With zerker I now deal *more* damages...
Go to wvw, the mobs there haven’t been downscaled.
I actually have to go full zerker to be able to survive, before that I have been mostly soldier’s – oh the irony.
Yeah, I agree. Anything sub-80 is kinda silly now. Did AC earlier tonight on my 80 Engine with a friend who uses a thief and we brought a lvl 45 Ranger along with 2 lvl 20s. The level 20s (117-140 APs) were friends who just happen to be standing outside AC when we were getting a group together. They were asking, “What is this place!?” and seemed intrigued, so we had them join our group to ‘make some memories’. We basically duoed an instance scaled for 5.
Well they nerfed the Mobs to make leveling easier for the new Characters but it seems they forgot to adjust the downscaling für the low lvl zones.
Not anything to do with zerk.
They lowered mob difficulty because lower levels have less traits,…but they didnt increase the downscaling.
It is because they fixed the buggy way crit damage down scaled.
Yes in a lot of dungeons and zones zerker has actually been buffed.
I documented it here https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Zerker-was-buffed-in-numerous-zones-PvE/first#post3905579
Crit-Damage was down-scaled in a weird way before the patch despite being a fixed percentage.
Now it works just like Precision, meaning you should have roughly the same crit-damage at every level. In practice this means your crit-damage in AC might have gone from 30% to 75%. That’s quite significant.
Maybe they did, but it removes the thrill of the pugroulette. That’s bad.
I’m sorta glad they did the rework of mobs <80 because many an engineer had the complaint of there being a problem with DPS at level 60 I experienced this too when I was leveling but pressed on by going to lower level zones. Since doing this it looks like it might help new players with classes they haven’t quite completely fixed yet.
Apparently, Anet felt that open world PvE was just too challenging for new players and that it needed to be dumbed down. So they pushed traits back 20 levels and made all the monsters easier in lower level zones. This, of course, leads to enjoyable gameplay and prepares a player for end-game content. /sarcasm

Of course, now those level 60 engineers will not have access to GM traits and will be worse off than before. Cheers Anet. You made things less interesting.

Like regular monsters? You had trouble surviving the regular mobs in WvW in soldier gear? Yikes…….that’s…….yikes……
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

I already wondered if the people that always cry about the nerf have actually ever noticed how bad crit damage has scaled, and that you often now do more damage than before when downscaled.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Anet need to add HARD mode to there dungeons that are for lvl80 with exotic+ gear, dungeon we have now are build for low lvls in mind that why they are all so easy.
