Stop it with the Open World raid content
With all this said, the only real difficulty that has ever come in any of GW2’s mega-events is coordination, because its Open world. The mechanics that lay behind the wurm, teq, marionette, LA, Boss Blitz are all quite fairly; easy and sorta fun. Real difficulty has not been seen yet for raid style content in gw2.
I’m not sure what you are saying here, the bolded parts seems contradictionary to me.
I do agree with you that organization/coordination is a kind of difficulty and Anet is doing well in pushing that instead of only going for simple reaction time challenges (which they also use quite often). If that is what you are point out, like I said it’s not entirely clear where you stand.
I think such content should take the forum of Tequatl and the like and not be pushed into living story too much, because difficult/challenging content and short time windows cause player frustration.
I feel the same way trying to find a competent enough map group to complete some content.
Trying to do anything with the general gw2 player base is like herding cats.
I swear, you can talk to them nicely and explain the theory behind how such an event should be completed. You can yell and throw very accurate and well earned insults but ANYTHING you try seems to fall on deaf ears for all except a small handful.
I can’t stand gw2 zerglings.

The short time window is a major source of frustration. Especially for those that understand the fight but can’t get the cooperation to finish.

A thousand times this.
I can’t… I mean I just can’t understand some people in this game.

A focus on open-world group content is one of the few things this game has going for it over its competition. Sure, how the fights are presented and the mechanics involved could use some refinement and streamlining, but the overall concept is great.
In other words: They need to do more of it (practice makes perfect, after all), not less.
Maybe could we get giant red text floating on the screen giving tips on completion when an event is failed?

They already have the yellow text message that tells you the boss you just killed passed his/her elite skill to the other bosses in the pavilion.
Reason would tell you that next time it may be smart to kill them all at the same time so they can’t do that. However that is making an assumption that everyone playing ‘reads’ that message banner and ‘interprets’ it the same way.
Anet did give hints but when doing open-world content available for a limited time, that isn’t zerg-smash, they will have to take this into consideration. Not everyone ‘gets it’.
When the event starts they will have to hand hold a bit more and just say “Try to kill them all at the same time.”
The time constraint on Living World content is going to frustrate players trying to get their achievements. I would love to see how fast the community can learn as a whole but I’m not sure everyone wants to be as patient as myself.

If they develop their events to play for their own only, they might could do, because it’s her game. But they don’t have to wonder if no player anymore here playing with the developers private game !! A game is made for a wide range of people and it is not the role of ANET how to do or how many peopel have to pay for doing their events. The game should be done that everyone could do and play the game with several attempts to solve and not only the way developers wants to see it. If they do so, don’t wonder if playing very soon alone the events with the testing software only, but no more with players.

Thats the point of OP, there are many players that dont care at all, they want to do the lazy auto afk way. even 15 of those players in a 70 man instance will ruin the Gold reward.
