I put it in General forum because it affects wvw and PvP
so yea regen ruins the PvP completly. I’m pretty sure it was never intended being able to tank 3 people with crazy heals. It supposed to work like this in 1v1 situation:
Engage, force the heal and burst . It’s all about using the single heal you have in your skillbar, if you don’t know how to time it properly, too bad for you. Bunkers are ruining pvp already. How a burst class is supposed to hold a point? Regen in gw2 is extremly overpowered and very annoying to fight.

I wouldn’t use Healing signet on my warrior if the other classes didn’t have so much heals : Engi,ele,guard. And that’s why the zerg always wins also. 5 total nub warriors rank 1 with heal signet can take down 5 skilled r60+ players because all they useful utilities like blocks/evades will go on CD and the regen will outheal all the damage.
If there was no regen 3 skilled players could easely take 6 bad people down. They just evade the main burst, force the heal and burst the enemy down.

It’s just incredibly annoying. Look i’m a warrior. Take out heal signet, and adrenal health and remove all the regens from other classes too. And of course it would hurt classes like guardian and ele if they have 0 heals so give them other stuff like more mobility- shorter cooldowns-protection. It would make it less boring already. Guardian is pretty much rooted in place and ele skillbar is filled with 40seconds skills.

You have a major flaw in your post however.

It supposed to work like this in 1v1 situation:
Engage, force the heal and burst .

The game is not supposed to be balanced around 1v1, thus saying that something should be a certain way in 1v1 is quite silly.
The game is balanced around 5v5, thus this “issue” isn’t really an issue since 5 (or heck even 2) people can easily out-damage stuff like this.

I use the same build (probably) and It really is unkillable. But that’s not due to the regen. The protection and passive healing is what makes that good, not necessarily regen.

I want the PvP to be focused on Skill instead of stats. That’s why alot of baddies stack
as much armor and vitality as they can to not die+ heals

It is based on Skill.
You simply ignore the fact that it is not based around 1v1.

If there was no regen 3 good players could kill 6 nubs without problem. But guess what? they stack 4k armor and regen for 800hp per second. Full defensive stats should not be allowed in the first place. In gw1 you could try hard to survive by stacking tank utilities but it would be useless, unless you were a monk or a dervish. It should be killed or be killed and not run away in a zerg if you can’t kill anything.

If your team of 5 above average players can’t deal more than 1000hp per second you are not really above average players.

You dont kill a bunker alone in competitive pvp, also when you fight a guardian the general strategy is burst him and interrupt hi s main heal, plus if you can poison and remove buffs.

About the warrior i think this last balance patch make it a litle more powerfull than other classes, still if you judge warrior take in count that is a begginer class, meaning is easy to play.

It’s not only warriors, this topic is not about how OP warrior is , even if it is. It’s about
all the heals that all classes can get to make a fight last forever. And that’s annoying as
hel. It’s just frustrating to burst somebody and his HP bar is not moving. Why pvping with such a troll build? Roll a thief and try D/P if you wanna troll people but stop this bunker crap. And there should be other ways of capping the points.

Yes. But the fotm one is warriors at the moment. There is so many of them.

I play a condi build in sPvP and my hard counter is a bunker build engi who is immune to conditions at 25%. That’s always lovely. But thankfully they’re the rare exception. Every one and their dog is running this fotm warrior build though.

No, just no. Berserker mode can’t and is NOT meant to beat everything, There HAS to be a counter for it. That counter is survival builds WITH healing/regen.

Sorry to say but if you can’t beat someone who is using heals/regens then YOU might have to play with YOUR class/builds to see what other options you have. Perhaps YOU have to play more of a survival build and adapt to be able to wear your opponent down as well.

Also poison is a anti healing/regen counter, find it for YOUR class!

Exactly, this is balance. What it comes down to in this case is if the burst high damage can do enough damage while also semi surviving (through skill) enough to kill the survivalist. For the survivalist they have to survive long enough while doing bearly enough damage to slowly wittle down the aggressor’s high attacks. Perfectly balanced, now go find some poison to help counter some of that healing as well as something to remove some of those boons!

5 guys can’t do 1000 damage per second? Wow that’s bad…

Also, you know that plenty of other classes can achieve about the same hps and some even get protection thrown in for free (which warrior doesn’t have).

One thing we did not see in this video was the damage output from the defender. I can bet you if she was hitting back the damage would have been very, very, very low-average at best. Also you notice that the damage being done to this defender was on the low side so I would say none of the enemies were in berserker mode. Probably either bunker builds themselves or semi survival/damage. If there was 1 or more berserkers this fight would have been VERY different.

The PvP section of the game would have a much higher population if we could stop spreading misinformation to the rest of the playerbase. Bunkers have never dominated PvP except for a couple months last year; you’ll usually see a couple people per team running a highly defensive build, but that’s it.

The specific skill in question, warrior signet, may be a bit on the strong side. I’m not talking about balance, I’m talking about PvP in general.

The PvP section of the game would have a much higher population if we could stop spreading misinformation to the rest of the playerbase. Bunkers have never dominated PvP except for a couple months last year; you’ll usually see a couple people per team running a highly defensive build, but that’s it.

The specific skill in question, warrior signet, may be a bit on the strong side. I’m not talking about balance, I’m talking about PvP in general.

The skill “Healing Signet” itself isn’t too bad, I run it on a Hammer/Mace/Shield Warrior. My regen on that is around 600 per tick, the danger doesn’t come in until I start running my Adrenal Healing which is another ~400 per tick plus food. And I’m not geared 100% for healing either. Keeping in mind, I do mediocre DPS, I auto for around 1.4k-3.6k depending on the enemy. But I run that for the stuns and interrupts for my group, not for the insane damage.

The OP is both wrong and right. If traited for 100% heals, and taking the kitten damage, that Warrior could be difficult, especially if running Healing Shouts and a set of soldiers runes for the cleanse on shout. That same warrior will never kill you though. Ever. In fact, if he did kill you, you failed very very hard at whatever “killer” build you were running.

It is based on Skill.
You simply ignore the fact that it is not based around 1v1.

It is based on spam, not skill.

Also poison is a anti healing/regen counter, find it for YOUR class!

Find me a poison on elementalist, guardian and warrior.
