
  • if i ve 2400armor(Damage Reduction 23.5%) it goes 2800(%34.43) on channeling

Not: Guardian has 217more armor as being Heavy armor than Mesmer light armor and 4277 base health point difference 217armor as naked %13.68 damage reduction where as mesmer have %0

Cons:

  • Restriction to use Adept skill trait requirement – (and lack of other traits)

Mantras Dueling VI and InsX in topic with Activation 2.45 sec

Pros:

  • if not in cc environment vs low to mid dps(damage reduction) and inspirationX high * heal put or hps (i ll copy it later)

Cons:

  • Cc environment(getting VERY HIGH chance of interupted)
  • Burst damages (u cant dodge or use survival skills(except instant skills))
  • unconnection time (action per minute APM, lack of use other skills)

imo: is not rewarded in effectiveness. exp: where i want to use tank for damage reduction..or just use skill i can get still interupts.. i ll lack of mobility, dodge, actions.. unconnection time and bad sync (example asked for veil or tw and i was using mantra where 1 sec makes differences u should cancel mantra or fail for late.. so the time since u cancel channel of mantra to where u canceled is…) still giving traits..

Harmanous Mantras MoC vs untraited SYG
Pros:

  • +1sec stability time
  • 3x stunbreaker
  • Harmanous effect all mantras

Cons:

  • Restriction to use Grand Master Trait (lack of variation of other builds and lack of other traits)
  • not shout (example cant use soldier runes)or pure of voice guard trait
  • while u dont need to trait SYG..

[Mantra of Concentration is NOT AoE now] sorry some bodysays, it was 3.25 sec activation times earlier of game yes we already passed 1 year..

Bla bla bla..

or Hammer Stun Vs Mesmer Stuns(interupts)?
Mantra heals vs Eles heal support?

  • Mesmer Can tanking better than others?
or while tanking dps or support or Crowdcontrol
  • Mesmer Can DPS better than others?
while more survival? or maybe while Crowd Controller or support?
  • Mesmer Can support Better than others?
    No no no,

oh yes can better Suppor give me MANA sorry Veil, Port..

or do i missing something?
why cant see Mesmers instead of being bots 1 or 2 in GvG(Competitive Groups)

What was the reason that Blurred Frenzy got nerf to evade?
why shatter get dead: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Why-would-u-take-Mesmers-in-your-GvG-mathes/2934365

Or why not skills have Environment modifies
exp: i use phantasm berserk in GvG or mean large scaled fights
izerker wow great damage my calculations can be wrong.. 1.75×4 whirlwind to if multiplied enemies can reach 37.33 Co-efficent ?? however i use jus tcuz of random auto attacks or masssive fields.. it dead why not give them at least 1 attack chance and let them die for NOTHING? yeah i am dumb i should u it on near 1 person.. so would roll for ele maybe.. their attack dont die.. as we already ve skills 20sec cd izerker..

Dude, what? They’re not decreasing pets hp in sPvP, they’re increasing their hp outside of it…

They already increased pet hit points once before and it did squat for dungons and these new boss encounters. If they drastically increase pet hit points to the point where they can survive these aoe heavy encounters then rangers will be able to tank solo champions with their pets and that’s a stupid move.

So what they’ll change the pets hp, say they double them, pet survives in a boss encounter/aoe heavy encounter 2 seconds more then it does now. It’s still dead. And then Anet will decide “Oh look rangers pets are SO durable…lets nerf their damage yet again!”

The real issue is pets are too stupid to move out of aoe circles and to dodge. THAT is what needs to be changed. Anything else is superfluous and will just cause more problems in the long run.

Mes
To stay in line with the support theme, we wanted to find ways the Mesmer could support allies. We looked at Mantras, and just didn’t feel they were quite strong enough to do this, so we made some improvements.

Support theme… hmkay…

for me personally it feels like my guardian f. ex. is much more better in supporting allies then my mesmer. Ok, my mesmer has portal and veil… but… that’s it. The definition for a mesmer is “portal and veil” atm.

They crippled mesmers the last patches so much that they now are calling it “support theme”…

Don’t take me too serious, a bit joking… but srsly… MANTRAS… MEH! MEH!

…“support theme”… take portal and veil from mesmers and you can cut them out of the game.

BUT YEAH… Warriors need improvements of shouts… lol… the only class that doesn’t need any improvements are warriors. But these are just all my personal opinions.

“support theme”…

I’m afraid you’re not understanding. The option is a non option. It literally might as well not exist as a trait. You could delete it, and warriors would not miss it at all.

And beside that point – you’re looking at a single trait in a vacuum between two classes, and THAT’S WRONG.

Yeah, how the hell can you justify the nerfs they’ve done to the light-armor classes after that.

Haha, great vid! Next to your tanky warrior, it was especially nice to see that mesmer performing perfectly in the “support theme”… as he should do no harm, because he can support allies so well! Our Mantras gonna own everything!!!

Could Flamethrower get some love too? I’m really hoping it gets some this patch, but just in case.

The auto is so weak despite the risk involved in the ability. You have to commit to do dmg with it, no kiting, no interupting it, can’t use it when Retaliation is near, but there is also no great use of having a 5 attacks/second attack to make up for it besides the weak bleed on crit minor trait.

The range is also incredibly short, so much so that you can knock people out of your range. I propose it be boosted to 750 unless it receives some good dmg boosts. There should be more crit proc traits available to abuse with Flamethrower to offset the punishment Retaliation provides, that would be a good way to indirectly buff the dmg.

I would also like to see Incendiary Ammo get bit of a change, instead of 4s burn x3, which is usually wasted and overkill and doesn’t synergize with flamethrower’s own attacks. I’d rather see it become something like 1s burn across 12 attacks or something like that.

This would synergize with the Flamethrower well for letting you spread out burning more, instead of wasting it all on one target using a single attack.

If not, then atleast just hard-buff the dmg or scaling on the Flamethrower auto to something a little more scary, it has more than enough risk to justify that.

Tbh, I’m not really sure what Flamethrower does that Bomb Kit doesn’t do better. If anything Flamethrower deserves more auto DPS than Bomb Kit considering the risk and the fact that you can’t kite and have to commit with Flamethrower.

Assuming the leaked notes are correct for a second, how will the condition stacking change work with combo fields? For example, Frozen Ground causes kittens of 2 sec chill each, but projectile finishers only cause 1 sec chill each. Hence it would actually be disadvantgeous to use finishers on the combo field!

The same goes for Healing Rain and Healing Spring, with the regeneration boon.

Will combos be excluded?

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.

I don’t think so.

I think the change is very messy and will break a lot of parts of the game IMO.

It also does nothing to solve condition stacking aside from preventing people from stacking 1 minute of poison or w/e on people in WvW that refuse to take cleansing.

I also think Projectile Finishers should be changed. IMO There should be no 20% chance projectile finishers. Leave the auto’s that have 100% finishers as they are, since it’s the added utility those specific Auto’s have, but remove the rest.

I think Projectile Finishers should be something that requires thought like the other finishers, having abilities that can do a 100% projectile finisher per projectile would make things much more interesting.

If for example Engy had a multi-dart attack that sprayed 5 projectiles instantly at a target, you could drop a Fire Field and suddenly the attack is a 5 second burn, or even cleansing with a Light Field.

As it is projectile finishers are usually pointless, since it’s either only on 1 projectile, or a low chance on auto’s which is unreliable and also weak.

The female pvp dev that was on friday Twitch CLAIMS this is the place to talk about balance. What bothers me is, it doenst come over as any of Anet is reading this, that’s why i havent posted yet.

Anyway here goes. I could give a 10 page overview of why balance is wrong, but i’ll just give TL:DR (they are fact, but might seem not a fact cause i just use one sentence and not arguments).

Warrior passive healing is to strong. Yes they are frontline, but they got other tools to survive that (hp/armor, endure pain, berserker stance, stability). Today i fought a cleric warrior, and he made me useless there. I foughtr 3 mins, and he just didnt die, but for the whole fight he had one point defended. So basically, this superior massive passive healing, give him the easy edge. It’s not just healing though otherwise i would have killed him. He has perma vigor (warhorn) and shield stance (very anoying, you are close to kill him; BOOM this + passive healin and you are screwed again. I poisoned him non stop, it didnt matter a kitten. He healed right tru it, dodge/blocked right tru it. Fix this op kitten.

Thief is completely ok apart from one thing: Stats past full exotic set. In wvw ( not spvp) the powercreep by ascended weapon (extra power) and extra stat boost + extra crit damage is to big (especially the last is overpowered). Thief has like 10-20% boost because of this while condition profession slask behind at a lame 1% boost (or even worse). This is ridiculous. Put a crit damage cap or something. while ascended stat boost are ok, combining every single possible ascended crit damage tool together is op. Any other combo is right and good (like take one crit damage trinket out for say PVT), then it suddenly not op anymore. But the current superior high crit damage (+ extra ‘power’-stat creep (compared to only +3 per item condition damage creep, very low), is to big. Fix it. Otherwise then that, all the ‘nerf thief’ things i disagree with from a viewpoint if they use exotic items.

Ele is vastly underpowered. Why? Damage. You must go full berserker to mean something in damage. And even full pvt an ele can barely survive anymore after the nerfs. Especially auto attacks are elementalist curse. No class has this bad auto attacks, but you must realize auto attacks are 80% of profession damage (every profession). So basically that alone makes ele UP. Let alone special skills that lack behind other professions. And light armor + lowest hp, is not ok anymore after the full nerf history of their survivability.

Guardian is ok but slightly to strong in tanking boon support. The problem is, taking this away would make them useless i get it. What guardian definitely needs is more melee weapon choice though. They are WAAAAAY to limited.

Engineer is ok but has some serious issues that needs fixing. First of all kits = 90% of this profession. That means leaving ascended boost out of the equation is basically a 5-10% nerf compared to other (ascended equipped) professions. No Anet, just no. Pve aint pvp. A stat boost nerf like this is just wrong. Stunbreakers are a prob. If ‘stacking condition can only happen 5x’ update comes tru, then engi is nerfed heavely. Skill 3 on elixir gun is best example, it’s their worst/slowest poison apply. And with the new update, it will be useless if any poison is applied before that. It will never reach a usefull amount of time on it’s own with the stacking amount nerf. Speaking of wich i know this weapon is utility and as such can’t be a burst weapon but the whole chain of 5x attack does less then half damage of one rifle auto attack (hip shot). That is ridiculous. Boost it at least a little bit. Elite skills really need a bump too. Looking at necro then at engineer, should give you an idea, why engi elites (mostly) stink.

Necromancer. Revert burning update. Seriously. Signet of spite is already close to op, but with this trait, it hase the chance to kitten someone without mercy. Burning + all the spite condition + fear (and terror trait) = bye bye enemy. Add on that a full DS bar (easy to fill before battle in wvw), and this is to strong. Then again the old issues of necro still exist and should be fixed. Mobility is bad. No i don’t want necro to be super in mobility. But their must be an improvment over current situation. Guardian mobility is also bad but at least they got leap of faith, something like that. Or combat only mobility (guard sword 2). Either way give it to them. Pve/wvw aoe power damage is massive more usefull then single target damage. Dagger/Axe don’t cut it in either mode. They are balanced for pvp, but neither of other mods. Give one of them cleaving!! (or give necro sword in another udpate).

Ranger: to much issues to sum up. But overall this profession is VERY clunky. The clunkyness of it, makes it already underpowered. That’s why most post saying ranger is UP are countered by theoritic post ‘but they are good in this that’, but reality is, the clunky part of ranger just makes it not work well. Why clunky? here goes, Arrows often miss. By side stepping or wathever but they miss more then any other ranged auto attack. Single target. Bows are fully single target, but other professions have better tools to hit more enemies with a ranged weapon. Barrage alone doesn’t cut it. Once that skill is over, there’s no way to efficiently kill 5 mobs/enemies with bow weapons, and that should not be the case, especially since ranger should be the master of bow. Secondly Sword. All 3 of the skills are clunky. 1 roots you, yes ok you can sort of live around that, but it will never be a full fix. 2: This skill is plain bad and clunky. Why? It doesnt evade attacks while it should!!!. warrior greatsword 3 while activated ALWAYS NEGATES ANY DAMAGE, no matter what. This skill should be like that in the first phase (rollback). Now it’s just a slow movement skill. (it starts to slow meaning you still take full damage of ongoin attack, and when you finally fly back, it still doenst prevent aoe damage. And then the 2nd skill makes it worse, cause it’s predictable, and has no use except if the other enemy is dumb and almost dead. 3 is ok, but again in practise doenst work so good. The circle you make is weird, and you’ll often miss the poison attack, cause of the unpredictable movement even though neither you or enemy moved away. Again a major survivability skill, not working properly. Condition removal. This is a big one. Both thief, engi, ele, necro and even mesmer are better in this. Yes there’s healing spring, but that cleanses to slow. Basically cleanse is most needed in two cases, cleanse burst cond damage (lot of bleed stack, burn stack, fear does damage ticks), or immobalize. All other conditions are not that bad to live with (some stink, like chill, but again they are not gamebreaking). Immobalize however does. In it’s current implementation, i’d say it’s STRONGER then stun. The only cure? instant condition removal that always works (and is not related to ‘pet being alive otherwise doesnt work’-kind of things. That alone makes ranger so vulnerable. Fix this, ranger needs better cond removal. SEcondly pets. I think the idea/setup of pets is not as kittenome ppl claim. However some issues exist. Pets have to low armor. Some (like bear) has 2400 armor. That’s bullkitten for a tanky pet. That’s the complete base armor for warrior (if he even uses a few armor pieces, it goes up to 2800 already). Bear pet has lot of hp, but it’s useless cause armor is so low. Basically bear has 35k hp /2400 armor, wich equals like 20k hp/2800 armor. But with all weaknesses that pets have (instant killing dungeon shots, unavoidable), this is massively underpowered (especially for tanky pets who barely do dps, like again BEARS). Either give more pet control (instant get a pet to target locatin to avoid super aoe in dungeon and make ranger a ‘managable in dungeon’- profession, or give pets aoe damage resistance (i know you won’t do it, to stubborn, but this is the best/easiest solution), or make the pet cooldown a hell of a lot lower (or give option to ress pet with F).

But since he/she claims they read it (and Chris whiteside is saying devs will listen more to players), i give it a try. Keep in mind this is coming from a player with 300+ hours of every profession. I tried to find a profession without a fundamental problem, and sadly there isn’t. I really hope they do something about it. While i understand their ‘stubborn stance’ a bit, it prevents proper evolution. Especially past nerfs, proven to be to drastic, should be taken back. But it seems like that’s a bridge to far for Anet simple for the reason: it would be same as admitting they made a mistake.

Look Anet team, we know Ele looked incredible overpowered at the start of the game. You wanted to take steps to fix this. However you went to far. (especially the 4 last ele nerf patches were horribly wrong). We understand it, you wanted to a clean house and no ‘omg this is so strong’ stuff in pvp, to make it more casual friendly. However, you destroyed a profession at the same time as doing so. No probs, live goes on, you can still fix it. IF you admit the mistake. Revert some nerfs, and settled.

Legendary weapons can be hidden now!
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.

Just noticed that you’re adding yet another set of buffs to the hitpoints of pets for rangers. I’m just curious…didn’t this get buffed twice before and at what point does this become redundant? When are we going to see some resists to AOEs on these pets and summons so they survive longer in major boss fights or will you be allowing them to come rescue their rangers if the rangers and pets are both downed?

I agree with many comments that the Ele is now underpowered from what it was meant to be and I also agree that the mesmer mantra’s are a weak attempt at buffing. But lets keep a smile on while we look at things. There is still time for some stronger, more reasonable changes to happen for Mesmer than tiny mantra buffs, and Ele can still have its moment with a decent buff to bring it up to par with the more defensible classes, even if thats just a DPS buff to some skills. For other classes, I am not sure as most are doing fairly well. I think thieves need more support in areas outside stealth to give them more variety and maybe nerf down the permastealth aspect just a bit. Warriors, I don’t know what to say; I have to agree with the trollers that they get way too much love around here. I will abstain from commenting on the other classes and wait and see what buffs can be done. I would absolutely love to see traits adjusted in strength and some elites buffed. Ultimately what I think we want to see are some strong buffs to support and defensive play among each of the classes (except warrior, you get plenty of defensive love already!) which would concentrate people into more balanced builds and allow for more hybrid play if this was done. I am not looking of course for a call back to the holy trinity days but I think people should be able to focus spec into other strategies.

Wow. I can read a lot of q__q topic about main-rangers (what a useless class to choose…)
I am AGREED with a pet boost: let them dodge attacks and avoid aoe.

But please, ANEt, if you’ll do that (I do not think, lol) please… make their pet “killable mobs”: killing a pet will RALLY the downed.
This way, you can boost them as much as you can.

Greetings from a warrior.

“We felt that most classes are in a very good spot right now. However, Warriors are still not completely invulernable, which is a glaring issue. We hope the following changes make warriors survive somewhat longer in PvE and PvP.”

as a wvw ranger (i can count on one hand how many are we) i say the pets are useless in wvw. and if the not die they are still useless. cant siege or defend towers, cant keep us and deal aoe or cleave damage. they are bad single target damage dealers. and they suck down our dmg.
and traps should be a kit + we need some serious trait change, move, merge
remove short sword self root and we need some real cc
axe main should be melee

Fix the Bug were Players get stuck 50% of the time after building a siege weapon in WvW (which exists since release and has not been fixed since), so players do not need to switch weapon in combat and loose fights because of it in order to get unstuck.
Also fix the LAGS in WvW, that make even 50vs50 Players unplayable and only Autoattacks work, no other skills will work with this LAG. Therefore any skilladvice is secondary if those skill can not even be used.
Than i will be glad to give creative suggestions to this topic.
I beg you from the bottom of my heart, your game is a top game, you make a very good job, but please fix bugs that already last for one year before working on big revamps. (If the Lags can not be fixed, may it be so, does not matter in that case. Even if i feal it is just a matter of money).
I needed to get this of my chest. Sorry for taking your time.

All pets are useless in WvW, turrets, summons, ranger pets are all extremely vulnerable and adding more hitpoints won’t be enough to make them viable. They need resistance to AOEs.

They can keep adding all the hitpoints they want but this fact will remain until they fixit.

Well in every mmo i v played i am used to playing an thief/assassin character. The thing that is bothering me with warriors is that they are a class for beginners a class that in pve is a armor wearing crit damage killing machine which IMHO is just asinine. But on the other hand in pvp berserk warriors are just hunks of meat compared to berserk thief’s which is also asinine. In www and in dungeons when i roll with warriors for example the thing i don’t get at all is that as a berserk thief i outlive those warriors… It is the strangest mostly unbalanced class in gw2..

Warriors are not unbalanced.
I agree – warriors are good in PVE BUT all the classes are good in PVE.
Other classes ( Thief, ele – and according to some guardian ) outdamage it easily in PVE so I don’t see that being much of an issue.

Maybe give those classes a chance or read up on the dps calculations people have done. Warrior is preferred not necessarily because it has high dps but mostly because its dps is high for the skill floor needed to achieve that DPS.

In short term for a beginner it gives you the most bang for your buck. If you’re very good however you’ll find you deal WAY more damage with a thief in PVE if you’re doing it right – but that requires a higher skill floor.

Also – you outlive zerker warriors because your class has inherent escape mechanics ( see stealth) which we as warriors do not have.

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

An option I’d really like to see is smart ground targeting when targeting areas that are out of range.

Like if I use a 900 range teleport, but I cast it at 1000 range, then it still casts at it’s maximum 900 range in the direction of where I tried to cast it. Instead, right now it just fails until you target within range, which usually means you’ll waste like 100 range.

This would be a huge QOL change.

This. Please. Asap. Thanks.

I agree with you that Warriors are overstated in terms of how awesome they are, and all classes can be good in PvE. However, the problem is that all classes aren’t at the same state of balance, so Warriors seem like the “pet” class.

Rangers have had to deal with shoddy pet AI since betas, and have a sword AA chain that is often more efficient than a bow—besides the fact it roots them in place, so those DoD attacks hit them square in the face. Elementalists fight with a clunky, awkward attunement mechanic, which requires stance dancing for the most effective burst but is completely at odds with many of their traits. Thieves are in a constant war to keep stealth—one of their main survival mechanics—alive, since it has a valuable trait line tied to it and their only alternative for damage mitigation is evasion.

All of that is very aggravating when compared to the Warrior, who is in a relatively good place right now.
