I was gonna make a joke, but that EA comment scared me cause it could be true. . . .

Wait so WHY is it things are pointing towards an expansion? I don’t see any reason things aren’t going to carry on normally with gradual improvement and continued storylines.

And why is everyone saying “Hearth” instead of “Heart” of Thorns?

This is all a dream and we are in a dream within a dream. That would be an awful announcement. OR a huge meteor is heading in our direction and we don’t have enough bombs/pillows to stop it. OR the moon ISNT made out of cheese! I really hope its not the last one because eating cheese off the moon is on my bucket list.

The Worst that could happen? I can think of a few:

Heart of Thorns is the name of LS2 and they are releasing it as an “expansion” for those that don’t already have it!

Heart of Thorns is just a name for LS3 which is 100% similar to LS2 (episodic content, sometimes lots of it, sometimes very very little, gems to unlock if you weren’t online etc)

Heart of Thorns is a new GW2 Book that takes place around LS2 (and maybe some parts of LS1), although I like GW2 Books and have them all, I don’t want HoT to be a book!

Heart of Thorns will be a new story in PVE that offers no new PVP modes/maps, no WvW updates, no dungeons, no fractals, just open world PVE and story instances

They announce a new engine for Guild Wars 2 with superior graphics, true interactable features and it saves your spot on the map if you DC. Unfortunately it has a tiny little bug. RNG characters. Everyday your characters are randomly switched to another profession and appearance. Names are also randomly switched between all the character names in the game. In addition, if your new name breaks TOS and you get reported, you get a 72 hour suspension.

They hope to iron out this bug soon and will implement the fix “when it’s ready”

They could announce they make 2 faction and wild pvp on open world between these 2 faction.

I would just uninstall the game and never play again.

That could be good news. EA takes over the IP and gives it to Westwood Studios. Expect a new Guild Wars every year, just like we wanted.

In both cases we will for sure see a continuation of the current cash-shop approach that has been sucking the fun out of this game for two years.

It would be best if we could finally hunt down our rewards in the game in stead of grinding currency for them or buying them. A paid expansion at least gives that opportunity.

I think the most controversial would be a increase to the lvl cap, lets say from 80-100.

They have previously said they would consider increasing the level cap at some point, so its not off the table…lol.

Another totally off the wall / totally never going to happen, would be if the (failed) Wildstar was incorporated into GW2 in some way!?!! I have seen this posted more than once…
