That would explain a lot of the TP activity
I am only getting about 20% of what I used to get on the krait fractal. Did 5+ runs to make sure I am getting less.

Gold sellers are EXACTLY the same as the gem store as far as screwing up the economy and TP…it all equates to unearned in-game gold. Whether the gold comes from gold sellers or the gem store it still points to a buy2win scenario and both damage static in-game elements, such as crafting. The only difference is who the “real” money goes to.
If anything, it was better when bots were around because they helps control the cost by keeping stock in the TP up.

The only way to be listened is to affect these numbers. It can take some time but it will work.
Concerning the numbers published in this thread, they mean nothing. Our own personal experience since the launch of this game is the best parameter to compare with the actual game experience.
Its a personal decision to accept the current state of affairs, to keep complaining or to give up.
I expressed my opinion extensively on the closed thread.

Leamas – I understand what you are saying. Unfortunately no matter what game you are playing there are illegitimate gold sellers fouling up the in-game economies in the ways you demonstrate as well as many other negative impacts. And some games, like GW2, have legitimate avenues to buy gold.
I can’t think of a game that I have played that wasn’t the target of gold-sellers. The real difference between legitimate and illegitimate in-game gold purchases is that the legitimate sources take steps to at least try to minimize the impact where the illegitimate sources don’t care how badly they bork the game.
I believe that in many cases, otherwise illegitimate gold-buyers are converted into legitimate gold-buyers in games that offer the option where the impact is minimized.
My point is that no matter whether there is legitimate in-game gold buying or not there will always be illegitimate sources and buyers.

Penitent path event farming (28.12)
Duration: 2×45 min + some time doing other event stuff
Results: 4 yellow items. No essences
Notes: I had 34% Magic Find from equipment, glazed pear tart, and major sigil of luck. All yellow item drops were from penitent path events. I did not use banner this time.
I’d also like to note that the risen gorilla that is titled “champion gorilla” in the actual event window even though it’s just a vet never drops anything. The event in question is "Kill the angry Risen gorilla to save Fia and Jasper (80) ".
On a side note: I seem to have crappy luck converting those items into ectos. I salvaged them and one extra item from older run way before christmas to ectos and got four ectos out of the five items. I used black lion kit.
Dragon events
I ran four dragon events today: 2x Tequatl, 1x Shatterer, 1x Claw of Jormag. The end result was mix of greens and blues for all but Shatterer fight. Shatterer dropped a rare level 80 pistol.

The problem is that ANet is NOT doing what the gold sellers are doing and never get confused about it. My understanding is that the gold sellers typically use bots to collect resources to sell in game and then sell the gold to other players. It keeps the gold vs. TP stock relatively in check. Buying through the gem store adds tons of money to the in-game economy, but doesn’t add any extra TP stock. The only result this can have is to drive the price of wares in the TP up to a point where if you don’t buy gems you can’t afford to buy anything and quickly become disadvantaged. It’s simple economics, add money to the economy and limit stock production (DR, RNG, nerfed loot tables) to drive prices up.
In short, while buying through the gem store helps support the game, I think it’s much more damaging to the in-game economy than buying from gold sellers, who add items to the TP…not new gold to the economy. Whether it was by bot or grinding, the gold was earned in-game and simply changes hands. We’re getting off topic here and I’ll not comment on this further.
I have to agree with Leamas. There is absolutly NO question about it: Goldselling is BAD to all economy. But to offer the possibility to exchange Gems to Gold is even worse. Like Leamas said: Goldsellers have to get their Gold from somewhere WITHIN the Game. The Gold-Gem exchange generates ingame-gold out of nowhere. Neither one is good to the game.
As for now i see a gameeconomy which rises up in a steeper becoming spiral, that leads to point where ingame economy will collaps. Where prices rise and rise til barely someone can by something. Combined with the decreased-drop-problem more and more people will stop playing. Arenanet, this is your wakeup call. Buying Gems to convert into gold will only shortly compensate the low drops many people will getting. And i see only one solution to get in control of all that:
- stop the Gem to Gold transfer (or at least make it depend DIRECTLY like only Gold from people to exchange for Gems, maybe via tradingpost at a set rate)
- monitor your game and take direct aktions against goldsellers and botters
- to increase your income sell more funstuff via Gemstore (more skins => TONS of em). there are many ways of getting the work done for, there are even examples out there where people send in self made Items to the company to sell and get a share of the profit made
- and for the love of YOUR customers: reverse the droprate to normal and get rid of the DR-mechanic. Make the game feel like fun again, not feeling like a work.
With this system right now it is more likely that people rather stop playing than to buy more and more gems to be able to pay rising tradingpostprices. Buying gems to get the Gold needed for the fun people want is only working for a very little time.
Just finished Jormag
1 Green Armor (chest)
1 Green Opal Crystal

There are many forces that influence the market. In my mind, there is nothing advantageous to bots and gold-sellers. Since this is off topic – we’ll have to agree to disagree.
I would much rather compete in the market against natural players than against artificially efficient bots. If not for gold-sellers, there would be no reason for ANet to be in the gold market at all.
Gems to Gold doesnt add money to the economy. It even takes 30% money out of the economy, because you get 30% less gold for your gems, than people have to pay to get gems
@Malediktus:You do realize that the gold people get for trading Gems into gold doesn’t come from the game? And u realize that this Gold is GENERATED additionally to the money “earned” by players doing events, dungeons and dropped by monsters?
Bying Gold for Gems is not taking ingame gold out of the Game A ALL. It is always an addition to the Gold ingame. Both is harming the ingame economy the same way, except that one is unwanted (botting. goldselling) for a reason, and the other might be unintended (buying gold via gems, Arenanet might have not been aware of some peoples behavior not knowing limits).
But to stay on Topic:
Can´t come with further more reasons. I just don’t feel like i want to play. And one big reason is that playing feels like work being incredibly unrewarding. So i am mostly just reading from now on. The game used to be great, and i hope it will be again…… soon.

Your logic is flawed. More people are buying gems for gold than selling gems for gold, or gem price wouldnt go up. Additionally buying gems has 30% tax. So a lot of money is leaving the economy.

Dragon event
Did four dragon events and got 3 rares I belive. Also did a bit more unscheduled farming and got a few putrid essences.
I’d also like to note that sometimes the enemies in Jormag’s crystal event stop dropping any loot. Also again the champion enemies (i.e. champion ooze king, champion mobs in melandru event etc) don’t drop anything.

That was ninja nerf, yes. No patch notes, yes. But they declared (can’t find proof) something like “summoned mobs must not drop anything”. Bug fixed
Summoned mobs not dropping anything is pure bs, if it can kill it should drop loot. when barracuda’s suddenly summon 2 adds they can kill you a lot easier yet you no longer get extra rewards for it.
and once again it has been over a week since this topic started and not a single reaction yet.
Starting today im gonne send a bug report about it a couple of times each till they get fed up and either ban me or fix it.
Some summoned mobs do drop stuff, like wolves summoning other wolves for example. Although I wouldnt be suprised if there was some kind of flag on certain mobs labeling them as “summoned”, while on others not. Makes sense though for certain summons to actually drop loot, like the case of the wolves, since they dont actually (disregarding gameplay mechanics) summon other wolves from thin air but call on them as if they are in the world already (disregarding gameplay mechanics). Same should go for barracudas and other such “summons”.
Nice to see this thread growing quickly. From 1 to 7 pages and 320+ posts in a couple of days while I was away over christmas. Keep it going! Personally I do not have the patience to record my drops and do not play enough atm to see any changes. I do still get crap drops though, a single rare while doing several events and explored all of cursed shore. From event chests and champions.. I can could count myself lucky if I get greens (disgregarding mats and sigils, which to be honest should not affect the quality of gear drops, at least not if anet has any common sense).
Im finding myself playing less now, due to the game feeling rather unrewarding. Sure, I can farm dungeons for tokens, but what happened to having several different ways of aquiring gear at a sensible rate? Give more incentive to kill champions (non event ones too) and do events and perhaps there will be more people caring about the open world.
Also, I think it was rather idiotic move by some moderator to shut down the other thread, as it would be beneficial to have one thread for discussion and this thread for.. as you, Stephane Lo Presti, called it “concrete facts”.

Your logic is flawed. More people are buying gems for gold than selling gems for gold, or gem price wouldnt go up. Additionally buying gems has 30% tax. So a lot of money is leaving the economy.
No sir, your logic is flawed. There is nothing u could buy with gems right now that makes sense. I thought about buying Gems for gold too. But since i have only little gold (around 10 gold total) i am not willing to get ONLY 70 gems for 1 Gold… which means i can not even get TWO bankstorage upgrades for my gold.
On the other hand you get pretty much Gold for your gems, and it is the quickest and most efficient way to get your hands onto a reasonable amount of gold when you are a casual player (which means you don’t play much or even every day).
Buying Gems for Gold would take out a huge amount of ingame currency. BUT buying Gold with gems adds ingame currency to the already existing. And that is the problem. Some people seem to think that you can only buy the gems people who traded gems into gold brought into the game. There is no limited Stock of Gems to buy with gold. The mechanic works as when many people buy gems with gold, the goldprice will rise while the amount of gems you get will decrease. On the other hand the amount of Gold you get for your gems rises to encourage people to buy Gems, cause that is the way Arenanet is making extra money. Gold and resources are not limited to be earned ingame. In fact there is no limit at all: if someone decides to by Gems for ONE MILLION Dollar and exchanges this into Gold this would add almost one million of Gold into the game out of nowhere. It didn’t take time to earn this money in game, it is just there ADDITIONALLY. And since you could even buy legendaries with gold over the TP there are probably a some people save their time by buying Gold, which on the other hand lets TP-prices rise because of the additionally money made.
Unless u can prove to me your theory with some prooven official numbers i just stay on my oppinion that you are horrorbly wrong. This exchange does very bad to the ingame economy when it all goes crazy. And everybody playing MMOs for the past years knows: if u let the community do what they want things WILL get out of control, because some people don’t know limits…. not even their own.
Of course there is a limited amount of gems to buy with gold.. BUT, its limited by the people who buy gems from ANET in the first place (to sell for gold). If nobody ever bought gems from ANET, there would be no gems to buy for gold.
Back when you got alot more gems for your gold, I spent a couple of gold on them. Right now, its alot more sensible both goldwise and timewise to just pay directly to anet. (and the only thing I would spend gems on atm are some more bag slots for some of my alts, but currently I dont feel any need to).

Spent 3 hours in Cursed shore running events in a group and a lot of other players around. Completed the following successfully:
- Grenth, full chain
- Arah, full chain
- Plix, fill chain
- Penitent, full chain
- Champion Drake Broodmother
- Risen Champion Gladiator
- Plus most of the smaller single events throughout the map.
Dropped a total of 2 rares – one pistol and one putrid essence, both from normal mobs. This includes both chests. No exotics. Out of the 10+ champions, only 2 dropped, both of which were blues which vendored for less than a silver. Nothing notable from any veterans.
Anet, is this your expected drop rate? 8+ champions dropping nothing. 2 of the major event chains in the only true level 80 map, rewarding only blues with one or two greens in the final chest? This was not just me, checked in map chat and everyone replied with the same thing – only blues or greens. This isn’t farming, we completed the events as they popped up on the map and the notifications said what to do. I had just logged in before starting this so that shouldn’t interfere…
- John Smith
I think the burden of proof is on you not me. There are allegations and observations about loot drops from Nov15 on and DR before that by 1000s of players.
Prove to me how the drops havet changed and why as an open world player I receive far less per hour than a fractal runner does. Why give 1 player more than another?
I dont have access to your metrics before or after but please share…..
please any further information would be enlightening. I mean wasnt there supposed to be an answer the day after the ama?
I do welcome any further information.

Note: I am referencing (Vets) parenthetically because I don’t know if ANet considers (Vets) part of the Champion level mob or as part of the normal level mob. Player discussion in this thread is divided on this topic.
We know that Champs/Named bosses/(Vets) drops are definitely still broken – many, myself included, continue to report poor and especially no drops from this class of mob. ANet in a patch announced they fixed this issue but I’m afraid that the fix they put in didn’t work. My assumption is that through the holidays that the devs continue to work on this issue and hopefully we will see another attempt at fixing it.
However, the frequency of Rares dropping on the mid-level mobs ((Vets) and/or normal mobs) is lower now anecdotally compared to October and earlier. My question for the developers would be is this working as intended? It occurred to me that we are not getting any direct reports from players demonstrating a Rare drop-rate at pre-November levels. (We have occasionally seen second-hand reports of others getting better Rare-drops but so far I don’t remember seeing any first-hand reports of drops like this).
I would like those readers of this thread who may have experienced pre-Nov. level Rare drops to please post letting us know what your drop notes are. The point being that if the Rare-drops we are reading about in this thread are the result of RNG or PRNG or DR then we should be seeing equal or greater Rare-drop reports to offset the low Rare-drop reports we are experiencing and reading about.
NOTE: The following request is for those readers who have not posted here who are / might-be getting better drops that might indicate an RNG/PRNG/DR explanation for the lower frequency drops we have already seen reported in this thread:
Please, if you are or have been getting at least periodically pre-November, better Rare-drop levels currently then we do need to have those reported as well.
We need to know about better drop results if they are happening. I would also ask those who have been getting poor drops to please do not flame any reports of better drop rates. Regardless of the significance of the reports, we are only mis-leading ourselves if there are players with better drops who cannot post due to the fear of being flamed.

Why not patch in some code to record information about drops and look at the data for yourself? Why on earth are you asking players to provide you data about a game you are running?
This is like a bank asking its clients to check how much money is their accounts and report it back to them. You have got to be kidding me.
April 1st is a while away so I guess this post is not a prank, but the company running the game requesting that the players provide them data is so absurd I feel like we’re being trolled.
One does not simply acquire loot in Tyria.
So today I’ve reached an impass. Decided not to log in. See the only thing I can do is my daily that’s worth anything at this point. I was only logging into the game the last few days to farm to report what I received during my farming sessions, I’d log back off immediately to report them here in this thread.
- Fractals still DC, so do many of the dungeons (altho i despise they have gone to this system I’ve tried it a couple of times, the drops in there are just as bad as open world for me for an enormously higher difficulty rating and often a huge repair cost.)
- open world events don’t give anything i can use anymore. I have all my karma armor, oddly they don’t offer exotic versions of aquatic helms or town clothing for karma.
- almost no rares drop for me on anything anymore mf dungeons openworld or not I hit DR withing the 6th mobs death and get either nothing or skulls over and over.
- the monthlies require the broken dungeons
- I’m no good at pvp so going to wvw is out of the question for me. with the allowed and ignored exploits to grief players trying to complete the map it’s pretty much not worth it imo.
- other then two niche builds the class I was interested in playing still has a large laundry list of bugs 4 months later.
So basically there is nothing to do for a legit farmer/explorer like me. I had such high hopes for this title. I guess asking a developer to keep their word about what they said their title would be pre-launch is too much to ask in the mmo market.
Oh well, I’ll be checking back in the forums over the next few months, hopefully by feb they’ll have realized what they have done to this game and fixit. I guess it’s Legend of Grimrock and Torchlight 2 for me for a while then.

- 1-Helm (not identified)
- 1-Berserkers Speargun (blue)
- 1-Large Bone
- 3-Porous Bones
- 1-Travelers Orrian Shortbow of Earth (green)
- 1-Acolyte Shoes
- 1-Heavy Moldy Bag
- 1-Cleric Axe of Smoldering (green)
- 120 some what appears to be Ash Legion Spy Kits.
In the 2ndBAG we see his Exotic armor set, some boosters, a unid dye and a couple weapons.
He reopens his inventory where we see that he has cleared out the Starter Backpack (Contents 52/110; Karma-35883; Coins-11s 47c). We see the same contents in the 2ndBAG and we see in the 3rdBAG:
- 1-Oricalchum Ore
- 3-Mithril Ore
- 1-Large Bone
And in the 4thBAG we very briefly see the top of:
- 1-Putrid Essence
- 100+ of something I couldn’t identify from the top of the icon.
One other note: I don’t know his character name for sure but before the next event, the chat window indicates that he might have received an in-game mail from a party member. If he did, then we don’t know what that mail contained. We have no indication whether there were items in the mail or if they are itemized in this video.
- Protect Historian Fia on search for Gorillas; 1s 86c; 378 karma – During this event we see that he has apparently salvaged 3 items because on the right side of the window we see that he acquires:
- 1-Mithril Ore
- 1-Gossamer Scrap
- 1-Elder Wood Log
- Kill the angry Risen gorilla; 1s 86c; 378 karma – On this event, the event progress bar indicates he is fighting a “Champion Risen Gorilla” but the mob portrait identifies the mob as “Veteran Risen Gorilla”. The video did not indicate a drop on this boss. We are unsure whether it was a Veteran Gorilla or a Champion Gorilla.
Now he does his drop summary and vendor sell-off and salvages:

He then shows his totals: 51725 Karma; 65s 78c. The Rare that he got this run he listed on the TP for 55s 50c (iirc). There is no indication if the item sold at that price (there were 4 others listed on the TP at the same price) and he did not collect any sale proceeds during the video.
He mentions during his summary he likes to start with 4 silver but we aren’t sure what he started this run with. We do know that he had 6s 66c the first time we see his inventory.
One does not simply acquire loot in Tyria.
Indeed, one must simply record loot drops pre-15th and also since and make comparisons because thats what the game is all about. If you haven’t been keeping a record of your drops since day one, “I pity the life you’ve wasted!” (Tannis quote from BL2).
I can’t go back in time Stephanie, sorry, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. Check my login details if you want.

At this point they are getting beyond redemption. Logging in less and less. The smarminess, condescension and inaction is unfortunate. Makes the overall experience less fun for me, dealing with the change, and knowing what I can expect from the gaming company.

Keeping a loot record is absurd. I pity you for playing such a horrible and tasteless rather generic as well as unsophisticated game, “Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.” ~Mark Twain.
As someone pretty familiar with statistics, I used to think people were just spouting conspiracy theories when claiming world drops had been greatly reduced. Now, I’m certain something has changed.
When I first got lv. 80 in September, I typically got one to three yellows an hour from Orr. I was actually upset and surprised if I didn’t get one. This is how farming was for me until a recent patch.
Shortly before the patch nerfing Plinx, I stopped farming events in favor of dungeons and world vs. world. I just wanted to spice up my gameplay, and I had done so much farming that I decided to take a break for a bit. This was made relatively easy when the November patch came, and my time was consumed by fractals.
But I decided to jump back into farming recently. What I’ve found is that I’m surprised if I get even one yellow within three hours of farming. I still make okay money off the blues and greens, but I am getting considerably less yellows than I was before the November patch. Also, my bags are filling up considerably slower than I remember, so it seems other drops have decreased as well.
I know this isn’t perfect data, and I personally don’t like anecdotes too much for this sort of investigation, but in this case the anecdote is so obvious that I think it’s relevant.

“Perceived”
This is ridiculous.
They know exactly the drop percentages. They said, in an interview, that they can monitor and alter it whenever they want.
And they’re trying to pass it as a unintended “bug”, while it’s obviously something planned to drive us to the gem store.
Do they think we’re dumb (you know… maybe they’re right)? Am I the only one who feels insulted by this charade?
Also… you want “concrete” data? Didn’t you said it’s just “perceived”?
Well… ok, but how much will you pay me to do your job?

Lets see… Awhile ago I log into my ele and go to karka land and take a dive into the barracuda infested area. This I where I began a 3 hour farm of barracudas for materials.
Right away I hit DR as barracudas barely are dropping anything, even fins, with every kill. I do notice better drops rates if I whirlpool over 5 of them at once with their summoned buddies having drops when the originals don’t.
Every 5th to 20th kill, I get a large scale or rarely, an armored scale. everything else is nothing, fins or a white. I never see a blue until after every 20-30 kills. There was no greens or yellows.
I had almost 100 fins before I moved on to farm karka (also nothing but spiral shells because of DR) and go get my daily rich ori node. I then went back to Divinity’s Reach to Role play for the rest of the night. The whole time, I had no MF except for my trident and Ancient Karka shell (total is 10%).
I had to kill over 300 foes and had 6 Armored scales and 22 large scales. Anything cloth or metal I salvaged and sold all the wooden and leather stuff to a merch. If it wasn’t for the fins and other junk, I wouldn’t have left with 16-20 silver.

“The drop rarity of Rare and Exotic weapons from certain places in the world (champions, veterans, and players in WvW) has been increased. Rares and Exotics should be much more likely to drop and every champion should be guaranteed to drop loot. This was to ensure that world loot drops were not a significantly worse way of acquiring rare and exotic items than crafting and running dungeons.”
Champions rarely (if ever) drop anything for me. I helped kill 5-6 Champions today (12-30-12) and only got a drop one of those times. And that one drop was a blue trident & a salvage item.
I have had the last week off from work and have played at least 6-8 hours per day and in that time I’ve gotten less than one rare per day.
I have been playing since the pre-release days and have had maybe one exotic drop form an enemy kill. I have gotten exotics from two chests and of course zone completions…and of those two chests one was the Lost Shores event Karka chest.
Sometimes I think I have the absolute worst luck with drops. I can’t even count how many of the Wintersday gifts I’ve opened only to get endless streams of wool clothing, recipes & some toy weapon skins. My husband got an unbreakable bell after about 50 gifts.
I only buy magic find armor and outfit my runes to have as much magic find as possible, I use the Wayfarer Spineguard and all magic find jewelry. I’d love to be able to buy armor to make my characters more effective killers, but I’m afraid if I do that I’ll be stuck with bags full of brittle bones, hooves and broken lockpicks. :-/
They closed the original topic, the one which already contained all the data they require, because it is an embarrassment and may scare off potential players coming to these forums for more info about the game.
Nothing will come of this. This horse is long dead…
I pray this isn’t true, it’s been a while since I could sweep anything under my carpet. Maybe Anet need a Dyson? Bah, and the Necro’s sent them cake!

Penitent path event farming (31.12)
Duration: ~60 min + some time doing other event stuff
Results: 1 yellow item and 2 putrid essences.
Notes: I had 52% Magic Find from equipment, omnomberry bar, and major sigil of luck, and banner. It’s also hard for me to estimate the total time now since the farming was not continuous. I visited dragon events in between. However in general I noticed there were a lot less drops in general this time around. I wasn’t teamed this time though.
Dragon event
I lost track of the dragon events. I think I did four of them and got two rares from a single shatterer event. The rest was junk.
As someone pretty familiar with statistics, I used to think people were just spouting conspiracy theories when claiming world drops had been greatly reduced. Now, I’m certain something has changed.

I’m glad that a statistician (or at least a statistics-focused math major) is chiming in on this thread.
My interest in this thread topic isn’t as much about missing great loot. My game account is one of those typically ‘unlucky’ accounts and because of that, I’m not as profoundly affected by this issue as others. But the point of my participation is that, being a low-value-loot player, any decrease is going to further gimp my drop values.
It’s against the rules to divulge the contents of private messages, but having received a PM titled “You’re not helping” from a fellow player I’m feeling a bit defensive. I think that by keeping an open mind (trying to do my best) and trying to “perceive” ANet’s point of view that my participation in this thread is hopefully bringing fresh ideas and objective data.
Hence my reply to Lopez:
Since apparently ANet’s response to this issue is to stick to their assertion that they did not nerf drops; for the sake of discussion, a possible cause for this issue that grants ANet’s assertion might be a coincidental cause has occurred to me.
Lopez – Considering this all happened in November, when the free trial weekend also occurred, do the statistics possibly support a dilution effect?
What I mean is that since we don’t know player population and how it is ebbing and flowing – is it possible that the game acquired so many new players due to the free trial weekend that loot totals per player have been diluted to appear to be an overall reduction in drops?
Also, since November GW2 has been collecting a lot of “Game of the Year” awards (one of the highest profile awards being Time magazine) which probably will also increase the player population!
So let’s assume for this discussion that player population has increased dramatically (I understand that there are possible arguments against this – but also consider that ANet has not reduced the number of servers). If this is the case and that the population increase has diluted the loot tables:
Wouldn’t it be reasonable (based on the Associative Property of Addition and Multiplication) that ANet could safely increase the quantities of higher value items in the loot tables and still retain the balance of the economy?
I sound like I’m a math person, but I’m not really. I just remember some stuff from math courses. Which is why I’m glad to have you, Lopez, to help us to understand if this is a valid possibility to explain this issue and whether re-adjusting the loot table quantities can re-balance the economy that a possibly higher population has unbalanced?
I would like to share data but due to my perceived drop rate on loot i have skewed my view on playing the game and have no data that is recent or up to date

I have put in yet another support ticket on this issue (last one was closed with no resolution) because my experience is not just perceived, so there must be something wrong with my account.
I used to get more equipment than any other loot type, I now get more junk than any other loot type with equipment being the least.
I used to get a rare or 2 almost every event, now I am lucky if I get one a day.
Most times champs drop nothing despite patch notes saying every champ should drop something.
I used to be able to keep a character updated in armor and weapons as I leveled them, now I am struggling with armour and weapons 15-20 levels lower than the characters level forcing me to use trading post to keep up to date.
I used to make 10G a day doing events in cursed shore from drops. Now it can take me 3-4 days to make 10G from the same events selling the exact same way.
You are telling me that my current “bad luck” is perceived, does that mean my previous “good luck” was also perceived?

I soloed the following events: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kill_the_jotun_abomination_destroying_the_Priory_camp
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defeat_the_stone_guardian_and_its_minions

All happened the same day. I got 3 blue items total, a few whites and an Opan Gemstone from the Elemental, on the other hand killing a risen chicken in Malchor’s Leap rewarded me with a Rare Scepter.
No wonder people are farming normal mobs and avoid Champions, please keep in mind how long it takes to kill a Champion compared to a normal mob and adjust their loot accordingly, it’s hard to understand how a mob I can kill in ~4 seconds (the chicken) drops higher quality loot than a Champion that I forgot to count how long it took, but I’m sure I used my Signet of Resolve at least 2 times…
I don’t know how much you “imrpoved” the drop rates of Champions but obviously it’s not enough
