This is a suggestion for a temporary solution of “account-bound” commandership.

Characters with a commander book used already could buy an account-bound version of the Commander’s Compendium for free (maybe no gold, only 250 badges of honor, or totally free), then bank it for other characters.

This would only work if ANet isn’t planning on refunding those with multiple commander books used already. Which I’m not exactly sure about, since if it affected a larger number of players then it would be a large amount of gold dumped into the economy, which they clearly wouldn’t want.

Hum, maybe not for free and not account-bound.
But at least a discount after you had bought the first one.
That would actually incentive buying a comm tag and make it easier for the already commanders.
Maybe like half the gold, double the badges.

This is something I’d like. One way or another I’d like to have an “account bound” commander tag. I mean the World XP is now account bound, ascended is account bound, achievements are account bound, I’d really like for my 8 toons to be able to share the commander tag after all I do the same things with all of them.

What if they made it so once you had it unlocked on one character, you had to become a commander in your PS for each character? lol just throwing that idea out there.

Supported. Now that WXP is going to be account bound, being able to Command on any of my characters would be a fantastic QoL improvement.

Yes please, account bound this. I’m holding off buying this for the rest of my characters not because of the cost but it just seems ridiculous to do it that many times, I mean I could probably buy all the stuff I need for a nice legendary with that much gold or be commander on all my characters…
