Guild Wars 2

So maybe it’s been suggested before, but I was thinking it’d be a good idea to create a system to save the trait combinations (in pve) and the whole build (in pvp), not unlike the one that guild wars had. I play an Elementalist and every time I change from staff to daggers I have to create from scratch the build. Or even without changing weapons, I need to change the traits because of what I’m doing every time. So I was thinking a way that would let you load your saved trait combinations and such, would make it more comfortable.
I’ll appreaciate comments and criticism.

It’s not official. But a dev asked publicly what we’d want to see in such a system and he was talking to us on the forums. I’m sure it was mentioned in at least one other place. And we know that Anet was hiring database programmers at around the same time, and of course, such a system did exist in Guild Wars 1.

So they never said this system is coming out, but it would be really silly for a dev to ask for what people want in their ability to save builds if they weren’t working on it.

This has been requested almost since release and I’m shocked it wasn’t included in the HoT announcement. I’m still hopeful they’ll make it happen in a feature patch relatively soon. Especially with Specializations coming, I’d like to be able to save builds so they can be switched with ease.

Huge QoL improvement this would be.

It’s true. This would completely change how I play the game.

Will probably come along with specialisations in HoT, based on what we know.
