Hopefully it is an expansion. I really want some meatier new content(professions, races, new weapons, new skills, new traits, new relevant story content) rather then temporary content that seems like it is copied and pasted and then altered slightly and even more cosmetics.

Ha ha that would be cool. I hate pretty much all the tops for the medium class because about 95% of them are coats >_< sometimes I just go around shirtless on my Engineer because I refuse to wear a coat. Wish we could hide them :-(

Well I figured it is sort of a related comment but yes, probably best not to throw too much out at a time, after all Scarlet must take priority.

My prediction…

Crafting increased from 500 to 600!
New Legendary items to craft!
New rewards in existing content!
Another healing skill!
Easter bunny suit with colored egg basket in gems store!

I want to believe, I really do.

But these are the same people who claimed that Flame and Frost would be an “expansions worth of content”. So I’m not holding my breath, honestly.

My expectations are low Anet. Perfect time for you to wow the heck out of me

You shouldn’t say anything like this.

You guys made the manifesto, a lots of idiots (like myself) bought it and then you said it was false and not to be take it seriously.
In 2012 you promised a expansion-worthy of new content for the first months of 2013 and you give us Scarlet -_-

Also, unless you fix all the Dynamics Events currently bugged or make a true profession balance, any new content (including a full-permanent expansion) will be pointless.

So my bet is on:

legendary trinkets and armor grind of doom.

Yup it will be time-gated at 1 year per mat.

I’ve learned to ignore all hype about upcoming content and features and simply focus on what I see in game on release day. The two are usually worlds apart.

Hell yeah! Looking forward for another “expansion worth of content”… Wait, no.

Just to curb everyones expectations, this isnt far from what we heard at the start if 2013.
Expansions worth of content and all, pre-living story, etc, etc…

Expect something….just dont expect it to be groundbreaking.

Looking forward to 2014, here’s hoping craftable precursor to end the RNG (though, not necessarily cheaper), more home-instance stuff (i.e. mini SAB, etc), better guild management tools, new guild missions, more plans to populate other zones, improved pre-event for world bosses (i.e. each pre a player succesfuly completes grants the players improved drop rate for the boss encounter), more player character customization (more faces, more skin tones, etc), closure of Scarlet arc and opening of dragon arc, and more more more more more….

Can’t wait for the new tier of gear, class unbalance patches, rotating monthly “click on x 250 times” checklists to do, and all of that amazing gem shop content!

If its not an expansion I’m not sure if I can get too excited over it.

Since my previous post got deleted because apparently sarcasm inst the right way to criticize, could you please define ‘’an amazing year’’ because if its more temporary content and low quality and short contents its gonna be a major let down, you gonna have to trow us a bone here and re-kindle our love for gw2 because bunch of decent looking mmos are coming out this year and gw2 is on the short list of loosing players.

That is the only reason I am excited. If Anet said the same thing, I wouldn’t care or believe it. The fact that a player is saying that it’s better than an expansion means so much imo.

In before its more LS updates beatable on day one, 13 days of a wasteland, less rewards, and many minor content that doesn’t add more to the full game.

I would agree, but he’s not a normal player. He’s an editor at a very popular news site. Many of them hyped GW2 pre-launch, with very few criticisms.

Since when has advertising ever been truthful? Seriously, Why is there a GW2 advertisment on other websites that shows animated art of a person with a Cape, but there is no capes in the game. Gods, The nerve Anet has to lie to us……

I’m going to throw this out there, I think the title of this might be better named “some big bug coming out in 2014!”

I’m excited for what’s coming, but at the same time I am going to be cautiously cynical.

Cmon guys, we all know that in the end its 3 blues and 1 green.

I can only imagine more Scarlet, more grind or some feature that was supposed to be included with the game since release. Or maybe the 3 of them at the same time.
